Prompt and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone in need of repairs. No pressure to buy an entire unit when all you need is someone to fix a non-working a.c unit in the middle of a heat wave. They were no nonsense and quick to act.

The installers were fast and courteous. There was one thing about the install we didn't like (where an exhause pipe ran) but they came back and changed it at no extra cost, which I very much appreciate.

We got a 90 percent efficiency new heater and furnace to replace our 30yo furnace and 36yo heater. It was amazing that our old units were still working, but they were. Installation: Apparently the higher-efficiency models need to extra ventilation. The installers came - I was working. When they left I realized they had built the ugliest Seussian contraption ever (and I like Seuss) - a weird mish-mosh of PVC pipe that they ran out of the window well, up to the patio, (which is viewable through a picture window from living room) - at the top there was a 90 degree turrn toward the patio. It looked the patio was being invaded by tinker-toys. we were not happy. To their credit, they came back and quickly resolved the issue by running the pipe across the length of the basement and outside a different window well. Lesson learned: ask them EXACTLY what the installation will look like inside and out BEFORE they start work - do not assume anything. Apparently they told my husband there would be a small pipe - not the contraption we saw. At any rate, it is has been removed. The important thing is, we were hoping to see a huge reduction in our bills. Functionality: (a review of the equipment (Lennox) not Davis & Davis The new units are quieter and are a lot more efficient BUT we have not seen much in the way of savings - possibly because we're home all day during the pandemic. We use a NEST to control temperature, but have not been as good about setting it to low use of heat overnight (an Alexa routine was setting it to a higher temp overnight, to reduce spending on AC, but we did not realize that routine was still in place until a week ago, so we have been overheating at night). So we're going to say the jury is still out on savings. Here's the data. HEATING Therms per a day usage according to WashGas same for Nov 2020 Nov: 2.06, avg temp 60.57 2019 Nov 2.08 a year ago, 60.27 higher for Oct 2020 Oct: .9, avg temp 67.56 2019 Oct: .51, avg temp 76.46 higher for Sept 2020 Sept .5, avg temp 79.83 2019 Sept: .43, avg temp 70.61 Pepco bills vs one year earlier. Higher in Oct: $243 vs $206 a year ago Lower in Sept: $354 vs $243 a year ago. Lower in August: $393, vs $550 a year ago. installation completed Aug. 6 before new unit: Lower in July: $410 vs $497 a year ago. Conclusion: we like Davis & Davis - we wish there had been better communication about what the outside intallation would look like, we're glad they fixed it in a timely manner, and we're looking forward to seeing some savings from our investment.

During the end of July/early August 2019, our heat pump of 12+ years needed to be replaced. This occurred during one of the various heat waves that sweeps through the DMV region. We requested several quotes and moved forward with Davis & Davis. Davis & Davis did a great job. They were able to schedule the work within several days. The company completed their work in a professional manner and installed a new heat pump and associated air handler unit. I would strongly recommend Davis and Davis as a contractor. They are a solid business. We have peace of mind that there is a quality heat pump unit working to keep us warm this winter and cool during the hot/humid DMV summers.

My old AC gave out. I got 4 quotes. Davis & Davis had a good price, but most importantly, they had put thought into their proposal. My old AC was sized for the entire house, but when we had renovated, we put in a second unit upstairs. Our old AC was now oversized. D&D identified this and figured out the right size. Other quotes ranged from 2 to 3.5 tons - someone didn't pay attention at several other companies. It came down to trust, and I trusted Dennis. They did a great job on the installation and I am happy with my new system. My stepdaughter has been using them for years and loves them, too.

We have used D&D for more than 30 years have have been more than satisfied with their service. Ivan was our go to man for most of that time and we miss his smiling face and good conversation. He recently retired due to poor health and we wish him well. Would not change to another company since they stand behind their service.

Davis and Davis My air conditioner died on July 24 2018. I called Davis and Davis. They sent a guy out for a service for the same day. He found that the blower had died and had a large freon leak. The Davis and Davis guys came over on July 27, 2018 and they removed the old equipment. They had the new system installed and working by 1pm. It was clean and quickly done. I am very happy.

The 2 man crew was friendly, timely, and hard-working. The associate who gave me the estimate made sure that all installation issues we had discussed were addressed. We love the new HVAC system and felt we were given a good price.
