OUTSIDE UNLIMITED

The arborist told me the trees would not develop a proper root system that is necessary for their support. He advised me to cut the trees down before they fell down. One of the trees was already leaning slightly. I contacted Outside Unlimited by phone, email, and mailed the information to them, including photos. I asked them to visit my property to see the situation for themselves. They did not respond.

I then filled a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office, and with the Better Business Bureau. Outside Unlimited did not respond to either of those agencies.

In the spring of 2012 I had the zelkova trees cut down at a cost of $715.
I then had two new trees planted at a cost of $622.

I was very disappointed to have wasted 15 years growing trees to shade my house, only to have to remove them due to Outside Unlimited's negligence. How do you put a price on that? Outside Unlimited has never responded to me in any way.

The biggest complaint that I had was that initially it took a long time for them to come out for the first mowing, and then they did not come out on a regular basis. I never knew what day of the week they were coming and sometimes they would skip a week. My lawn was overgrown several times during the summer. The price I was quoted was a little bit higher than other estimates that I got, but I went with them anyway because I thought they would do a professional job. In the end I should have saved my money.

While building a retaining wall our existing irrigation system was damaged. I contacted Outside Unlimited, who originally installed the irrigation system 10 years ago. Marcus Vito responded timely and scheduled an appointment within a week. I asked while he was here to do the repairs that he do an overall system check to ensure that the system is in god working order. Marcus arrived early for the appointment and was well prepared to do the repair. He completed the repairs and gave an overall system check-up, including testing all of the lines for pressure and leaks and adjusted all of the heads. I'm very pleased with Marcus and with Outside Unlimited and would recommend them to anyone installing an irrigation system or having landscaping work done.

They did an excellent job from start to finish. Their representative, Bob Hollis, was incredibly professional. He returned all calls and emails in a timely manner, answered all of my questions and concerns, and he monitored the job and they presented me with a detailed drawing of the plan, something that no other bidder did. Bob had photographs of all the plants that he suggested, making it very easy to select from among the millions of choices. They worked quickly and efficiently on a city job, and there were no complaints from any of the neighbors about the trucks or equipment being in the way. Most importantly, however, is that they did a beautiful job. Everyone that walks by comments on how lovely the new landscape looks, and the trees are bigger than what I had expected. It's a great addition to my home, and the neighborhood.

COMPANY DID WORK AS STATED IN CONTRACT. THEY ASSURED ME THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE PLANTING IN DECEMBER THAT THINGS WOULD GROW. WELL, MANY DID NOT. WHEN CALLED TO REPLACE ITEMS THAT DID NOT GROW, THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THEY HAD BEEN EATEN BY DEER, RABBITS, ETC. NOT TRUE. ONLY A FEW ITEMS THAT DID NOT GROW WERE REPLACED. I WAS NOT AND STILL AM NOT HAPPY.
