Excellent work was done and completed in only 9 days. This included additional problems found and fixed that were not part of the initial shower construction estimate. High praise for Andres and his crew. Well done.

Not well on vanity install and bathroom painting. They want to charge $150 for reinstalling a new sidesplash that was cut too short and insist on it. A 1/4 gap was filled with grout to compensate for the one that was cut short. The supplier, reordered the new sidesplash at no cost to us. It cost them $200 to order. Our vanity costs over $3000. They even asked if American Bath would do it for free and they insist on making us pay. The same issue applied to tacky paint work in certain parts of the bathroom. We have what appears to be a manufacturer's related chip in shower wall tile. They want to charge for any repair on that. Prior to all this, we literally had to argue on whether certified plumbers were being used for plumbing work. That was never really clarified until the day a plumber arrived that seemed to be certified. There is another bathroom we will have renovated. American Bath will not get the job.
Response from American Bath Remodel, LLC
"Hi [Member Name Removed], thanks again for the opportunity to renovate your bathroom. Both areas outlined above were supplier / material issues or defects, which is no question unfortunate. With that, we of course would have happily fixed either for a very small fee, $200 was just our cost, to repair the items you purchased that had a defect. If was anything that we did or purchased, our full warranty would have covered it. Thanks again, and best of luck with you next bathroom remodel."

Beautiful and detailed work! Luke and Juliya were professional and responsive to our many questions. Ronald and his crew were friendly, conscientious, detail-oriented, and dedicated to doing masterful work on a wide variety of tasks. The need for a few unanticipated services popped up as the renovations proceeded, and we were able to work out the details and, ultimately, the cost. Half of our house now feels new, and we are very pleased with the results.

My wife and I could not have been more impressed with the professionalism, proficiency and patience of the two American Bath workmen, Adalid and Victor. They both spoke fluent English and were true perfectionists. The new bathroom more than met our expectations. In addition, our contact with American Bath in the planning stages could not have been more gratifying.

We have passed this feedback, as we always do, to our amazing team. They all mentioned you both were more than accommodating throughout the process, so thank you to you and your wife."

Overall happy with the end result but I felt that communication between American Bath and the person contracted to do the job could have been smoother. I would have liked there to be a commitment to a specific start and end time, each day the bathroom was being worked on. Hours were based on whatever times suited his needs, which wasn't a huge problem given my flexibility, but had it not been for that, it would have been difficult. Attention to detail wasn't the greatest, although I was able to address most of those concerns when the company reached back out and offered to have him come back to fix a couple of minor issues. My suggestion would be that there should be someone in the office that double-checks/reviews the work after completion. As the customer, I rely on the expert advice/ recommendation of the person contracted to do the work, but it felt like the responsibility of the project fell on me to make sure I was asking the right questions in order to prompt an answer. Having someone review the work after completion would have made me feel much better, and if that were the scenario the next time around, I would happily hire them again.

The company was excellent at communications -- estimating, finance, project management -- and very responsive. The end result was good quality and a reasonable price. The project started off a bit bumpy as they had some new workers who mistakenly removed a bathroom floor that we were not going to replace and the tile work was a bit uneven and slow in the first shower. The company promptly said that they would replace the floor at no cost and helped locate similar tile; then sent a new tile worker to redo the uneven work. He was excellent. Given that this is the time of Covid, there were supply delays with our tile and we only got a partial shipment of tile for our second shower. They readily adjusted their timeline to accommodate the delay and made several trips to the tile store on our behlaf. The crew was good about cleaning up after their work each day and at the end of the project. Overall, they were easy to work with; reasonably priced; good quality and worked well through the missteps.

The timeline was quick (1 week) compared to other companies. The price was very reasonable compared to other companies. They work with you to do payment plans. Customer service and workers were professional, responsive, hardworking, and on time. Results were outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to do similar work/renovations.

The overall bathroom process was generally good. American Bath LLC subcontracts out their projects, so there is no guarantee on who you get. They mentioned that there is a set of folks they generally work with though. The group we got was friendly and responsive to calls. What I was most happy with was the bathroom remodel was that it was on budget and took just shy of 2 weeks to complete, which was on schedule with the contract. The entire quoting process with Gary was a pleasure and very easy to understand. The process with Juliya was also very straightforward. She is very responsive and clear in explaining the process. Regarding the project ... I'll start with the negatives: The bad part was there were several cases where I inspected the work, and had concerns that had to be pointed out and fixed. The main two items that bothered me were more subtle items found after the final walkthrough. They installed the mirror incorrectly, and it was unstable and actually fell and cracked. The 2nd item was the vanity was designed to be fastened to the wall, but they did not do that part, which made it a safety issue. I found those two items after they left and had to call them back to fix it. The good part was they owned up to the errors and rectified them without any complaints. I can't say this is always true for other contractors we worked with, so this is a plus. Mistakes happen, and if they own up to it and fix it, that's a net plus in my book. My only caution is to do a thorough walkthrough. There are two things I think they could improve on. One is punctuality. I scheduled certain times with the foreman, and generally he was late, and one time, we scheduled to meet but he ended up calling 3-4 hours later saying he could not make it. That was a bit annoying as I took off work for that day to talk to them. The second item for improvement is cleanliness and being more careful. There are few minor scuffs on the bathtub after they finished. I believe simply being more diligent about covering those areas could fix this. Some positives: The foreman and workers are clearly very hardworking. They voluntarily worked on Saturdays to make sure they met schedule. Their dry walling skills are excellent and they fixed up any existing wall imperfections. They were open with questions and responsive to our calls and texts when we had issues. For example, with the problems stated above, they generally responded within a few hours to schedule a time to rectify the issue. When the arrived to fix the problems, they acknowledged it was a mistake and fixed it without complaints. I feel this is a good show of character, and not something all other contractors would do. Overall, we were satisfied with the work and happy with the end result. The work was not perfect and had its hiccups, but was significantly less expensive and completed on schedule on and on budget.

American Bath was very professional and good to deal with. Their estimator provided useful recommendations and the coordinator was helpful, accommodating and pleasant to deal with throughout the process. Most importantly, the crew we were assigned, Jose and his helper Juan, were competent and did a nice job. Jose always made an effort to install things just the way we wanted and is clearly skilled at his craft. All in all it went very well for a competitive price and the bathrooms look great.

We were pleased with the quality of work provided by American Bath. The workers were respectful, hard working, and the craftsmanship of the foreman was excellent. We live in an older home, the bathrooms were in poor shape and had to be completely gutted. During the remodel, some unforeseen issues arose including discovery of leaking galvanized steel pipes...so the project took slightly longer than had been expected, but this was not the fault of American Bath. The foreman and his assistant worked very long days (which we were happy about) in order to move the project along despite these unexpected issues. As a result, we have two beautiful bathrooms (including excellent tile work and smoothly functioning plumbing!) and we've been very happy with them!

It has taken me over two months to find the will power and energy to write this. I hired American Bath to renovate my bathroom for 2 weeks and it turned into a 6 week ordeal of epic proportions. They sat me down to sign the contract in October, for them to do work in March. Looking back on that, I should not have signed. 5 days before they were scheduled to begin, I contacted them to clarify material details and they told me that they actually couldn't work until the following week. If I hadn't called them first, who knows if anyone would have told me at all until the day of? The worker they sent out to manage the job was a mess. The first day of demo he left our bathtub in four pieces on the grass in front of our condo. My neighbors asked me about it. I called him about it, he said he would come pick it up, but he never did. I should have seen the warning signs then. This guy showed up for an hour or two in the morning, left instructions for his helpers and then disappeared for hours at a time. There was always something else he needed to "get from home depot". Home depot is 10 minutes away, not to mention if he was a professional he would pick things up before coming here. On average, he worked 3-4 hours each day. The third day he didn't work at all. He would vanish for ages, or sometimes he would leave to get something and never come back at all. We raised our concerns about the installer’s attendance to the owner of American Bath, Tom. He assured us that their installer would not need to leave the job site during the day. That never happened. The second time I brought up the subject and described the hours that his installer worked the previous day, he said he couldn’t speak to what the exact schedule of his installer (essentially he didn’t believe me). His excuse, if what I said was to be believed, was that it isn’t possible for two people to work on a bathroom at the same time. American Bath’s installer started to put tile in on the fourth day. Considering he had only worked two days on site, I was surprised when he claimed he would be doing all the installations and be done and out of there by the following Wednesday! He started throwing tile on the wall and I was appalled. The tub was not even remotely flush with the wall. He assured me that once he put the tile up, it would cover it all up and I wouldn't even be able to tell. He put the tiles up by eyeballing everything. He cut tile inside the bathroom. There was tile dust everywhere. He eyeballed the niche and to this day I still have no confidence he built any kind of support for the bottom of the niche. My gut tells me he just nailed it into the studs that were already there. I don't dare lean on it. There is just so much that ensued for the six weeks that I can't even go through it all. I put my foot down and insisted that the bathtub to be properly aligned before he started slapping up tile. I started looping in the owner/office with progress. Tom would oscillate between telling his employee to fix obvious issues, to battling me about industry standards, particularly my standards of correct measurements and straight lines. We battled tooth and nail for actual water proofing to be installed in our bathroom. The installer was not going to seal any of the corners/seams and was already putting tile up along those corners when we asked him to stop and seal/waterproof first. He was resistant and when questioned by the owner, blatantly lied to Tom about planning to seal the corners with thinset when there wasn't any thinset to be seen and tile had already been placed. Eventually we got some progress with waterproofing, but with some clear holes. Some battles we fought, some we let go because it was just exhausting to work with American Bath. At one point I had to ask multiple times for the installers to stop dumping all their tools into the brand new bathtub. I told them would be fine to leave their drop cloth in the hall and put their tools on that. They carried on leaving tools in the bathtub anyway. The bathtub is now permanently damaged, scratch marks remain even after American Bath claimed to have cleaned off the scratches they caused. We ended up using 14 cases of wall tile versus the estimated 10 cases which included 10% buffer. We had to buy a new box of bullnose because the installer initially threw a terribly designed niche together because it was easier and did not need diagonal cuts. We also lost accent tiles because the installer had absolutely no attention to detail and didn't see that the accents were supposed to connect. I had to ask him to take them down and correct it asap before they set and none could be removed. As for the tile cutting, I had to ask him to stop cutting indoors! He said he could only cut on my balcony as an alternative. He freewheeled these cuts on his knee, creating horrible, crooked cuts. It seemed American Bath did not provide proper tile cutting tools. I gave him a piece of plywood to cut on, imploring him to please measure and cut straight. Perhaps the combination of asking him not to cut tile indoors and asking for him to cut straight was too much; he regularly left my balcony door open while cutting tile, resulting in a layer of tile dust over my entire living room and kitchen. After two weeks cutting every corner, forcing us to scramble to try to learn how to renovate a bathroom just to protect ourselves from this rampant corner cutting, American Bath’s installer was becoming increasingly belligerent. On one occasion, when we pointed out a particular corner he was trying to cut, he answered with, "What do you know about bathrooms?!" Maybe not as much as a professional (which is why I wanted to hire one!), but enough to know when someone is trying to cut corners at my expense. The third week was chaos. We had to take additional telework days just to try and get things finished. When he installed the bath fixtures, it was ridiculous. The faucet was 11 inches above the lip of the tub and off-center from the tub (picture included). I showed this picture to local plumbers and neighbors, they laughed at how unprofessional this installation was. Tom tried to talk me down by saying it was installed within the manufacturer’s specifications. There is not a single bathtub install picture I have seen that looked like this. It was another battle to get them to fix this. They wanted to dig a hole in my bedroom to get to the pipes (not an access panel, I already have one of those, but an actual hole). I declined that option, as it made no sense because he would have to break tile to move the fixtures anyway. I just could not fathom what they were trying to get me to agree to. And so the job dragged on and on. The worker pushed back on everything we pointed out and I wanted so much to just say, "If you'd stop cutting corners and slacking off, we'd be out of each other's faces by now." He was clearly becoming hostile; he would agree to do as we asked, to our face, but then do it in such an obviously destructive way that left more damage to repair than the initial fix was worth. For example, we asked him to fix the alignment on the vanity and he ripped up the drywall next to the vanity in the process. He installed a new fan in the ceiling (per the contract) and tore up the existing drywall far more than necessary. He installed the threshold far too high (he promised me it would be flush with the floor but instead he adhered it on top of my hardwood floor). As a result, the door wouldn’t shut properly. His solution was to cut off the bottom of the door. He installed the toilet paper holder with incorrect screws (we gave him the entire kit still sealed in the box, we have no idea where the screws that were included went). This left exposed sharp screw ends jutting out inside the vanity. To avoid having American Bath cause further damage, I signed paperwork that would get their installer to leave my home. I emailed the company office immediately afterwards and said I signed off to get him out of my house and I did not want him back again. I did not feel comfortable being at home with this guy without my husband around and we were both runni
Response from American Bath Remodel, LLC
"We are sorry that you are unsatisfied with the way this job was performed. We're confident in the finished product, which is why we offered you an extended warranty at no additional cost to you. We understand that your interactions with our installer were frustrating and unpleasant. In response to your specific complaints: - We dismissed the installer and our owners took over management of the project, including personally handling the punch list at the end of the job. - Our owners inspected the bathtub installation and determined it to be structurally sound. - The photos that you've posted reflect a job in progress, not the finished product. We corrected the issues pointed out in these photos. - The new tub's modern material is very different from the original. New materials are less costly and also lighter weight, more flexible than metal. This could explain why the new tub feels different to you. In fact, we did offer an extended warranty - far above and beyond our usual -- for the work. You effectively waived the warranty by refusing to pay the final balance due, which is more than one-third of the total contracted amount."

Initially the work was great. We had a plastic showerpan removed and a new pebble tile floor installed. This required removing older shower doors, which were replaced with frameless ones (done by another company), removing the lower row of wall tiles, installing the floor and then reinstalling a new row of wall tiles. The project was done in a timely manner, the work looked great, worker were very nice and friendly and they were very clean with their work. I was very satisfied. Fast forward to a year later, I notice there's a water spot in the ceiling below my shower, so I went to investigate. Seems the grout they put in had cracked away in many spaces. After doing some research I found out that sanded grout is to be used in wide gaps between tile, while nonsanded grout should be used for small spaces. After further inspection, they had used sanded grout on the wall tiles they installed. I can tell it was their work because the remainder of the wall (which was never touched) has nonsanded grout. I contacted them and asked them if they would fix it since the grout shouldn't be cracking at close to a year. They basically wanted to charge me a lot of money to come and fix it and said they wouldn't backup their work and take responsibility. Luckily, I'm handy enough that I was able to re-grout it myself but I'm disappointed in them that they wouldn't back up their work. Until that point I would've hired them again but I cannot trust them anymore after that experience.

I hired American Bath to renovate my half bath, after having used them last year for my master bath. Pablo and Sebastian did a great job, which involved tearing out plaster walls and a concrete floor. The job took almost 2 weeks, with some partial work days. They were very respectful of my home, spent time and attention on details and cleaned up very nicely at the end of each day. In addition to installing drywall, tile floor, toilet, sink, light, and wood trim, everything was painted beautifully. I was very pleased with my remodel and recommend American Bath for a good quality, reasonably priced, bathroom renovation.

Hire these guys. Seriously. We got quotes from 5 different places for our job and American Bath provided a better price than most, with the significant bonus that their price included the purchase of most of the equipment we'd need. They don't have a showroom so they don't have to include that overhead in their pricing, and you are free to purchase from wherever you see fit. They're extremely responsive and helpful in making sure you are fully prepared for the installation. Their quote was logical and detailed so we understood exactly what services they would provide. When it came time to actually do the installation, we were amazed by how CLEAN our house stayed--we never had a problem with dust or footprints or anything that required any cleaning on our part. They were always on time and were *fast*, completing our entire job in 3.5 days. The quality of the work is really impressive--everything is sealed in silicone, they took extra time to pattern the tile and select the individual variations that would look best together, and even went out of their way to acquire special grout that would blend in perfectly. I can't say enough good things about everyone I worked with from American Bath--this was a low stress, affordable, even *pleasant* experience that has resulted in an incredibly beautiful bathroom that will last us for many years.
