Alfonso Menjivar

Another contractor who had remediated flood damage to a downstairs office and laid new carpeting was unable to satisfactorily paint a small section of wall that he had cut away and patched. He could not properly match the color and after three attempts, it appeared the entire large office had to be repainted. He had also unsatisfactorily repaired a water damaged section of living ceiling, leaving it rough and blistery. So we contacted Alfonso Menjivar, who had done considerable painting at our house when we moved into it, to complete this work and touch up a bathroom. Alfonso is exceptional. He came over the next day and started work immediately. He's a perfectionist who is extremely proud of doing a perfect job at a reasonable price. He explains everything he intends to do before he proceeds and always has a smile on his face. He is also very concerned about protecting areas in the vicinity of the paint job. The key to Alfonso's success, he indicates, is proper preparation of areas to be painted and use of high quality materials. Before he painted, he applied plaster, as necessary, to smooth out the areas to be painted, sanded, caulked creases, and filled in cracks. He worked on all three areas in a rotating fashion to save time and completed the job in less than two days. It looks great. We look forward to Alfonso doing some outside painting in the spring.
