Workers arrived exactly on time at 8 AM, with a crew of four who climbed the pine trees one by one, removing dead limbs from top to bottom. At 11 AM, the large crane arrived with an additional crew of 5-6 workers. They began working on the high trees and removed debris as it came down. At the end of the day, after all clean-up was completed, you would not have known that anyone had been there - except that the trees looked great. Thank you Nelson Tree Specialist for a great job.

Romeo came by the day after I submitted the request for a quote and gave a detailed estimate (even though I wasn't home at the time he figured out which trees I wanted to remove). When I called to schedule the appointment they had an appointment available in the same week. They arrived early on Friday and removed the trees, ground up the stumps and cleaned everything up afterward. They were very professional and did an excellent job. I'll definitely use them again.

Romeo Pineda came to do the estimate within a day of my initial call. He was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable and provided helpful advice about what could be done. I called a couple of days later and set up an appointment to have the work completed. They were able to give me an appointment within a couple of days. Antonio and his team of 2 additional men arrived on time to do the work. They were very professional and courteous and minimized any inconvenience to my neighbors. They told me how long it would take and they were finished in exactly that amount of time. They did an amazing job of cleaning up the debris and even rebuilt a small stone fence surrounding the rock bed that lines the front and side of my house. I was very impressed with the quality of their work, the timeliness of their response, and their professional approach to their work. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again if I need their services.

I felt they were very reasonable. They said when they'd be here, they showed up on time. They did all the work in the time that they said they would. They cleaned up everything. They were excellent. There were a lot of positive remarks about them on Angie's List. Their price was comparable to the other couple of people I talked to.

We have nearly 3 acres with tons of trees. Many trees were down from the previous winter and most of the others needed pruning and thinning. Nelson's crew were here from 7:30-5:00 for 2 days and worked all day with only a very short lunch break. They did everything I asked and more. I could not have been more pleased with the results. They grinded the huge roots and stumps and chipped the trees which provided a lovely ground cover under the remaining trees. They even chopped the hardwoods cut to allow us to easily split for firewood. I would definitely recommend Nelson's tree service and we will use them again in the future.

I will keep it short and sweet?WOW!! Nelson Tree Service did an excellent job cutting down an 80 ft. oak tree. The crew that was here was excellent and worked diligently in the hot, humid weather. I called Nelson Tree Service yesterday morning and they came out in the afternoon and gave us a quote and cut the tree down today. They did a very good job of cleaning up the yard when they were finished. I really admired their team work doing the job. I highly recommend Nelson Tree Service.

They did the job efficiently and professionally. They satisfied us in the removal and they cleaned up well afterwards. Everything was fine with their service. We had several estimates and they were by far the least expensive. They were responsive and did it came out pretty quickly. They were a little late though.

Outstanding service! Promptly responded to my call for an estimate. The estimator, Mr. Pineda was very knowledgeable about trees and tree care; provided clear information about what could be done, and what manner of trimming should not be done because it would harm, eventually kill, a healthy tree. They provided the best price I had gotten, and proof of insurance even before I asked for it. Crew arrived right as scheduled with their trucks and crane, and I noticed they always had a crew supervisor present and in charge. They cleaned up all the debris from our yard and deck. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and you could tell they were very experienced. Highly recommend them! And will definitely use the again.

Everyone was very happy with the work and the price. A crew of four arrived about 8:30AM and finished before 3. They worked quickly and carefully. This was dangerous work and they did it with skill. I would not hesitate to recommend them. They gave the quote on Thursday and came out the following Tuesday. We were very happy with the timeline. They were flexible on site and trimmed an additional tree at my neighbor's request and without additional charge.

They simply could not have been better. Romeo came out quickly to walk the property with me and make a plan. He was very professional and clearly knew his stuff ~ he even had his insurance papers on hand to give me! The large crew arrived promptly on the designated day and they began right away. One very good thing was that the company used large crews and large equipment so that they could accomplish much more than other companies promised, but in half the time and 2/3 the price. The crew worked hard, got a tremendous amount accomplished, and yet were very flexible and accommodating about all the ancillary activities (eg clean up and placement of logs), including revising the plan several times as we discovered more about what was actually out there. It was actually fun having them here and watching how they did everything. I simply could not have been more pleased. Particularly impressive was the precision of their work: they removed a 50-60 foot leaner tree without disturbing a large bird nest in the tree it was entangled with...and watching them put the large logs along the marked contour was amazing!

Romeo was very professional during my contact with him. He came on the morning of the tree removal to introduce himself. The hired staff did a fantastic job. I know I will be using them again in the near future, as I have another problem tree on my property. I would recommend this company on professionalism alone. It went well! I organized the tree cutting at my parents' home, and as reluctant as my parents were, in the end they admitted that the men did great work. Nelson even gave my parents a senior discount which helped with the cost.

On Wednesday, Mr. Romeo Pineda visited to provide an estimate. As we walked the land, he pointed out problem areas that I had not noticed. I was grateful for his discerning eye. More importantly, he noted which concerns didn't need to be immediately addressed and overall proposed approaches which would minimize cost. I felt I was getting an honest appraisal of the landscape situation and was not being "sold" anything. He was able to start work the following day. On Thursday, exactly at the promised time of 8 am, he returned with a large crew. Most of the work was done by the time I had to leave at 11:30. When I returned at 3, they were gone. It was beautiful. Everything was done. Actually, more than everything was done. In addition to our agreed upon work, they had cleaned up a number of dead trees and limbs which we hadn't discussed. I was really pleased. Later that evening, our neighbor who also had a few dead trees removed also, called over to say, "Wow, those guys really did a wonderful job!" Yes, they did.

Romeo and his crew just left our house, and we couldn't be happier! They arrived promptly at 8:15, and began work immediately. They worked steadily all day, and finished all the work that they agreed to do. The crew was fantastic - polite, professional, and very hard-working. In all, they cut down three large trees that were near our house, and trimmed large branches on several other trees around our property. The price included a chipper, a crane, and 4 guys for 8 hours, plus a stump grinder that arrived near the end of the day to grind out the 3 stumps left behind. They also cleaned up after themselves wonderfully - I think our driveway is cleaner now than when they got here! I will DEFINITELY be calling these guys again for future tree work!

I contacted the company, and they completed the job. They hauled everything away and ground down the stumps. I asked them to give me a quote, and then I purchased the big deal - they said that because they gave me such a good price, they couldn't apply the entire big deal amount; it didn't specify this in the Big Deal fine print. The price was good, and they were professional.

Nelson came quoted me on Thursday AM and went right to work the following Saturday. He and his crew were there at 8AM worked all the way through to about 2PM to get all work complete and to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend him to my neighbors for any future work.

This went very well. I submitted an estimate request in the evening, got a call back the next day with an estimate, and scheduled the removal for the following day. They showed up 15 minutes early and executed the job well. The price was very reasonable and included a 10% promotional discount. Everyone I dealt with was professional and efficient. I will absolutely be calling them again.

My neighbor and I solicited three estimates and Nelson was the cheapest. The work team arrived on time and worked all morning trimming trees despite the fact that it was snowing. I'm not a tree specialist but it appears to me that they did a thorough job. I dealt with Romeo Pineda who was professional and helpful, offering advice on how to keep an eye on our trees in the future. I will use Nelson again.

I clearly benefited from the off-season work -- both in cost and response time. Their bid was the lowest by far -- the other three estimates ranged from $1700 to $5725. I phoned Nelson's at mid-morning to let them know I had accepted their bid; at 1 pm the SAME day I received a call that the first crew would be arriving in 40 minutes; a second crew would arrive around 3pm. They were completely up and running by 2 pm and left by 5:30 pm. We were blown away.! Not only was this a large tree, but access was limited -- all the debris had to be carted out by hand through a 45" pathway along the side of the house between a 6'-high fence and deck. All the other contractors estimated 2 or 3 days to complete the work; one bid even included a roll-back dumpster for an additional $525. The work included the removal of three large branches overhanging my neighbor's yard -- WITHOUT access to my neighbor's yard and with a 6-foot high fence separating our yards. The skill at which they worked the ropes to swing these limbs back into our yard was quite impressive. And I received no complaints from my neighbor. I do want to note that their work might be too "industrial" for some homeowners who "particular" and/or have a well-manicured lawn/garden. They did state upfront in their estimate that some damage to the lawn might occur (deemed normal), but the "divets" that resulted from the fall of the heavy limbs were minor and nothing that we can't repair with a little soil and seed. There clean-up was less than "immaculate", but it only took me 45 minutes to rake up the remnant twigs in the entire back yard (filled a wheelbarrel). But for a savings of up to $4500, this was perfectly acceptable to us. Also, the large pieces of trunk were left on our front lawn from Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon. The explanation given me was that this work required a different truck which was not available until Monday. Considering the speed of their response and that they were working up until COB on a Friday, this delay was understandable and again acceptable to us. Also worth noting, througout the process their office staff kept in contact to verify that the work was proceeding to our satisfaction. And a final note: Only five days later a snowstorm dumped 15+ inches of heavy, wet snow, followed by rain and sleet, and ree-freeezing. We were so relieved not to be concerned about broken limbs breaking off and damaging our/our neighbor's property. Note: This tree had been hit by lightning a few years ago and the top broke off. There were several lar e/heavy lateral limbs below this hit. During the hurricane in 2010 severeal limbs came down and barely missed the house.

Office staff were pleasant and helpful. The company was very good about scheduling, and their price (with the coupon special) was excellent. The work crew was efficient and did a good job of removing the tree, drilling the stump and cleaning up before leaving. They removed a very large tree near the house, a shed and a power line without any difficulty and appeared experienced and skillful.

Had a visit from Romeo yesterday, who provided me with an estimate that was reasonable. With the deal on Angie's list, it turned into a good price. The crew showed up half an hour early to setup and were quick to get started all the while taking great care not to damage anything. The crane was driven onto the property using mats in order to protect the lawn. Everything was quick and professional, the stump was ground down and a fence taken down and put back up all in the span of three hours. Not only did Nelson's take down my tree, but also volunteered to pick up big branches of pine debris left from the recent ice storm around here -- much to the delight of all the neighbors. Would definitely recommend these guys and would use them again if the need arose.

This was a really good deal for us as we took advantage of a special offered ($699 for $1000 worth of service). The tree was in a difficult position to get to and they had to use a crane to remove the cut sections of the tree, as well as to lift the stump remover to the location of tree. They cut the tree limbs into fireplace lengths so we would be able to split it for firewood, They did a great job for a good price and we were pleased. We will use them again.

Day one: Called Nelson and an estimator arrived the same day. I had purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List. I am given warning that these trees take up a lot of the water and more water will be noticeable, especially in the back. We review the trees and I get straight answers regarding the tree roots under the driveway and the presence of phone lines going through the other tree. Day two: 5 workers arrive between 9 am and 10 am. An enormous crane and mulching machine are the highlights. Starting with the front tree, a skilled worker climbs it to cut smaller limbs that the ground crew feeds into the mulching machine. It gets loud very quickly and stays loud. He then uses straps to secure and cut huge limbs for the crane operator to lift. It's impressive to see the massive weight and height that this crane can handle. It is also impressive how easily this worker makes it seem to identify and climb to the next attack point. Noticeable safety precautions are practiced around the swinging tree limbs. The stumps are ground and the area cleaned up. Just a few small piles of saw dust remain in the back. It's now getting dark - 5 pm. It's January. I highly recommend Nelson Tree Specialist. One noticeable point: I am very glad that the ground was solidly frozen when the crane work was done. A few days ago, the snow was completely melted from the back and there is only a shallow trail of torn lawn, in some areas, to mark it's passage.

Upon confirming the work to be done Nelson Tree showed up promptly on the agreed upon date and the work was completed in two days. Aside from some sawdust around the area of the removed tree, all debris was thoroughly cleaned from the yard. They did a great job and we would use this service again.
