I had a tight window to create a bathroom for one of my rooms to be occupied by my guest. Mirivan Contracting and Estate preservation LLC exceeded my expectations. All other contractors I contacted told me categorically that it could not be completed at such a short window. Mirivan Contracting did not only complete the job, but they did also so superbly. The finish was perfect. The attention to details was spot. My bathroom looks stunning and beautiful. I will not hesitate to request their services for all my remodeling jobs.

The contractor/owner comes across as knowing what he is doing, however, he does not supervise his staff, which did not know what they were doing. I contracted to have a 12' x 34' deck built in the back yard. Most of the deck was ground level, but footings were required by my permit office. The deck was not measured properly before the footing were placed - which was off about 2-3 inches. Framing went well and the inspector made them place a cross brace at 6' for the 12' width. Then the nightmare began. The deck boards were not staggered, nor were they aligned before they were nailed. They used a hammer and nails when first starting and switch to a nail gun later. They did not remove the paper tags from the end of most of the boards, they used warped and cracked boards, they nailed them "curve" up - which is a tripping hazard, they used boards with large know holes, and they nailing of boards was sloppy and random - I had boards that has one nail on the end where is butt up against another board. I have some boards that are nailed to "air" and not the frame. The deck railing passed inspection, but one of the boards is warped at the end and creates a curved banister. Over all it's three big platforms with rails. The frame is sturdy, so I does not rock or shift, but with the sloppy nailing and terrible boards, its only somewhat functional. I will have to look into trying to salvage what was done. Right now I am going to use rugs to cover the boards until I can get the issues resolved. Also, I had to have them come back to cleanup the dibrise from the yards after they were done - including stray nails between the boards on the deck. I've attche photos that show only a few of the major issues. There are so many more. Would I recommend this company? - only if you want a good price and don't mind sloppy work. I can say that the owner is very nice and will hand in there until the job is complete. He just has inexperienced workers and provides no supervision.
