Parke Power (Tank Taxi)

I discovered Parke Power (aka Tank Taxi) through groupon where I purchased a 3 propane tank exchange. My first several calls went unanswered and messages were not responded to. By the time I got back around to calling them again, my groupon had expired. When I finally received a response, Parke Power allowed me to apply the original groupon price to one of their regular priced services, which added additional charges. We scheduled our first tank swap which occurred as scheduled. The service was easy and convenient. I left the empty tank on my doorstep and by the time I returned from work, a new tank was waiting in its place. Unfortunately, when I tried to schedule my second tank swap, several emails and calls went unanswered. After several weeks, I received a reply from Parke Williams (president) that simply stated, "I have been out of the office the past few days. After reviewing your information you have no available remaining Groupon exchanges. Please place an order via our web site. wwwTankTaxi.com." I followed up by sending Mr. Williams an email with a delivery confirmation showing that only one of the deliveries had, in fact, been made and requested a scheduled time for the next tank swap. I neither received a response to that email, nor any of the dozen emails or phone calls I made over the following months. The latest recording at the company's phone number indicates that the phone is unattended and only directs the caller to their website. Emails to the primary, customer service and president's emails have all gone unanswered. In the end I filed a complaint with Groupon. After one week, Groupon was also unable to elicit a response from Parke Power and granted me a refund of the charges. While I was able to easily settle this through a 3rd party, I'd be concerned that dealing with a vendor like this could result in other customers being defrauded with no simple recourse.
