Express Countertops did a great job. From the estimating, to choosing the slab, and fabricating our countertops we had an excellent experience with them. The installation crew were great, they were professional and courteous. They kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned up after. I would highly recommend them.

Poorly. The grain in the countertop was going in the wrong direction. It's going one direction on the island and opposite direction on the LShape. I had to pay before the work was completed and I had to sign off on a template.
Response from Express Countertops
"In all fairness, We charge everyone a deposit. it is so that we can purchase your material without financing your job- You sign off on the template however were told several times that YOU WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MEASUREMENTS. Granite material is not book match material. If you wanted veining to all go the same way-which is not typically found using Granite- you also have to be willing to PAY for the better material. Thanks for the rating!"

The installation went well, and the countertop looks amazing. The installers moved fast, but also took their time, if that makes sense. They moved fast, because they're experienced and good, but they took their time to do things right, lots of measuring and leveling and prep work. My real estate agent suggested the marble pattern, I trusted her and went with it after only seeing one small sample image online. Kudos to her too, as it looks great, much better than I could have expected. I got multiple quotes for the work, and these guys were also the lowest price by a good bit. The one seam where they had to join two pieces of granite is almost invisible.

Visited their office to check out samples. Rob was a big help and we picked out our stone that day. We had to wait about a week to get someone out to template our kitchen. Originally we needed 1 slab to complete our countertops but when they started cutting, they realized they needed to put a seam in the middle of the sink cutout to make one slab work. The other option was to get another slab for $400+. As we didn't want a seam in the middle of the sink, we bought another slab. Installers came a few days later and installed the countertops. Very beautiful install. I had a few issues with the installers they used but John was very concerned and seems to be remedying the issue.

Our house was eight years old and we wanted to give it a little update. We wanted to replace the counter tops in the kitchen, the master bathroom and the extra bathroom upstairs. We were very impressed with the quality of service, selection of counter tops and the finished product, not to mention the price was very reasonable. The new counters made a real difference in the way the house looked! We would definitely recommend this company to our friends, the

We went to showroom to choose our granite.  Mike, the sales person, advised us that there was only one option for a sink to choose.  We purchased the granite and the sink that day.

They put on the counter tops and everything looked great.  They are beautiful.  They put the sink in for us, but advised us that they don't hook up the plumbing.  We were just going to hire a plumber to come in and hook up the plumbing and garbage disposal for the sink.  We realized that the garbage disposal wouldn't fit under the sink.  The sink is 9 inches deep.  Also, one of the plumbers came out and advised us that the drain is going to be too high and might get clogged often.  He advised us that he would have to move the drain lower so it could work properly.  We weren't thinking there would be an additional plumbing project to complete this job.  We contacted Express Countertops and they advised us that was the standard sink that they recommend to people.  They advised us that there was nothing they could do about it.  He later told us that there was someone he could hire that would do the job for $200, but later changed the price to $250.  Dealing with them became very aggravating and they didn't take responsibility for the job.  They couldn't even assure me that my new counter tops wouldn't be damaged if they came back out.  Also, I don't even know how much they would have actually charged me.  It turned into a terrible experience.
Response from Express Countertops
"We are sorry that your experience was not pleasurable. We do strive to achieve A+ results for all customers. In our scope of work agreement, we listed the specific size of the sink and stated that we do not provide plumbing services. It sounds like in this situation were is some plumbing detail which made your re-connection more costly than you had expected. We recognize that we were unable to provide you with any additional support but plumbing is simply not our area of expertise. We are glad that you are happy with the actual countertops."

They offered the stone for free in the bathroom because they had leftover stone. So we only had to pay for the labor for that.

The measurement person took measurements and made a cardboard template.  He based it on the existing countertop which was not attached to the cabinets.  The measurements were to have the countertop with the proper inch and half overhang and continue flush to the wall.  The cabinets were installed level but due to floor sag, there was a gap at the top which kept the back edge away from the wall.  The countetopr was not to have a backsplash. The wall was to be tiled.   When the countertop was installed, there was a gap between it and the wall that varied from less than one eighth to three eights inch on one piece of material. On another piece, they actually dug the countertop into the wall to make the front overhang correct. The installer mentioned that the company does not have a CNC cutting machine and that the pieces were guided by hand in the cutting machine they do have. Pictures of the gap were sent to the company representative who forwarded them to his supervisor. Two weeks have passed and there has been no response from them. We had to go through some tiling gymnastics in order to cover up their mistake and poor workmanship.   This company was the lowest bidder and it is probably because they do not have modern machinery and do not measure using laser instruments like most other companies have.

It turned out okay. They came out and measured the place. I appreciated the fact that they wanted to keep working with me to get it right. They did a good job taking measurements and were on time. They ended up not having enough of material that I wanted so they made it a thinner counter top and they were supposed to make it look thick. They glued two pieces together to make it thick. I can now see the scene. They warned me about it. They were friendly and good to work with. They made sure everything was even. He was not consistent in his coming because sometimes he would come late in the evening.

These guys were great. Showed me my options and showed up on time to do the work. They cut one piece a little short but informed me of the mistake and fixed it in a timely fashion. After dealing with a contractor that did sloppy work, it was a nice change to have a company fix mistakes before I noticed them.

They put in the counter tops at fair price and treated everyone nicely. They did have a mess up where they made a cut at the wrong place but when they were finished I could not see the cut. The experience with the workers were fine.

Express countertops were very professional and knowledgeable and did a beautiful job on our new countertops. They came out twice to be sure they had the measurements precisely right. They sent us to one granite dealer and we picked out our slabs but they were willing to send us to some others till we found the exact piece we wanted. They also worked with us on the installation around our plumbers schedule before he left on vacation. They arrived actually ahead of schedule and were in and out in less than 4 hours for the whole job including clean up. We couldn't be happier especially since they offered an amazing Angie's list deal that convinced us that we had made the right choice in a fabricator. I would recommend them and thank Jeff Lananhan, our sales guy and Alex and Brandy in the office for putting the job together and making it happen. Thanks to everyone at Express!

Despite a hiccup in the fabrication of the piece, the company corrected the error promptly and did their best to keep our renovation on schedule.  John was a pleasure to work with, he was easy to reach, and he consistently maintained his professionalism as we addressed the project.  Will certainly keep this company in mind if we require future countertop work.
