My husband has been using this place for a while. Why? I don't know. Our Kia Minivan began having trouble 5 months ago. The check engine light comes on, and the car starts running really rough. The van has been at this place several times, and only once was a problem identified and fixed. We had it there yesterday. The car was running alright, but the check engine light was on. The tech said he couldn't identify the problem. Really? Or perhaps he just didn't want to. I was out with my children today, and we had absolutely no problem noting that there was definitely a problem.. The check engine light came on and the car started running really rough. I could barely get up a small hill! This is not the first time that we have gotten our van back from Car Doc worse than when we dropped it off. This place is terrible. Now, I have do without the van AGAIN while we take it somewhere else. This is a huge hastle for us, as we have 4 children and our other car doesn't fit all of us. Please, take your car to a professional mechanic and avoid this place. They are terrible.

In 2005 i had 29000 miles on car. i still have the itemized receipt that shows the items that were replaced. it wasn't until i moved to Virginia and had the car put through the State inspection that i found out that the rear pads and rotors WERE NOT REPLACED. the rear brake pads were worn down to the metal backing (only 38000 miles on car when inspected in may 2012).the front end work i had done in 2011 was incomplete - during the Virginia State Inspection the right front ball joint rubber boot was completed rotted away allowing water and dirt to infiltrate. a new ball joint was installed the same day. back in 2005 i would have given this company an excellent rating for everything. but, after having to pay to have repairs done again and paying for parts again i would never recommend them.

update: i had car doc perform a headlight alignment in 2010. well, when i had a problem with the right side headlight i took it to the garage that did the state inspection for me. funny how simple a headlight adjustment is, but car doc somehow managed to break the headlight mounts 1 was completely broken and one mount was hanging by a thread. cost for a new headlight from the garage? 135 bucks.

It was smooth and professional. They explained everything to me and didn't talk down to me. Highly recommend!
