Description of Work: A representative answered the phone on my first attempt to contact. I was interested in building a screened deck (500 sq ft). They asked about my budget would be and I replied about 30K. They replied that I would be better off looking at other remodeling, and deck building companies as they really specialized in high end projects around 100K or so. I was surprised but appreciated the candor and the fact they did not waste my time. I have heard good things about this company and would recommend them to clients looking for a high end budget and result.

 + 16 moreWe have used Kuzma Construction for almost 20 years. They have done small, Built-in desk and bookshelves to a complete second floor addition and kitchen renovation. They are not the cheapest but the quality of the work is excellent. They and their subcontractors arrive when they say they will, treat your house like their own, clean up as they go along and finish on or before scheduled. The kitchen renovation we just completed came out beyond our expectations and is a delight to work in. We would highly recommend Kuzma Construction to anyone.
Description of Work: Kuzma Construction did a complete second floor addition & first floor remodel for us several years ago. That job was finished in 14 weeks, 2 weeks ahead of schedule. They added 3 bedrooms, 2 baths reworked the fist floor to add a family room with masonry fireplace built-in bookshelves. new stair to second floor and new front porch. Last year Kuzma added 2 egress windows to our basement. This spring they did a complete kitchen renovation. New custom cabinets, countertops hardwood floor, all new plumbing, electrical, lighting & appliances. All this was done while we remained in the house.

 + 6 moreThey were really fantastic! There was a lot of follow up and they finished everything on time and within the budget they proposed. It was just well done. It was very good value. He also worked well with the architect, the people that dealt with zoning, and the restrictions based on being in a historical district. He even came in later to do some touch ups before a party that we had and that was his idea. He will be back to check in again before the job is a year old.
Description of Work: Initially we were with another company that went bankrupt in the middle of our job. Half of our house was torn off on the back and a lot of the work was done improperly so we had Kuzma come in to correct all of the work that was done. They were the only ones who came in with solutions to help us get the job done right. They tore down part of the work that had been started. We added a back room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a screen in porch, and a deck. It was a one story addition.

 + 3 moreThey did a good job on the interior of the house. It was a complicated job. They not only painted but did some plastering work, a lot of patchwork, and some minor carpentry. Their pricing was fair and they were somewhat less expensive than other companies.

 + -1 moreIt's a small company that has a very tightly knit group of subcontractors that are all coordinated extremely well by the owner who is punctual, precise and very straightforward with his estimates for work. They're very, very easy to work with. I gave them a B on price because I think they're a bit pricey.

He and his sub-contractors were terrific, without exception. Mr Kuzma is reliable, responsive, and professional, the kind of contractor you would definitely want to do business with! It was a great experience, considering how stressful this kind of project can be. His prices are fair, you get what you pay for!
Description of Work: This renovation/addition involved expanding the garage, adding a second story to it, renovating the master bedroom suite (including bathroom) and renovating a second bathroom. It also included gutting and rebuilding the kitchen.
