Randy Ellis, owner of Ellis Painting in Jefferson, came to my home and spent 1.5 hours surveying the house and listening to what I wanted. He offered several suggestion as to how to go about the job. He then offered a bid price on the job, but as I was familiar with the quality of his work from several jobs he has done inside and outside my home, we agreed for him to work "by the hour".
Randy sprayed the cedar siding of my house, garage and screened porch with a bleach solution to clean it in preparation for re-staining. He then removed ALL the caulk on every joint on the entire outside of my house and re-caulked with QUAD caulk, a high-grade caulk. Then re-staining began and everything was hand brushed with stain.
At the end of every day Randy let me know when he would arrive the next day and he was always on time. He worked all day with minimal breaks and was very tidy. His workmanship was very professional and he came in under time and under budget.
I certainly recommend Ellis Painting for any painting job inside or outside their home. When my home's siding needs cleaning and/or re-staining again. Randy will be my first phone call.

Although the experience with the previous painters was awful. They kept getting the paint colors wrong. They'd spray rooms with paint hitting ceilings & carpets. We were not living in the house at the time & assumed our general contractor was on top of everything.They were to paint every room & ceiling in the house. When we found the condition of the home we demanded a new painter to repair & finish the job. Randy came in & told us how long all the repairs would take & how long to finish painting the house. he was very honest & accurate.
He was in my home 3 weeks. He did a great job finishing up the project & repairing everything the other painter damaged or did not repair.
