We bought our house about 11 years ago and had to get them out to snake drains and repair the A/C within the first year. They showed up on time and didn't try to upsell services or parts that weren't needed. I do Facilities Management for a living and have used them for many of my own property clients. They've done everything from tracing down a large leak with a commercial customer to smaller jobs snaking drains, fixing toilets and sinks and helping me keep my own HVAC running in my home. Charlie has been doing this a long time and knows his stuff. Every single time I talk to him I learn something new, which in my line of work is invaluable. He's not the cheapest but he's not the most expensive either. At the end of the day, he's the best. They're a small, locally owned family business and they take pride in their work. I have and will continue to use CL Hibbard for all of my plumbing, heating and A/C work. They're fantastic!

Don't ever call CL Hibbard. He is totally untrustworthy. He removed an old radiator in a bathroom and was paid for that part of the job. But he never came back to install the new one despite assuring me in repeated telephone conversations, over a course of six months, that he had ordered the new radiator and would install it. I finally gave up and got another plumber, Jiffy, who responded immediately and within a week we had the radiator. We have had a number of homes and have dealt with many contractors, and this is the worst experience we have ever had.

Hibbard was able to fit me in very quickly and came on time prepared to do the job.  The job took only one hour, and cost a little less than the actual quote Hibbard gave me on the phone and another quote from a different provider.  Very satisfied.

The price was reasonable. Everything went well. He actually took the time to explain what he was doing and how the system was working. He was prompt courteous as well.

Fantastic experience. We had trouble finding plumbers willing (and able) to handle maitenance on tankless hot water heaters, and CL Hibbard has a solid reputation for understanding newer plumbing technologies and a willingness to take on such jobs. Ours was probably not a complex repair, but we really liked their problem solving approach to working on an unfamiliar device, a willingness to defer to the manual, and their ability to quickly resolve the issue. Price was not a bargain, but from our experience you don't want "bargain" plummers, and they're in line with area prices and perfectly reasonable for the work performed. They were puntual, neat, polite, and they got the job done in reasonable time. I liked them so much I plan to hire them for future plumbing/boiler work.

Due to concerns about future reliability due to age of existing equipment (30+ years) and desire to improve efficiency, we decided to replace our old boiler. We sought quotes from four contractors and obtained three responsive proposals. We worked with this contractor previously to service our previous system and to adapt it to a power vent. They were able to address a number of key deficiencies in set up that several other contractors had missed, so we already had a favorable experience with them. The price, while not the lowest was the best overall value due to inclusion of replacement of hot water heater with hot water storage tank included in the proposal and the replacement of a zone valve with separate pumps for each zone. This contractor is very busy. Getting an estimate and then getting on the schedule was delayed several times, so timeliness is not a strong point. However, once a date was set the work began as promised was diligently pursued to timely completion. The job took two days, but it was set up so that we were not left without heat overnight since it was mid-winter. There were a few adjustments required after initial installation and the contractor was very diligent about returning to address these adjustments without additional cost. The contractor really knows the equipment he is installing and has a depth of understanding about how heating systems work that enables him to troubleshoot and solve problems. He is happy to take the time to explain what he is proposing to do and how the systems work. After 3 months the system is working very well with no difficulties. Comfort is improved and gas consumption has decreased dramatically over previous system for same period last year.

They are a small company, but if you have any trouble with boilers, either small or commercial, Charlie is a recognizable authority in the area.

We have used these guys before and they are extremely professional and trustworthy. The only issue is that there are only two of them so if you get in the queue, make sure you know where you are. I would (and do) highly recommend them. They really know their stuff and will only do what is needed. In several instances, they have recommended extra work to be done and they have always been right about it all. So I appreciate the honestly I feel I get with them.

They were highly responsive. They were a small company and they knew their stuff. He was willing to put in the hours to tweak the system so it would function efficiently.

The original contractor that installed the boiler wouldn't come out and service it. The next plumbing company didn't have a clue how to fix it although they did come out many times and gave it a good try. I ended up calling the manufacturer and they recommended C.L. Hibbard. I called and he came right out and fixed it that day. They converted the ignition to electrical from a coil. Not really sure about the technical details. I just know they fixed it and the ignition has been very reliable since. Every couple of years small things have worn out on the boiler, such as the vent control and the pressure release valve. They have alway been very prompt. Additionally, sometime when I call them, they can tell me what to do over the phone to get the heat going - no charge. They do prioritize calls, no heat first. When they've had to delay a call to our house because of a higher priority call, they always call and explain the situation and get to us that day - no matter how late.

THEY ARE A VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THEY COME ON TIME. IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT WILL KEEP THEM, THEY CALL AND TELL ME. WHEN I CALL THEY USUALLY COME OUT RIGHT AWAY, BECAUSE I HAVE A GREENHOUSE. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
