The gate that is suppose to keep people out and residences secure, spends weeks at a time wide open at night. I have reported the issue, and taken pictures, and was told that parts are on order. You have to follow up with the complex several times before anything gets taken care of.
In my building, the fire alarms go off randomly and unplanned, waking me from my sleep at all hours. I have reported this problem, and been told that the fire alarms were being "tested". They send out emails when the alarms are being tested, but there are many times where the alarms just go off randomly. I was told to "dial 911" if I felt unsafe. When I asked to move buildings, to one that didn't have the fire alarm issue, I was told I could do so only if I extended my lease another 12 months and paid more because any specials I received would not be moved to the new building. The people are incompetent, unprofessional, and the money that you pay for "luxury" doesn't seem to equate with the level of service. I have sent several emails to property managers, who told me that there was no one above them I could complain to. Only after I found the contact information from the management company was i contacted by someone above the people who sit in the office daily.
I moved to this complex because of a home fire, and the random fire alarms are a huge distraction and traumatic. I would not recommend this complex as a place to live.
