From start to finish, Burch Oil staff and crew were great to work with. Bobby Parlett, Sales Manager, is knowledgeable and professional. He's also great at customer service post-installation. One can't say that about a lot of service providers! The excavation and installation crews worked diligently throughout the project, getting things done without damaging anything else. Again, not a common practice.

I have never had a problem with Burch Oil at all.

The work was need on a rental property, so I relied on email to communicate with Burch Oil. Mr. Early quickly replied to understand my needs and arrange an appointment time. I obtained quotes from 4 companies (SOMD Heat & Air, 1-Hour, Winters, & Burch Oil). All 4 companies were close in price and offered ways to save (Rebate from SMECO, etc). I decided to go with Burch Oil for a few reasons. After reviewing the current system, Mr. Early replied with his assessment, his recommendations for system type, and also noted another issue (drainage, which I had not brought up). His quote for similar equipment and warranty as the others was close in price (about $800 less) but his quote actually included re-directing the drain to run outside the home and adding a pump to the line to ensure flow. Mr. Early came with his best price upfront and didn't try to "upcharge" on extras like moving the drain line. I appreciated him looking at the whole system vice just replacing what I asked, yet also still staying within my budget. On the day of the scheduled installation, Burch Oil's team showed up at the agreed time and promptly began working. The team was professional and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I am glad that I decided to go with Burch Oil and they have certainly earned my business in the future!

Just moved to a new house. Got us set up with oil delivery quickly. Excellent and helpful staff.

They could improve their training of the service techs.

We have worked with alot of contractors in the last several years while completing upgrades to our fixer upper home. Burch has been the easiest and most responsive of any we have dealt with-  highly recommended.
Our AC went out in June and had to have emergency weekend service to fix the AC- Burch did not do this repair. However they were one of the companies listed on BGE's website to use to receive BGE's rebates for a new HVAC systems. We had 2 other estimates in addition to Burch.
The first company (who did the repair) gave a written estimate for a Trane unit adding additional line items for a copper coil, air duct cleaning and a 2 year service warranty. There was no discussion regarding options, SEAR etc. 
When I called Burch Oil, I had 2 phone calls with Bobby P, both lasting 45- 1 hour. He explained SEAR and other ratings. He explained the features and benefits of both brands we were considering. He provided an excel spreadsheet to calculate energy savings and ROE for the units we were looking at. There was no line items for the above mentioned coil and the first 2 years of service are included. The time and effort he spend educating us about this major purchase was very much appreciated! Once we made our decision, there was a site  visit and scheduling of the install less just 9 days after writing the contract.
The day of the install a crew of 3 showed up bright and early (7:30am). They were polite, professional, and made sure to cover floors and other areas they came in contact with. The install went smoothly and they were finishing up by 2:30 -3:00 pm.
After the installers left, we started to notice water leaking from the new pump, we immediately called Burch and they said a tech would be dispatched. A tech called within a few minutes and stepped us thru correcting the issue (there was air in the line from the install). It did not require a service call, but we were pleased with the quick response.
Great Sales and Service - I wish all our experiences were this positive.

I will recommend these people and I love these people. They don't have a contract unlike other companies. Their price is competitive. The personnel are fantastic. Everything about them is an and ldquo;Aand rdquo;. I highly recommend them. They were fantastic.

We were referred by a work colleague who had a new system installed. Phoned for an appointment and estimate. They inspected the system and the house and listened and made notes. They even brought someone else (another employee) out to the house on a separate occasion to confirm their findings and discuss possible issues and fixes. We were unhappy with the previous system. It was 10 years old and was in the time range of needing to be replaced anyway. But the system had always cooled the house insufficiently and unevenly. We were advised of several options for our situation. The heater had always worked fine, but the A/C was, indeed, undersized (by 50%). The best option was to replace both A/C and furnace; optimal performance would be obtained with this option. The second option was to go with only a new A/C, but correctly sized. This would help, but since the old furnace was sized to the old A/C unit, the performance would be better, but not optimal. The third option was to go with a heat pump, with the same affect as in the second option. Of course, the price for the new A/C or heat pump would be well below that for the new system, but would give us some help. However, we chose to maximize the efficiency and go with the complete system. One of the deciding factors for us was the fact that we were able to pay them 1/3 up front and they carried the rest for us with no interest for one year. That factor, plus the draw of maximum efficiency (read cool in the summer) and the referral, coupled with their knowledgeable and friendly employees made us really feel good about our decision. We have not regretted it and have had their employees back out to check a "hot spot" in the house and to do regular maintenance. They are always cordial and efficient.

I WAS PRETTY SATISFIED. I'D CHECKED WITH OTHER COMPANIES, AND THEY WERE THE ONES WHO GAVE ME THE BEST PRICE, AND TURNED OUT TO GIVE ME THE BEST SERVICE. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH MY HEAT PUMP.
