They job was excellent, only good things to say about deck builders, LLC. Mr. Nelson was on top of the job from beginning to end. He took care of all permits and made sure everything pass inspections. The deck is beautiful.

Workmanship was excellent and follow up was great. Other contractors that have seen the work have commented on how well constructed the deck and patio are. They are not the cheapest provider out there, but not the most expensive either. A good balance of quality and costs. Owner was very hands on during the construction, which was appreciated.

I'm thrilled with my new deck. Once we decided on a price and date and time they were so very prompt and the workmanship of the deck is exceptional!! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a honest, reliable contractor. They were very pleasant to work with and took care of the rot issue left behind the old deck. They also placed a drainage pipe underground for me to take care of the flooding happening in the back yard. I have recommended them to many friends and family already!

I regret it has taken me this long to post a comment, but better late than never!  The team, lead by Mr. Lee Vines, was fantastic from start to finish. They provided a detailed drawing of the design we desired for permits and HOA approval (I am very particular, had done product and material research, and had a design all drawn out by hand for the initial consultation).  They were able to find special post caps to complete a unique finish for the deck railing, and also made a great suggestion to add cost effective lighting in places for a touch of sophistication.  From a distance, especially at night, the deck looks incredible!  MD Deck Builders came in within budget, completed the job earlier than expected, and offered reasonable payment options.  We recommended them to my sister, who recently had them build a beautiful patio and spectacular pergola.  Awesome job MD Deck Builders!   We are thoroughly enjoying the deck and may possibly expand it in the near future.  Of course, MD Deck Builders will handle the job.  We would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

It went well as usual.  I've used this company three times for different jobs and I expect that I will use consistently as my contractor as long as they are in business.

My wife and I are completely thrilled with the final product built by Maryland Deck Builders. The deck and screen porch are very well built from high quality materials and great workmanship.
Martin from Maryland Deck came out to talk to us when we were shopping for a deck and screen porch. He talked about the company and how it was founded and did a good job of helping us understand what we'd be looking at in terms of price/materials/quality.
Maryland Deck then drew up a plan and we moved forward with really no necessary modifications.
They handled everything in terms of applications/permits/approvals, etc. When I did need to submit something to our HOA and eventually our local town government, MD Deck supplied me with what I needed right away.
The workers were outstanding - courteous, hardworking and a lot of attention to detail. The owner of the company is the lead carpenter and obviously takes pride in the finished product.
At the end they finished up by scrubbing and cleaning the final project so it was free of any construction debris and was ready to go for us to use. The only problem is that it is late January and we can't start enjoying it right away.

From top to bottom exceptional service. We were is constant contact with Martin, our salesman/rep. Also Nelson, the owner and builder. We got a composite/PVC deck that was in line with at least 4 different companies as far as cost goes. What stood out was the communication with Martin and the craftsmanship of Nelson and his crew. These men like and take pride in what they do. Just an outstanding experience!

Very professional company, from the salesman to the crew. Lee came out twice to measure and solidify the details. Permits were pulled and work was begun in a very timely fashion. The crew was always curteous. We had one minor setback with the flooring which set us behind about 4 days. Lee was always available to answer my emails or phone calls. The crew even went the extra mile and fixed the latch on the gate to make access to the back yard easier! Two of the supports had to be placed on my patio. The crew cut and replaced the bricks. They made it look as if nothing had been disturbed. We are very pleased with our new outdoor living space and would highly recommend Maryland Deck Builders!

Our experience with Maryland Deck Builders was excellent! The company just finished our 14x28 foot enclosed deck and it is absolutely beautiful. We were very impressed with Nelson and his crew. I was able to speak with Nelson at the end of each day to see how things were going, etc. Nelson was always willing to answer any questions and always filled me in on progress. He takes great pride in his work/ trade and I would say his finished product is nothing short of exceptional. We had met with two other companies to have this work done. From the onset we felt that this company used quality materials and their price was better and much more fair than the other estimates. Lee, the sales representative, was friendly, very knowledgable and able to answer all of our questions. Lee made us feel at ease with making our decision to use this company. We Would recommend this company to anyone wanting a nice, well built deck.

The old sidewalk was removed and the grass removed between the front walkway and the driveway and all was replaced with pavers and lined with matching brick to the front porch. The bricks lining the front porch were crumbling and needed to be replaced. In the process of removing the old brick, the contractor discovered an old crumbling porch underneath a layer of concrete. The porch was shored up with additional concrete and the sidewalk was raised to bring the step height to code and a
handrail was added.
They did an excellent job and have increased the curb appeal of my house tremendously along with making the front entry way safer.

After all of the paperwork had been completed with the HOA and county, the actual building process was quick and painless. It was scheduled and completed quickly. They completed it quickly and exactly as promised. They did a wonderful cleanup at the end of the job, leaving us with a wonderful deck that has gotten many positive comments from friends and neighbors.

Maryland Deck Builders was a delight to work with. They managed to remodel my condo kitchen without ever depriving me of the use of my old appliances. They were able to coordinate floor, counter top, and appliances all within days of each other. I chose not to replace cabinets but rather change hardware and clean them up a bit. They took care of the cabinets also and now they look new! I would definitely use this company for any remodeling projects in the future.

The workers and lead supervisor were always willing to stop work and explain steps to improve the final project. Great
demeanor and attention to detail. On a couple of occasions we had to call and request status updates. We brought this
to the attention of the on site supervisor and lead manager performing the work.
Recommendations:

1. Company maintain more contact with customers when delays happen due to the weather.

We weren't aware till arriving home that supplies for the work was on the property
Seek owners permission before placing supplies on property (we lost a portion of our driveway for several weeks)
Communicate weekly or daily using email, phone, or social media. Status updates are reassuring for customers when
this level of money is expended.

We looked at several other companies and decided on this company because we were impressed with the sales representative. Nelson and his crew were professional and took pride in their workmanship. They kept the construction site clean and listened to and responded to our concerns. They took their time with the project and paid attention to detail. It was a pleasure to work with this company and we would use them again in the future without hesitation. The porch looked better than we had anticipated and we have had several neighbors comment on the quality and appearance.

They were very communicative. They kind of kept in on the loops throughout the process which was nice. There was no real downside. I am very happy with the deck and with them. I was glad I went with them. I would use them again in the future.

The deck removal was very quick and efficient. The deck installation was a great value and the quality is excellent. They offer different types of composite deck materials as well as treated wood. We chose to go with Elements composite decking. Maryland Deck builders did a great job with the installation. the deck feels very solid, safe, and looks great. The brick patio installation also went very well. Again, no complaints. Their pricing is also very competitive. Maryland Deck Builders is a family run business. The owner (Nelson) has his family and relatives do the work themselves and do not outsource any of the work. They finished the installation in the time they quoted. I would definitely go back to them and recommend them to friends.
