I recently had to leave my kitty for almost a week. Deb was fantastic - took great care of my elderly cat, sent updates and even spent time giving her cuddle time so she wouldn't be lonely. I don't travel often but am thrilled to know Deb will make sure everything is OK when I do have to leave. Highly recommend!

I'm extremely happy with the service I receive from In Good Paws Petsitting. They leave me notes telling what they did at every visit. It's easy to set up appointments online. I was also able to call and leave a message while I was away. I had neglected to give my cat her medication on the day I departed, as I had originally indicated I would, left a voice message and she got her medication that evening. My very shy cat is even warming up to Deb and allowed her to pet her this time. I'm always at ease when traveling knowing that my kitty is In Good Paws!

Great. Deb is so wonderful!!! We are able to book appointments through email which makes it easy for us to let them know dates and number of times, since it varies based on our travel.
One of our dogs is a rescue who is working through issues. She is very patient and understands his changing needs. Again we let her know through email, expect for feeding which we write out each time because it is always chagning. Every visit is documented what the dogs did, and how they were. I feel 110% comfortable when we are away. One time while playing our other dog reopened a split nail (which was from a bad grooming session earlier). Deb called us and let us know what happen and her opinion on course of action. She was willing to take to the vet even thought she had stopped the bleeding. We opted not to have her go to the vet, since it was a previous injury and it was already under control.

Deb is always punctual in returning emails requesting cat sitting service and providing an estimate. She also responds to emails while you are away if plans change or things happen. She leaves a daily summary of her visit for you to review on your return. A very professional cat sitter, and friendly.

We loved In Good Paws! I'm sorry that I moved out of their area. The owner came to our house for a free consultation before our service date. She spent over an hour with us getting to know our house rabbit. She'd had some experience with rabbits, but wanted to get to know him personally. Rabbits don't like to cuddle and play like dogs and cats, so a lot of pet sitters just dump the food and leave. Not In Good Paws! I could tell she let him out to play at his speed. She wrote a sentence or two each day telling us what he did, how he ate, etc. She took in the newspaper (totally not part of her job) and watered the plants (also not part of her job). She's a great lady, and I wish there were more like her out there!

Maddie and I have been working with Deb and her team since 2007, and we agree that the In Good Paws team is wonderful! They are flexible, almost always able to accomodate my last minute pleas for an extra walk or visit when I have been unexpectably detained. They are professional, providing email invoices on a biweekly basis and always letting me know in advance if another member of the team will be walking Maddie. They are respectful and thoughtful, taking care of my home and bringing in packages that have been delivered to my door. They know and understand dogs, handling Maddie at times when she has been less well behaved or has encountered aggressive dogs on their walks or knowing when to spend time playing inside or in the shade when it has just been too hot for a big furry dog! And most importantly, I know that they adore Maddie, and she adores them. I highly recommend Deb and her team!

In Good Paws Pet sitting is a great pet sitter. Deb is the epitome of professionalism. She is a very nice person who clearly loves animals. She also is a very responsible person (not all people who love animals are responsible or vice versa-she is both!). Our kitties are always glad to see us when we get back, but not nervous or freaked out when we get back, like they have been in the past with other sitters. They look glossy and well fed, and calm and happy. I also feel safe with "In Good Paws" because I trust them to take good care of my keys, lock the door, use common sense around the house. It is an added bonus to have not only the cats taken such good care of, but to know that if there were anything to worry about, In good Paws will let us know right away.

In Good Paws Petsitting has taken care of my cat on three occasions and I will definitely hire them in the future. They are prompt, professional and thorough. During the interview visit they have a questionairre and they ask extremely pertinent questions, some things I would not have thought to volunteer. You form a relationship with this company and before each visit they check your file to refamiliarize themselves with you and your pet's needs. On the first petsitting visit they bring a little notebook and thereafter they leave a message every time they visit including date and time, what they did and how the cat received them. They are bonded, insured and trained in pet CPR. This is not your neighborhood kid coming to feed your pet. They also emptied the litter boxes and checked the house, if I wanted they would turn lights on and off, raise and lower blinds, in other words house sit as well. I don't have plants but I think they would have also taken care of plants. You get what you pay for and I don't think $15-$20 per 20 minute visit is too much to pay for peace of mind when I'm away. On the first occasion my cat had special dietary needs and needed medication. That was not a problem. She also requires two daily feedings and her medication needed to be administered every 12 hours. They were able to schedule her visits around their other clients, many of whom are dogs requiring two walks a day, in order to space her meals 12 hours apart. I believe they also provide daily dog walking service for professionals who can't get home during the day. It is easier to reach them via email and they will get back to you pretty promptly. The only time they were unavailable for petsitting was when they also had travel plans.

I was apprehensive about hiring a new pet-sitter, but it was quickly evident I'd made the right choice. In addition to loving animals, Deb is very professional; she asked all the right questions, including a few I hadn't anticipated but which were important. She visited my somewhat high-strung dog three times a day for a week while I was away--administered meds, feedings, walks, plus some plant care. When I returned, I found a notebook with careful notes on each visit. My girl was obviously well cared for. What a relief! I'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

Everything went great! This is the first time we've hired someone to watch our animals (vs. using friends) because one of our cats was sick and needed some extra attention. Deb responded to our initial email right away and came to the house to meet us within just a couple days. She spent about 45 minutes getting to know us and the cats and asking a lot of really great questions about their behavior so she would know what was normal when she watched them. Plus, she talked a lot about security of the house (turning different lights on and off, taking the trash out on trash day, etc.) so we felt like she would keep an eye on more than just the cats. While we were gone, we needed to email her to pick up one extra shift and she responded quickly to let us know she could do it. When we got back she had left us a little notebook filled with notes from each visit to let us know how the cats were doing. And best of all, our sick kitty was doing great thanks to her personal care. She provides great service at a very reasonable rate so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. As a matter of fact, we'll be using her again soon.

It went perfectly. I also forgot to leave Deb a check (well, I wrote the check the night before we left, remembered it at the airport, but then I forgot where I put it!), and she was okay with my paying her when we returned, which was kind of her - cash flow is important to any business, and she was gracious with both the litter box and my payment goof. This service is highly recommended.

Our cat was blacklisted from boarding at the vet's office, where we normally take her, and both a friend and Angie's list recommended In Good Paws. I called and emailed, and heard back from her that day, and set up an appointment to see our house and meet our cat. Deb showed up right on time, and we just loved her. She is funny and down-to-earth, and clearly has a good rapport with animals. Our cat was definitely curious about her, and we were hopeful that she would be happy with Deb coming to visit. The intake appointment took about 30-ish minutes and she asked great questions, got familiar with our house and met the cat. She also was sure to inform us about her insurance and security procedures, which I appreciated. We went out of town a day or two later, and came home to a healthy, happy cat and summary notes from Deb's visits. We look forward to using In Good Paws in the future!

I am very pleased (and so is my cat) with the quality of Deb's pet sitting. From the first meeting when we discussed my expectations and the services she provides through the notes that she leaves me about how each visit went, Deb has been very professional. In addition, my cat can be difficult at times and she seems to deal with him well and has a sense of humor about his behavioral quirks. When I contact her via email, she always responds promptly. I have used her on several occasions so far and will continue to use her in the future. In Good Paws and Deb Donelson are the most professional cat sitters I have encountered during my 10 years in the Washington, DC metro area. It is a pleasure doing business with this company.

Deb has been our petsitter for our dog & 2 cats for over 15 months now. They all love her to pieces. However, we recently moved outside of her service area into a new house and I called Deb to ask her if she would please watch our cats (our dog was going with us) one more time since I didn't want to get a new sitter for them while they were still adjusting to the new house. Deb agreed. (Her normal charge is $16.50/visit but I offered to pay her $20/visit since we're outside her area now.) The day we were to leave, I took my cat, who has a problem with crystals in his urine, to the vet because things didn't seem right with him. Sure enough, he was having a flare up brought on, no doubt, by the stress of moving and having workmen in & out of our new house. I called Deb from the vet's office and told her what was up w/ Hobbs and that he'd need 3 different meds twice a day. No problem. If it wasn't for Deb, I never would've felt comfortable leaving him. She does a phenominal job with the cats and our dog. My husband and I are really sorry that our new place is too far for her to come - but if you're lucky enough to be in her service area we can't recommend her highly enough. She's the best!
