Gary and his crew did an excellent job on the patio. If it was just their work I would rate it five stars. However, the dishonesty was a major downer. They promised one resealing of the patio after two or three years. Gary never followed through and said they were too busy after over a year of trying to schedule the reseal. I had to pay another company to do it, which cost over a thousand dollars I wasn’t expecting to pay.

I met with the owner - nice man and professional. I talked with him about two jobs and decided to try his work at my office for the less expensive job of fixing cracks in my front walkway. The job was done when he said it would be done, but I didn't realize how cheap looking the results would be or the nature of the product. He used concrete "caulk," and the job looked like some high school kids did it. The costs of the materials had to be $20 or less, and the unskilled workers who performed the "repair" took about one hour. The cost seemed pretty expensive after seeing what was actually involved and the appearance of the final product. I could have done the same job myself in an hour or less and saved couple hundred dollars plus. I paid the company and sent a letter explaining my feelings, but I never heard back. I guess they don't care about the quality of their work or their reputation.

All went well. The team worked hard and fast and managed to beat the rain. They covered the
concrete with plastic to protect the work. Job was done on time and to my satisfaction. The
company owner is also very informative and pleasant to work with. He makes sure my questions
are answered and needs are met. A great and quot;localand quot; resource for any residential concrete work.

Since I needed access to my house while all the concrete was being laid Jefferson Concrete made every effort to do the job so I could still enter the house through our garage. I now am happy to say that the widened driveway allows for easier access to my husband's car from my wheelchair, the ramp is great to get outside in my motorized wheelchair and as soon as it gets warmer I will enjoy being able to go onto my patio and screen porch.

Gary is just awesome. They did a great job. It was spring and I had bought a whole bunch of flowers for the front, and he sent his guys back to plant those flowers for me. He did not even charge me for it. My experience with them was awesome. They were excellent. What stood out for me is their professionalism, but he was more than that. He was so honest, kind, and down-to-earth. He was genuine.

His name is Gary Freeman. He did beautiful work. He was knowledgeable, friendly, dependable and very reasonable. He did above and beyond what was asked. I was very impressed. I would absolutely use them again.

Gary Freeman of Jefferson Concrete was recommended and gave me a competitive bid on replacing my concrete carport pad. I wanted one that was not bright white, but had some color. Gary suggested a wheat color, saying he had used it many times and the effect was excellent and would go with my new beige siding. The installation went fairly smoothly, and Gary said to give the pad time to cure. I called him after a few months to fix a problem--there was a space between the bottom of one of the posts supporting the carport roof and the carport pad. I also told him tha there were already several long hairline cracks in the driveway, and the color was drying unevenly--multiple large chalky white circles had appeared and were continuing to appear. Gary came out in the spring of 2009 and said that the cracks were normal and he didn't know what the white circles were but I should give the pad longer to dry. I waited several more months and the situation got worse; in fact, the entire side of the pad--approximately two feet wide and the length of the carport that is visible even when a car is parked on the pad--was extremely uneven and mottled in appearance. Every time it rained, it got worse; water seemed to bring out the discolorations. I called Gary several times and he never returned my calls. I finally reached him in August, and he told me that he had had a similar problem with another customer's carport pad (also in the wheat color), and had fixed it by applying a tinted sealant. That sounded like a good option, though he acknowleged that the sealant would not fill the cracks, only fix the aesthetic problem. He said he would call me in September to let me know when he could apply the sealant. He never called, and I started calling him in October; he never returned my calls. I was getting concerned, because the work was under warranty for a year and I wanted the work completed before November. I left repeated messages to no avail. Since he seemed to want to solve the problem, and had good references, I began to be concerned that something had happened to him. Not so; when I called in December and he actually answered the phone, he hung up as soon as I said my name! I was so incredulous that I called back and left a message asking him to call to discuss the situation. He never did. I regret that I didn't take more decisive action before the warranty period ended. The carport pad looks terrible, which is unfortunate since it was the final step to updating my house after many years (new siding, new walkway and front step, new landscaping). I feel as though I wasted $4,000.00.

Gary came by 2 days after my call to give me an estimate. He listened to what we wanted to do, made suggestions and gave us a fair price. His crew started work one month later and were both good workers as well as courteous and conscientious to my family. Within 3 days the work was completed as originally instructed. I would most definitely consider using Gary and his crew again. In fact he has already given me an estimate on on another job.

Gary dropped his crew off on Thursday, 7/2 and they promptly demolished the old walkway and stoop. Gary dropped by twice to check in with me about what would happen next, once early in the day, and again at the end of the day. The crew had prepared the form for the stoop and the walkway by the end of the day so they could begin by pouring the concrete as soon as they arrived the next day. They cleaned up all of the debris from the demolition and the building of the forms. On Friday the crew appeared and began pouring concrete. They were meticulous. They covered the project before they left when it began to sprinkle a bit. They returned later in the day to remove the plastic. We love our simple new front porch, and will love it more when the new railing is installed next week.

Gary was punctual and responsive, went out of his way to ensure a quality product, and did not increase his estimated price when scope was larger and more difficult than he originally thought. Made sure that the finished product fit in with the natural surroundings of our property.

Gary Freeman returned my calls quickly, provided detailed descriptions and examples of his work, rapidly provided estimates, and showed up quickly to perform the work. His crew was reliable and performed the work well. The end result is stunning.
