I have been on this system for 3-4 years. The initial installation went ok, but the overall functionality and reliability of the system is poor. The basic alarm system works when you manually arm/ disarm it through the app or keypad. However, the alarm cannot be set up on an automated schedule, and NONE of the connected automation features work - lights, outlets, blinds, etc. I purchased the recommended products that the company promised would seamlessly integrate into the system during the sales pitch, but none of them work. They have sent technicians out a couple times but, even after installing bulky repeater boxes in about half a dozen outlets, the system cannot connect. I have submitted several tickets, but Vintage just closes them out and suggests that I self troubleshoot. Alternatively, I can pay for an Automation Maintenance package and they will send a technician out. Bottom line - their system is nothing more than a 1990's alarm with a keypad and phone app. They dont deliver on what they sell, and they try to charge extra for support that should be included.

Installation went smoothly and system worked well for the first few months. Control panel broke less than I year after installation. I was told that it was out of warranty and would be a $500 repair. This company does not stand behind their products.
Response from Vintage Security
"We are sorry that your system is having problems but our warranty, as documented, is 90 days parts and labor. If you would like to contact our service manager, we will try to see how we can help you with the cost."

Excellent. They keep me informed of all updates and things that I may need for my home and make suggestions when what I want may not be the best solutions or if there is a way to achieve what I want at a lower cost.

From the sales representative Josh, to the installation and function of our products, it was a flawless system. All of our questions were answered in full until we understood exactly how to operate our equipment. I would recommend Vintage to anyone looking for any home automation or security systems. We are looking forward to working with them in the future.

From our first meeting with Deena to the install of our alarm system we felt comfortable and confident. Deena explained all of our options and what would work best for what we were looking for in a security system for our home. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we asked. When she left we felt a huge weight lifted off our shoulders knowing what a peace of mind we were going to be bringing to our home and family. Our installer was also very knowledgeable and spent over an hour explaining our touch screen, setting up the app on our phones with us as well as reviewing the website with us should we need to reference an online site or how to contact Vintage. Our experience with Vintage has been nothing short of amazing and we have highly recommended them to our friends and family. Going to bed each night knowing that your family is safe and sound is one of the best feelings in the world.

1. I was not told about agreement terms and conditions by Amy Pushkin. She did not mention about agreement breakage clause, instead she told me that there is no breakage charges while signing contract with vintage during my visit to design studio. 2. After moving into new house, she gave me trouble by calling me continuously when me and my husband going through pregnancy. At last we had to tell her not to call during this period to give peace of mind for us. 3. She contacted us this Feb and left voice message that there are contract breakage charges she will send to us in case if I don't return her call. 4. While talking to her, I told her that other competitors are giving same services for half of the price and requested her to reduce the price (without removing services) so that I can work with Vintage. She told me that she will work something with her manager and get back to me. Instead, she and her manager sent an payment reminder with breakage charges without even giving prior notification. 5. I talked to her manager and requested the same, but her manager was also rude to me and told me to either activate services or pay breakage charges (no intention of pleasant friendly voice as mentioned review email) 6. I only figured that they needed money and not customer satisfaction 7. Many other owners in the community also told me that they were not told about 5 yr contract and they were forced to take Vintage security. 8. 5 yrs contract is too many years as technology and competition is growing day by day. Right now many other competitors are giving latest technology with nominal rates. I took xfinity security services before activating vintage security and they were very friendly. They offered same services for $20 per month whereas Vintage is charging $39 per month. They also gave devices for no cost as vintage claims it as offer they gave me. Xfinity did not even ask second question and did not charge me a single dollar once I conveyed my concerns with xfinity and requested to discontinue their services. In fact xfinity gave me money back for the days services were not used. 9. Apart from these issues I faced with vintage personnel, Amy Pushkin did not offer me 5.1 channel speaker pre-wiring option when I visited design studio. She only gave me option about installing speakers and not pre-wiring for speakers. I only got to know about this once I heard from my neighbors.
Response from Vintage Security
"I apologize for any inconvenience we have caused you and your family. We at Vintage strive to provide the best customer service. We go to great lengths to make sure people are aware of the terms of contract. There are multiple places on the initial paperwork where it is stated and that the customer is required to initial. We provided you with a no cost system in exchange for a monitoring agreement. I am sorry that our representative did not convey the cancel policy in advance and will be happy to work with you if this is what you would like to proceed with. We are extremely pleased with Vintage Security. We researched a number of security companies after we were (pretty literally) abandoned by our previous security company. Vintage Security is local, readily reachable - and responsive - in an emergency, and their personnel are all knowledgeable and professional. We never felt pressured or "oversold"; rather the representatives/technicians carefully assessed our situation and custom fit a solution to our requirements - even incorporating, where possible, equipment left from our previous provider.

Be careful when you buy a new home. It is exciting and you forget to read the fine print. That is watch Vintage banks on. I signed up with them to protect my new home. They did not verbally tell me it was a five year contract. When I went to cancel because I thought it in necessary in my neighbor- they wanted to charge me for the rest of the contract...over $1000. Shame on Vintage. The product is ok but they are deceptive.

Tuesday, April 3, 2018, my front porch camera went out. I call to have someone come out and service the camera. When I called Tuesday regarding the camera outage, they stated that the camera could not be serviced until Saturday, April 7, 2018. Not having the ability to monitor my property for 5 days is a problem. I called back and spoke with a "Brandy, a supervisor," or was told that she was a supervisor. After having a conversation with Brandy, she stated that a technician would come Thursday between the hours of 3-5. I confirmed 4/5/18, that a technician would be out between 3-5. At approximately 5:30 pm, I called to find out the status of the technician. An after-hours representative stated that the office was closed and he would have someone call me. After waiting, I called back. The after-hours representative had Wes Saylor call. Mr. Saylor indicated that I DID NOT have an appointment for 4/5/`18 as told. THE REPRESENTATIVE LIED ABOUT THE APPOINTMENT. Based on the information that Mr. Saylor provided, Brandy "lied" about having someone come service my camera on 3/5/18.
Response from Vintage Security
"We apologize for the miscommunication over your scheduled appointment. As our service manager's email to you last night at 11PM stated, when you showed your concern with the camera being down for 5 days we offered to possibly move your appointment up if a customer cancelled or a technician was able to get ahead in his day. We obviously could not commit to that happening but guaranteed we would be out on Saturday as scheduled if we were unable to move your appointment up. We would never be able to commit to a 2 hour window based on possible cancellations or a technician getting ahead. We endeavor to service all of our customers in a timely fashion and would never commit to an appointment we could not make. Again we apologize for the confusion and we always strive to meet the high customer service standards our customers have come to expect from Vintage Security."

New home build. The team assigned to my home was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated. They took the time to thoroughly demonstrate every piece of equipment installed. Following the initial installation, there were problems with the system twice. Their response was immediate each time and when they could not figure out the problem the second time, their supervisor came out and the tech office assisted. They stayed for over 5 hours until the problem was solved. All this was done on Valentine's Day. I have not had a problem since. We are very pleased.

Excellent! Activated the security system very soon after I called, and the technician was very thorough and pleasant. The security system has worked flawlessly, though thankfully we haven't had to use it for its alarm-monitoring capability. When a problem emerged with the phone lines, they responded very quickly and the responding Vintage employee proved to be knowledgeable, helpful, thorough, and really nice. I'm usually hard to please, but these guys have really earned my praise.

They are doing very well. Good review so far. They are sort of new in the last 6 months. So far so good. You pay monthly, and they monitor you for police and fire. Price is pretty much the same as everyone else. It has been 6 months and they have not had to respond. We have not had any problems. I would use them again.

Very unhappy. When I use the camera to check on my dog the system keeps timing out and I have to keep refreshing every minute. When I ask them why, there response was "you are not supposed to just sit there and watch it". Dahhh. That is what a camera is for. I want to check on my dog to see how she is. According to them I can only take a quick glance at her. It's not designed to watch her for more than a few minutes. I should have done better research. My friend has a camera she brought on line and setup her self and she can watch her cat all day long with no timing out. The door combo had nothing but problems the first 3 months and I still do totally trust it. I was told my yearly bill was going to be $563.40 and was just charged $591.44. Would never recommend the cameras and door lock. General window and door security--was OK.
Response from Vintage Security
"I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the cameras you were sold. Unfortunately, these cameras were not designed for 24/7 constant viewing. We will remove the cameras and refund the money you paid if you would like to return them. Please contact me directly and I would be happy to work with you to get this done. Excellent. Phil, the sales rep came out within 2 days of my call worked with me to define and refine my requirements-never over selling-and chad was out the next week, today to install & chad was efficient, professional, thorough especially in walking me thorough system operations and making sure I had the information and access I required. And he told me-repeatedly, that I could call on him if I were had questions-and ask for maintenance assistance. I feel cared for and am very pleased.
