They did fine. They are very through. our vet papers from the breeders vet did not say what time of influenza shots they had. So they asked for us to check with their vet and see what they gave the puppies. We already have our next visit sch. for later on in July.

Overall, I was very satisfied with this veterinary clinic. Both of the DVMs that my feline companion and I saw were very knowledgeable and they listened to my concerns and have provided me with advice. I am very grateful to one of my neighbors who recommended this vet to me!

Over the holidays we had our dog at another hospital getting neutered.  We were told anybody could take the stitches out.  So two weeks after we went to have the stitches removed.  They were trying to sell you all kinds of things.  You get letters in the mail they want you to bring your dog in for influenza shots and who knows what else.  You can't just go for what you need and end of story.  It keeps on going with those people.  The staff was rude.  I think what shocked me with this place is here you are, you have your dog that has stitches in place that need to be removed and they have their scales actually in the waiting area instead of behind the doors in the examining area.  They expect you to sit there and get your dog on a scale in a waiting area, you have another owner with your dog who is not restraining their dog and my dog is a puppy, a very active puppy.  He can get out of a collar and leash in nothing flat.  If he had gotten out of this collar he probably would have been eaten by this other dog. The staff did nothing to try and help restrain this other dog.  Tell the owner can you take him on the other side of the waiting room while we do this.  It was just very inconsiderate.  I'm  just trying to get my dog on your scale which is what you want.  I'm trying to be careful because if my dog gets his collar off he will be chomped by this other dog.  I will never go there again.  They got mad at me because I got a phone call from my former vet's office.  The needed his records which I had sent everything about three days prior.  For some reason they couldn't find them and they needed his birthday.  So I called the vet and asked them to check the records and call me back with the birthday.  When I answered my phone they told me I had to take my phone call outside.  I should have made then sit there and call.  I just felt like they were really awful.  If they needed the information so bad why didn't they just call.
Response from Three Notch Veterinary Hospital
"We are sorry this member did not have a positive experience. I think part of the problem is that her previous veterinarian in another state had a different set up. We do gladly take sutures out when another hospital does a surgery on a pet, but we do have to charge for our time to do so. In this case a doctor examined the pet and removed the sutures, recording that things were healing normally. For surgery we do ourselves, their is no additional cost for taking the sutures out. When this incident occurred, there was a new concern in this region with the viral disease canine influenza. All the boarding facilities in the area were starting to require it, and we began then to require it also for dogs boarded here. That is why it was brought up. Had we not mentioned it and a dog became sick and died of the disease, we would have been negligent. The scale is in the waiting room near the door that leads to the exam room. It helps with patient flow. If another dog was unruly, the client service staff should have asked the other client to take the dog to another area, as this member mentioned. I know they do that often, but apparently not this time. We did have to start a protocol like nearly all doctors offices regarding cell phones because of so many cell phone calls being taken. In this case it would have been preferable that the staff called the other hospital, they do that regularly but not this time. Its possible it was a new client service person and that is why it happened. We have been in business here for 35 years and have an excellent reputation. You can see that from the vast number of posts on this site as well as our website and other sites where reviews are done. That does not mean we never make a mistake. I wish this member would have called and talked to the manager before this post."

Dr Ironmonger did a thorough exam of our elder rabbit. She expressed her bladder and took a sample of urine to test. Upon examination, Dr Ironmonger found blood cells in the urine, indicating possible infection. Dr Ironmonger prescribed antibiotics, sub-q fluids and pain meds. Dr Ironmonger has treated our animals for almost twenty years. We have complete trust in her abilities. She is compassionate and caring. She is definitely the expert in rabbit care in Southern Maryland.

The doctors here have gone above and beyond to care for our animals.  The staff is excellent and they are very caring.  Dr. Langford had to put our dog down and we received a hand written note from him and a donation in our dog's name!  We were so thankful for all of their understanding at such a difficult time.  THE BEST VETS IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND!

We've been going there a long time, over twenty years, and we're very super-satisfied with them. I could not say anything bad about them at all, they're wonderful. Their vets are very knowledgeable and compassionate. Their front-desk people work you in if they don't have an appointment, so they'll work with you. There's a lot of consulting with other vets or other services.

They put in a lot of energy into helping us figure some things out. I like that they have a lot of people to see. So there is not a whole lot of waiting for an appointment. They get us in pretty quick. The only complaint I probably have about it is that I feel that the prices are a little high. The price is not outrageous; it's worth it to me to still drive there and take them there for the care that we get from them.

They are good. The price is different for each visit and it?s hard to say when you go to a vet. The doctors there are great to work with. They do everything that you could ever ask for from a vet. They have good prices on their medicines. They are a great group and are probably the best vets I have ever used. They are not that expensive too.

It went extremely well. My cat is normally terrified of a vet trip. While, you could tell he did not like the trip, he was obviously not as scared as normal.

This clinic is very professional and has flexible hours. They are on call 24 hours a day. The staff is very personable, polite, caring, and helpful. They are comfortable to be around and I would recommend them to other pet owners.
