DB Genesis did a great job refinishing the hardwood floors throughout my house. The team made many repairs including numerous minor repairs that made the floors look like a new installation. The price was also very reasonable compared to other quotes. I would hire them again.

If you need any floors refinished, I can’t recommend DB Genesis enough! Kevin, the project manager, was so helpful (and patient) with my tons of questions prior to sanding and sealing two floors of my new home. DB Genesis simply can’t Ben beat in the DMV. I am a former contractor myself, and researched several flooring contractors before I chose DB Genesis, and I was absolutely blown away at their work, but even more so by their price. Their quote quote was usually $1000+ lower than other vendors (for example, about $6.50/sqf for Bruce prefinished 3/4” hardwood installed) and the quality of the work didn’t suffer because of it one bit. In fact, they were usually able to schedule the install within days of putting down the deposit, and finished the work before the day was over. They carry a variety of brands, species, and types of flooring, and have a solution for just about every price point. I’ve used them twice, and they are now my go-to flooring contractors.

Fantastic, and highly recommend. We were on a tight schedule and the estimate was immediate and far more professional than the other vendors we contacted. Estimate also came in lower then all others. We opted to complete only the first floor stair repair and refinishing. Job completed in 2 work days, to include molding and removal of all old/damaged wood with beautiful results. Supervisor/estimate specialist arrived morning of work along with 2 specialists working on the floor. Broken step was replaced, as well as reinforced with extra shoring. Flooring specialist provided samples to match first floor retaining with stairs and 2nd floor. Provided options for water and oil based paint. Highly satisfied with their work, and once we are on a budget will hire them back soon to replace the carpet in the guest room with hardwood.

I contact DB Genesis for the work at hand. We went to meet Donis at his lovely floor shop and presents our project. His customer service and experience was unremarkable. My husband and I had a specific stain in mind which took a bit of time to find. At the end our stain was made "custom". In all honesty, I am a very picky person which caused Donis to spend extra time helping us find the perfect stain, in which, he without rushing us and his expert eye and suggestions made it possible. He was very detailed in explaining the process of our project and we were able to schedule our project within the next 2 weeks. His team showed up right on time and were very courteous. They were mindful of my furniture and placed plastic sheets to prevent the dust from spreading all over my house. After each day of work they would clean up leaving my house without tools or dust lying around (without me asking), which was very important to me since I have small children. The work was completed right on time and without any delay. Over all, I highly recommend DB Genesis to anyone who wants the perfect outcome. Their detailed work and experience surpassed my expectation. I am in love with my floors and I owe it all to them! Thank you DB Genesis for your EXCELLENT work!

DB Genesis' manager for my job calmly came thru with a way to fix the issues and get the floor done. I needed to have a whole new contract drawn up, but that did not stop them from doing the work with only a one-day delay because of the change in job specification. DB Genesis' employees know their work, work hard with teamwork being the number one characteristic I noticed, and are generally respectful, courteous, and happy on the job! In the end it looks fabulous, and I am well pleased.

Dony's team was professional, accommodating, and fast! We picked him on Monday, he brought the new wood on Thursday, and finished on Monday! Four days! He tested out 4 stains on the floor for us to choose from, gave us his expert opinion on issues, and Dony was always responsive to get in touch with.

They did a fantastic job at a fair price.  Punctual and professional, they made every effort to keep this messy job as dust free and easy as possible.  They took extra measures to do quality work, like including new quarter round moulding and detail moulding on the stair risers.  

This was a great experience! Dony picked up our flooring from the store and brought it to our house. He suggested a way for them to lay the hard wood around our fireplace that gave a nice, finished look... And he didn't charge extra for that. They checked our subfloor and screwed down any loose places so the floor wouldn't squeak once it was laid. They moved our furniture for us and put felt pads under all of the legs of the furniture before they put it back in place. He even told us how to clean the floor to keep it looking great. Dony and his crew were friendly and professional throughout the process. We highly recommend them!

Start to finish Donny and his team were on time, clean, and did a great job.  He communicated the process with me the entire time.  At one point the stain was drying a bit slower than anticipated.  He communicated that to me and let me know options.  He walked me through the job every day to ensure i was 100% happy.  You could see the pride he and his team took in the work.  I loved working with him.  I refereed him to my in-laws where he went on to do a great job for them.  I have full confidence in him.

Excellent job! DB Genesis is much more than a flooring expert. They are known in our neighborhood for refinishing floors quickly, and clean without all the dust you usually get. When we had them come to look at the floors, they told us that they also do all work in the upgrading of a home. We were preparing this house for sale and the upgrade was fantastic. A difference between day and night. They were thorough, and fast. Total time from start to finish was about 3 weeks on and off. Dony, the owner was able to have the right experts do the right jobs - flooring, painting and then their cleaning person who cleaned the windows - inside and out. I will continue to use them for upgrades in our new home.

They were fantastic from start to finish. Communicating with Dony (the owner) was easy. He came and gave me an estimate, and answered all of my questions. He was accessible throughout the job. They did an amazing job. It looks like a new house. And the price was fantastic to boot. Incredibly professional company. I can't say enough positive things about this company. A++++++

I am absolutely satisfied with the job done. Dony was always on time. He was considerate of taking care of the existing furniture. My husband and I appreciate the use of eco-friendly products. Prices were reasonable. I will definitely will be hiring Dony for my future project (wood floor installation in our living room).
