"We at Mallary Carpet & Flooring are very surprised to hear that this customer is not satisfied even though all issues were resolved. The customer chose a carpet with a lower pile, tight plush texture. The way the light came into the house, made one seams slightly more visible. We had the original installer return to inspect the job. He worked on the areas of concern and rolled the seams and trimmed them to remedy the issues. The customer was still unhappy with how noticeable the seam was. At this time we sent another installer, to try to address the issue. He too rolled the seams and trimmed the area and explained to the customer that sometimes when you have a tight low cut pile, like the carpet they chose, the seams are more visible with the concentration of light, as it was in this home. We also had the owner, Jim Mallary, go out and inspect the seam and talk with the customer. He too went over the same things to assure the customer that it was a good install and we would stand behind it with all warranties. As a good faith gesture we offered a free carpet cleaning of the entire area that we installed, a ($421.14 value). Jim was led to believe at this time the customer was satisfied. That is why were confused as to why they would not do business with us in the future. We made every effort to address the customer’s concerns. We have a 5 year warranty on the installation of the carpet and this warranty covers any failure of workmanship issues. It was determined that there were not any issues with the install but rather an issue with the angle of the light that enters the home that exposes the seams. The seams were put together tight and seam sealed and are evenly raised. We genuinely want all our customers to be fully satisfied because we rely on referrals to grow our business. It is not our intension to leave any of our customers with the feeling that they have no other recourse but to post an unsatisfactory report almost a year after an install."
