Owner, Dave Myers, is the area's most experienced chimney diagnostician (since 1973). We have an A-Plus BBB rating & emphasize customer service excellence in every aspect of our business. What differentiates us from other companies is that we provide a thorough analysis and estimate for any necessary repairs, without any pressure or emphasis on sales. "Thanks so much for the A review. The $150.00 cap we installed is stainless steel, not aluminum, which could warp or melt in heavy use. The $150.00 covers the cap and the installation and includes a lifetime warranty on both. The price is a little less than our competitors at $179.00 to $219.00 The cement crown installation was also less than our competitors who usually charge $350.00 to $450.00. We usually charge a little more, but and as you mentioned, you saved us a return trip to do the work - so thank you for that!! Dave Myers, owner"

Many clients feel that a thorough estimate detailing flaws and repair procedures should not be considered an inspection and they do not want to pay for what they consider an estimate. There was also a minor issue with scheduling the visit, the guy double booked himself and he ended up being several hours late, but I won't ding them on it, it was an honest mistake and he apologized.

As for the cost, if you do get another estimate, I would like to go over it and ours with you. This would allow me to see how we compare and if we do indeed deserve a poor grade for price. Sometimes our prices are higher because of the approach and sometimes it is because we include additional options other companies often don't include, such as plaster repairs and drywall and painting where damage has occurred.
