Phone Service - Cellular
I went to U.S. Cellular's office here in Hagerstown. They refused to unlock my phone. The person suggest that I contact their headquarters. I did by phone. They refused to unlock my phone and were quite nasty about it. Major carriers, including Verizon Wireless, AT&T Inc, Sprint Corp, T-Mobile US and U.S. Cellular, in December, 2013 made a voluntary pledge to make it easier for consumers to unlock their cellphones, under pressure from consumer groups and the Federal Communications Commission. U.S. Cellular didn't honor their pledge.
They're very expensive. What cost me $172 for services from U.S. Cellular now cost me $30 from Consumer Cellular.
