This was the second job by this company.  We chose them because they did quality work and made efficient use of time.  They also took time to plan the project using computer design so the result matched what we wanted.  We were pleased this time too.  They made efficient use of time to complete the project so the disruption was minimal and solved problems quickly.

Brien and crew are the epitome of professionalism.  From start to finish, the process was smooth sailing.  Each of the subcontractors did their job with skill and precision.  The finished product was even better than expected.  Brien managed our expectations accordingly.  He was upfront and honest and didn't surprise us with anything out of the ordinary.  So many times contractors don't give you the full story.  That wasn't the case with Brien.  He told us exactly what to expect and how much it was going to cost us.  Lastly, Brien's crew took care of the "blocking and tackling" which is forgotten by many contractors today: showing up on time, responding to emails, and returning phone calls.

Our experience with Brien and his team was awesome.  It began with a visit to our home to discuss our ideas for a complete remodel of our existing kitchen.  We not only wanted to update our 70's kitchen, but utilize the space from an adjoining family room to make the large kitchen of our dreams.  From the start we felt 100% comfortable with Brien, what impressed us most of all was the fact that he was not only a salesman, but also the installer.

We had already talked to other kitchen remodelers and had a good idea about the type of cabinets we wanted.  Brien took measurements, showed us catalogs of different cabinets and offered his own experiences with different floorings and such.  He explained that his company started with all the "bells and whistles" in the design and estimate, and that we'd work back from there based on cost.  He invited us to his showroom to not only look at samples, but to sit down with his designer to hammer out our vision.

Emily (the designer) was a delight to work with.  She took Brien's measurements and our preferences to produce a stunning design for our new kitchen.  Throughout the process she offered her own design ideas based on her personal and professional, kitchen remodeling experiences.  We made our choices of cabinets, counter top, and flooring while looking through all the samples at the showroom.  She provided us with detailed drawings of our kitchen design along with estimates.  We took those home to digest and tweak, making an appointment with Brien to come out again and take more finite measurements.

Brien came back out to our home to finalize the scope of the job.  Utilizing Emily's design printouts he walked us through what all was required to turn our dream into reality.  He offered his own suggestions regarding our tweaks to the design.  We took a few days to digest everything we learned, and to figure out what we could afford to do.

We decided to commit to Courtyard Kitchens for our remodel.  We met with Emily again to finalize design changes and costs.  She and Brien provided us with start and completion dates for our project.  Despite a glitch from a supplier (a wrong piece shipped) that needed to be replaced, the guys adhered to their schedule.

Brien's team consisted of Kevin and Kirby, with electrical support from Dan, and drywall finishing from Steve.  Granite counter tops were finished by Counter Intelligence.  This team was knowledgable, professional and courteous.  They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning up after themselves as the work progressed.  They answered the multitude of questions that I had each day as I watched the work progress.  They provided me with tips on how I could do some other home improvement projects myself as well as adapting to changes to the original scope of work, that I requested.

We couldn't be more pleased with the final result.  Family and friends are blown away at our kitchen transformation, and the quality of workmanship provided by the guys of Courtyard Kitchens.  We've recommended them to others who are planning a remodel and will without a doubt call upon this team to help us remodel several baths in our home.  We were extremely pleased to learn that the installtion side of the business is not limited to just kitchens.

The design Emily suggested is wonderful, better than imagined. They worked with our budget and I am amazed at the outcome. The work was done as scheduled, three weeks from start to finish for a full remodel. Everyone was very professional and the quality of the work is outstanding.

We obtained designs and estimates from 5 companies.  Courtyard had the design we liked best and they were highly recommended by some co-workers.  They presented us with a work schedule (which included work to be done by a couple of subcontractors) and they were on time, every step of the way.  After the demolition, they even set up a temporary kitchen sink that we could use.  They cleaned up at the end of each day so we never had to deal with any mess.  They told us up front that, start to finish, the work would take 2 week, and that was exactly the amount of time they needed.  We get a lot of compliments about our new kitchen.  Courtyard Kitchens is a very professional company that I will very likely use again.

Excellent service. The designer we started with left the job halfway through, but Emily took over and did a wonderful job getting up to speed in terms of our needs. She also suggested several improvements on the previous designer's plans. Installation went smoothly, and we requested a few touchups which were promptly completed.

Emily helped me to tweak my design to get it just right. I asked for some things that were difficult to accomplish, but Emily & Brien worked hard to accommodate my requests. They took it all in stride and came through with flying colors. They kept a very tight schedule but we did have some delays due to a problem with the granite delivery/install that was not their fault. They still need to install my backsplash but I have not purchased the tile yet. The workmanship was excellent, and they were always prompt, polite, and eager to please. Emily was always cheerful and helpful. Kevin does fantastic finishing work. And Brien does a great job of orchestrating the whole project and making sure things get done right and and on time. They were all very professional. Only issue we had was with the tile install done by the tile man they brought in. But I would definitely use them again or recommend them to friend.

Project went extremely well. Good support during design, respect for budget, no construction surprises due to inspection and check before work started. I had a temp sink in two days. Careful removal of old kitchen cabinets ensured they could be reinstalled and trimmed out .in laundry and in basement. The window and door installations were done prior to the kitchen and LR start. The installers they brought in to do the countertops and floors were also of high quality. I bought a number of fixtures independent of Court Yard and they were more than willing to advise as to whether my choices would fit. They even took delivery of the new appliances while I was at work. I was always able to get answers to my questions and received prompt responses to emails. The only thing I would have done differently is make sure I knew when my choices for counters and flooring needed to be made. Post installation there was never an issue with regard to their making those usually necessary adjustments timely throughout the warranty period.

The granite vendor made errors in cutting and installing the countertop, and Courtyard handled our complaints with courtesy, eventually arranging for the first countertop to be removed and replaced at no cost to us. Overall our experience with Courtyard was very good.

This was an excellent experience. Danielle (designer) and Brian (installer) provided a schedule that detailed each step of the demo and installation process. They kept to their schedule every step of the way and cleaned up the work area at the end of each day. From start to finish, it took about 14 days. After the installation, we found some cabinet doors that had some minor damage to the finish. Courtyard quickly ordered replacement doors and installed them promptly. Brian and Kevin (installers) are friendly and very professional.

They came out and met with us, discussed our ideas and came up with a wonderful plan that totally met our needs and wants. They did the construction work themselves. The parts of the job that involved other contractors ( pulling up tile floor, granite countertops) etc. they coordinated and handled all complaints and questions. We really liked the fact that they broke down the cost by job ( tear out cabinets, install cabinets, remove tile, lay new flooring) and were very happy to allow us to do some of the work with a commensurate reduction in price.

My entire kitchen remodeling experience was a pleasure, thanks to Courtyard Kitchens! Several months ago, I started out by identifying three kitchen remodeling companies (two through Angie s List and another by word-of-mouth). I interviewed each of the three companies and selected two for the design phase. I painstakingly worked closely with each designer (including visits to their showrooms and trips to my home by them) until I felt like I got the best possible product from each designer. Then, I asked for price quotes from each of the two. Courtyard Kitchens was the hands-down winner, their design was superb, thanks to Emily, a senior designer, and their pricing was more competitive. In addition, Courtyard s communication and responsiveness was top-notch. Another big plus is that Courtyard does not subcontract out their installation work, they do it all with in-house employees and the owner of the company, Brian, does much of the installation himself. Once I signed the contract with Courtyard, I purchased the appliances and hardware myself according to the design specifications. I arranged with Courtyard for them to do the work while I was away on vacation (how nice to come back home to a new kitchen!). Courtyard Kitchens proceeded to do a spectacular job. They met every deadline, stayed on schedule, kept in close contact, and their work was simply masterful. They completed all of their work in a mere three days (and that included the removal of a tricky bulkhead, which other designers weren t sure could even be done)! They also did a meticulous job cleaning up after themselves. On the third day they coordinated with the company I had selected to handle my new granite countertops (see separate review for The Countertop Stop), and the two companies worked well together. After the countertops were installed a week later, Courtyard returned for one day to finish the plumbing. Everyone was professional, courteous, trustworthy, and technically at the top of their game. I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Courtyard Kitchens!

I was happy with the experience. Their kitchen designer was very knowledgeable and professional. I felt their price was much better that their competition, and that we got a quality product for the money we paid. I would definitely refer them to other people.

Courtyard Kitchens was a pleasure to work with. The quality of their work was very good and the people really nice. One of the things I liked the best was their flexibility about products. Sure you could buy your faucets, knobs, tile, even flooring from them but if you found something you liked better somewhere else, you could buy it and they would install it. Ditto for the appliances. Other places tried to talk us out of cabinets going all the way to the ceiling. Brian found a way to do it within our budget. They took great pride in their work and we are very pleased with the results.
