BIG TIME MOVERS INC

They arrived 1 hour late and it took them 3 1/2 hours to load an apartment, that was already fully packed and ready to go. They came without any tools and I had to go to the hardware store to purchase an allen wrench for them and I loaned them my packing tape. I was charged $350 for packing materials, which I thought was very high. The storage was free which was good and I negotiated a flat rate on the move in, because the moveout was soo expensive. They dinged my walls on the move-in and didn't offer to assemble the bed (I am a single woman). I tipped them, but I know I would not use them again.

I HAD HIRED BIG TIME MOVERS BECAUSE THEY WERE LOCAL, WOMAN-OWNED, AND CHEAP. HOWEVER, I WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT WHAT I WOULD GET ON MOVE DAY. IN THE END, I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE AND WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN. I ENJOYED THE THREE YOUNG MEN WHO HELPED ME, EVEN THOUGH THEY BLARED MUSIC THE WHOLE TIME. THE LEAD MAN WAS A SMART, PERSONABLE BUSINESS MAN WHO EVEN PUT MY BED TOGETHER IN MY NEW HOME, EVEN THOUGH I SAID IT WASN'T NECESSARY. THE SECOND MAN WAS HUGE AND STRONG AND HELPED US MOVE A COUCH FROM THE BASEMENT TO THE SECOND FLOOR OF OUR HOME FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST. THE THIRD MAN WAS FUNNY. I WOULD ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO HIRE THEM BECAUSE I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO HIRE LOCALLY-OWNED, WOMEN-RUN BUSINESSES.
