Overall the experience with Personal Relocation Services has been dreadful. The packing was careful, but the company price gouges and does not meet schedule. The belongings, including keepsakes of my mother's are still not in Bossier City, LA on 11/20. There is no time-line when the furniture will be delivered. We wonder if we will every get delivery of my deceased mother's belongings. The price for moving the belongings keeps going up. We are now over $960 over original estimate. Company is non-responsive. Phone calls are not returned, personnel are not helpful. I believe the company is dishonest and cheating me.
Description of Work: Move my deceased mother's belongings from Washington, DC to Shreveport, LA. Belongings were double bed, dresser, bureau, night stand, love seat, 2 side chairs, 2 end tables, dinette table, 3 ladder back chairs, small bookcase, 15 boxes. No books or clothes were moved. Weight of load less than 1,500 pounds. Original estimate was $1040. Wrapping furniture and care with belongings when picking up noted. $510 in packing materials unexpected as boxes were already packed. Then additional $450 for extra 1,000 pounds charged ridiculous. The amount of belongings was small, no way weighing 2,500 pounds. Items were picked up 11/13, supposed to be delivered 11/17 or 11/18. Company stating may be an additional week before delivery.
