We had a very small section of hardwood floor that needed to be refinished. Most companies don't want to deal with something that's just 20 square feet, and we didn't want to do it ourselves. Joe Fugere comes very highly rated by dozens of folks on a local listserv for this wood-related work, and now we know why!
Not only did he not balk at the small area, but he refinished the floors beautifully. What was once covered with old tar and glue residue is now a beautiful light brown. Joe's price was incredibly reasonable, especially for a couple days worth of work, and i think he enjoyed our dogs more than we do. Plus, he is incredibly personable; my life partner and i really enjoyed working with him.

We had a fabulous experience with Joe and his crew. Joe met with us twice before starting work on the project to go over scheduling, pricing, and scope of work. He and his crew showed up on time the first morning and went over last-minute details before launchind into the work. They did all the repair work, sanding,and initial finishing on the first day and there was not a speck of dust in the house after they were done! The next two days saw application of polyurethane first thing in the morning such that we could go back in the house each day by the later afternoon. On the last day, Joe and his crew installed the shoe around the perimeter of the floor--all the pieces/joints fit snugly. Our floor is gorgeous, and we've gotten a ton of complements on it.
Working with Joe is a joy--his price was wonderful, the workmanship superior, and the attention to cleanliness and detail was top-notch. We've recommened him to others already, and look forward to seeing him around the neighborhood! Thanks, Joe!

I had a very large pile of branches sitting in my yard (from a tree that we had cut down), and wanted to have them removed, along with a spindly tree that was growing on the foundation of the house. I was referred to Joe Fugere through a neighborhood listserv and emailed him. He responded very quickly, went to look at my pile, and said the cost would be between $75 and $100. We agreed that he would be at my house at 10:30 the next Saturday morning. He was there promptly, and disposed of the whole giant pile (which included moving it out of the yard and to the wood chipper: I helped with this, to use less of his time) in well under an hour. And he's an extremely nice guy to boot. I'll be using him for all of my future tree work!

Joe Fugere's work was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly responsive, and he and his crew were 100% professional. The quality was excellent, he stuck to the predicted time and budget, and we couldn't be happier.

They are absolutely excellent! They are punctual and reliable. We are always pleased! When I got home, you couldn't even tell anyone had been there! The tree service was a huge job, and there wasn't saw dust or debre anywhere!
