Heagy remodeling did a fantastic job, with great attention to detail. My wife and I are very pleased with the entire makeover of our kitchen. It went from outdated and unattractive to modern and beautiful. Mr. Heagy stopped by at least twice during the work to help with any installation questions. Chuck was the highly skilled carpenter who did most of our work. We found little add ons as we went along, including some shelves, a new border for the bathroom mirror, new stainless seal oven fan, etc. Chuck did not mind adding these requests as we went along and he did a fantastic job throughout the project.
We were very pleased with Heagy remodeling and plan to have them back to rennovate an upstairs bathroom.
The estimator took measurements. He came downstairs to give me a verbal estimate of $45,000. That price included 2 doors. He specified that's the price w/o insulation. He went on to tell me before doing the work, I should get vents installed, and a few other things. He didn't ask what type of heating if any that I was going to use. I had already decided, if I were to turn my full attic into livable space, I was going to use non traditional heating method.
Needless to say, I was surprised by the $45k estimate. I was told I would receive an actual estimate, which I never received.
"āWeāre sorry for any miscommunication that occurred here, largely revolving around two items, the price quoted and the sequence of work. Our records show that we quoted approximately $35,000 for the attic conversion project, which included framing new walls, drywall installation, interior doors, trim work and electrical service required by code. The client indicated that would be beyond her budget. As to the sequence, the client wanted to finish the attic and then insulate while we strongly suggested doing this in the opposite order, and especially addressing any trades such as electrical work before the insulation was completed. Building codes would require appropriate electrical service in order to convert the area to living space as desired. This was not in the clientās plans, and we would not be able to perform work that did not meet code. We parted on good terms, but we should have made it more clear that no written estimate would be forthcoming. Again, we regret the miscommunication.ā"

Wonderfully!!! Paul, who helped with the initial planning, was patient and offered many great suggestions and updates for our kitchen of 24 years. The owner of the company and Paul made the final measurements and ordered the doors and hardware. Chuck, the installer, was all about perfection and performed a beautifully crafted job. All of these professionals brought years of solid experience and expertise to our project At all times they were on time and did not leave until the job was completed to our satisfaction. It was one of the best service jobs we have ever had over a period of 50 years. Highly recommend.
