During a snowstorm, my wife noticed we had no hot water. I contacted Larry & Sons before the storm, and while I understood their priority to ensure driver safety, they informed me it might take a couple of days to reach my residence. This was reasonable given the circumstances. When the technician finally arrived, he quickly diagnosed a leak in our hot water tank and determined it needed replacement. He also mentioned that our water softener system was improperly installed by a previous technician and recommended replacing it. Additionally, I decided to replace the sump pump as part of the project. However, I was shocked when I was quoted over $13,000 for the job. Given the urgency of the situation—my family needed hot water—I reluctantly agreed to proceed. Unfortunately, I later realized that I was overcharged by approximately $5,000 for the project. To make matters worse, after the installation, the team left a mess on the street that they didn’t clean up. While I am relieved my family now has hot water and a new water softener system, I cannot justify the excessive cost or the unprofessional behavior. I would caution anyone considering Larry & Sons to think twice before doing business with them. In my experience, they took advantage of a dire situation, leaving me feeling overcharged and disappointed.

I also made the error of becoming a member. The repair man who was really a salesman talked us into it, but when we bought our furnace from someone else, we discovered that we were stuck in this contract no matter what. If we would allow them to co the maintenance their service was for, our warranty would be voided. The salesman clearly knew this but gave us another story. After several hone calls, they are getting paid for nothing. would not let us out of the contract so we have been paying for a year for a service we cannot use. We have had a monthly reminder that they tricked us into getting this service. After putting a bad review online, they contacted us and said they would let us out of 17 dollars of the 204 we paid. The owner said he would not threaten us but we better take the review down. That seemed an odd thing to say. I then went online to see if there was a response to our review and it is not posted anymore. That might explain the strangely high rating this company is getting. If you want to see their real rating, I suggest you look at Yelp. They only have 1 star which sound about right to me. By the way, we found another contractor who was willing to do the same job with comparable equipment for MUCH less, so the 200 they got from us was still a lot less than they planned on getting out of us.

They lied and said they replaced it. Two months later the element rusted out and caused a flood in my basement. They never replaced it and charged me more than it would have cost to replace the entire heater. They are dishonest people.

Horrible. First scheduled appt, they left a message on my husband's cell phone 30 mins before they were to be at our home to let us know they were having a early meeting and would be there shortly, husband already left his business to come home; after an hour of waiting he had to cancel-- as a business owner, he also has a schedule to meet. We rescheduled for the following week--again after 30mins of waiting we called and were told they were in traffic! Really, have some courtesy and call the customer! We have used them for years but i think it is time to move on to another more organized company and give them a turn for some new business.

They were on time, they did what I asked them to do, which was tune up the air conditioner.  They came the day they said they would come, but there was a widespread - we'll be there between 8 and 4 in the afternoon - so maybe a little bit more definite time would be better.  I've been using them for a long time.

They had been out like ten days before, and the issue expanded. I paid eight hundred dollars two weeks before, did not get me anywhere with the five thousand dollar repair. Just disappointed that the inspection and work which was done within an month prior, did not capture the problem. It ended up being so expensive for that visit.

Its under an plan that we pay every year. Its seventeen dollars a month for the plumbing and the air conditioning check. That its precise, professional, thorough, and friendly. They are usually very friendly.

We received a phone call the day before they were supposed to be out for the estimate. They wanted to make sure some body would be at the house. Well I was and I waited for some one not to show up. There was no call or anything that something came up or anything. It now has been almost a week and I haven't heard anything. Things do happen, but at this day and age communication is every where and there is little excuse not to get in touch. I cant say anything about quality of work if no one even shows up.

5 months later the bottom element threads were so rusted that it blew out and caused over $8000 of damage. To their credit, they suggested that I replace the unit for $1200. I should have. However, I just replaced it with a high end new unit for $481.60 after an extensive and expensive clean up.

They had been out the month previous and made a fix on something with the well pump that then didn't work. If we would have been told the month before, we wouldn't have had to pay $500 the month before and we could have just replaced it then. Our interactions with them were fine. The work turned out fine. They could definitely provide estimates of expected replacement.

Our technician basically showed up, looked at our heater, assessed the situation and said he didn't know what was wrong but he could call tech support. He then added it would be $70 for 30 minutes on the phone with tech support and then he would have an answer. So I was going to pay $49.00 for him showing up to tell me he needed to call someone else for a diagnosis. I thought the technician would do the diagnosing, so I paid him just to tell me he had no idea. He then asked me to sign saying I declined his services haha. Thanks for the professionalism Larry and Sons. His lack of knowledge and level of expertise is disappointing.

I used Larry and Sons for my plumbing.  They could provide the pricing for the work before it's done.  We had like a contract with them, we have always used them.  Here lately they have had unauthorized billing without our knowledge of the work first.  They were here in April of 2016.  It cost $800.

I've had to call Larry and Sons twice over the past few months.  First time because my 2 year old flushed a Matchbox car down the toilet and second because our attic AC unit had a clogged drain pipe.  Both times someone called me within a couple hours of filling out the online form and both times they were at my house within 24 hours.  Both service experts were extremely professional, courteous and fully explained the problem and what it would cost to fix.  The most recent one was Josh Deal and he even made sure to be extra quiet while flushing the drain since our 2 year old was napping in the room below.  That's service!!  They have a customer for life.  As an added bonus, their USA member service is great.  I signed up on the spot and it even saved me money on my current visit.
