Not so good. Owner did an initial walk about on property to give me an estimate prior to hiring. I wrote out what I wanted: mowing, trimming, street cleaning & edging, so he could give me an estimate. He indicated at that walk through that the crew could use a walk behind mower which would avoid damaging a slight hill and cherry tree roots in the front yard. He gave me a verbal estimate of $45 per mow. When I got the contract to sign, the amount was $50 a cut. So I went back to him to correct the contract based on the verbal estimate. He did do this. However, when the service started I noticed his crew didn't edge and they used a riding mower, not a walk behind mower. So I e-mailed him. In his email response he indicated that I "must have misunderstood." I didn't misunderstand. I was very clear in my expectations. Then when I got the billing statement, I was charged more than the agreed upon amount. I told him that his crew didn't do the edging we originally agreed upon for the price of $45 a cut so I should not be paying $45 a cut. He still charged me the full $45 each cut even though his crew failed to do the complete job. So weeks later, the roots of a cherry tree were damaged from the riding mower and other areas on the property weren't trimmed. I went back to him to address and correct. In his response, his tone became nasty. Then another cutting was done and a large amount of the clippings were left in various places on the lawn and in the dry bed. I went back to him to address and correct. He responded in a nastier tone than previously indicating that "I don't take threats lightly." I merely stated that with the problems I was experiencing I doubted I could hire his company again next season. There was never any "threat" or even a hint of a threatening tone in my messages. Then he abruptly cancelled my contract. The contract I signed indicated that "termination of this contract my (sp) be performed by either party with thirty days written notice." Donovan cancelled contract without the 30 days written notice.

The service was excellent. I'm always happy with their work. Two guys came out and took about two to three hours to complete the job. They are reliable, honest and I trust them in my house. They do seem to have the same workers for a while so they seem to treat them good. I have used them for several years.
