Eric went beyond and over what I had expected. My then realtor was even surprised at how professional and how complete his service had been.
The final package of the review was so professional that I still have it and will keep it. Eric set a bar that I believe that all inspectors should strive to reach. The package included pictures of what needed to be corrected, along with pointers so there was not mis-understanding of what needed to be corrected. He even included pictures of suggestions of what could make my property engery effiicent and eco friendly. That information help me make sure that my home was not or will not be wasting engery. 
I have a friends who will be purchasing a home soon. I will diffently pass on his name to them.

Eric Smith was wonderful.  He was responsive and professional.  He did a thorough job, pointing out issues that needed correcting by the seller, as well as provided tips to me as the new homeowner.  He provided an electronic version of his report with pictures at the end of the inspection.  I will definitely use him again and refer him to others.

Arrived early and did a fantastic job.  Walked through everything, and provided a comprehensive written report.

The experience was good. They were very thorough. professional and responsive. 

He was very approachable and took time to explain what he was looking at and what he found - he took a lot of time to point out his findings in person and with the digital photos transferred to his laptop.  We had no idea what to expect from the home inspection process, but we walked away very well-informed and much more confident in understanding the major and minor issues with the home.  We strongly recommend Eric!

Eric has done two home inspections for me in the past month on two different houses that we've tried to buy. He is prompt, professional, knowledgeable, EXTREMELY THOROUGH! He prepares the report on site so at the end of the visit you have the entire inspection report in your hand (on a CD). He takes pictures, explains everything clearly and does an amazing job. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is considering buying a house.

We were having a townhouse built and were advised to employ a private home inspector, in addition to the builders inspector, as a way to protect ourselves and learn the mechanics of our home from a non-biased source prior to closing. After searching on the web for a licensed, and insured home inspector I came across Eric Smith of AHI. He was very helpful and professional from our first initial contact, he has very flexible hours and very reasonable prices. He advised me from the start that one should not shop for a home inspection based solely on price because an inspection should be considered an investment. He also serves as the Vice-President of The Maryland Association of Home Inspectors, which was a plus for me. Anyone can pay their dues, be sure to maintain proper licensing and become a member of any association, but to actually serve on the board and be Vice-President was very commendable in my opinion. I was quoted a price of $294.00 but he was having some sort of special n Townhomes so I received $20.00 dollars off, making my inspection price $274.00. He arrived at my new home ahead of schedule very organized and ready to work. He explained everything about my house in terms I could understand. He showed me how to check for leaks and cracks in the future and how to respond to them. He gave me a lot of suggestions and advice on how to save money on utilities , and a list of small inexpensive things I could do on my own as preventative measures. Although he found no major issues with our home, he took pictures of the small things he found and had arrows pointing to things of interest or concern. Along with each picture, was a detailed explanation and recommendations. At the end of my inspection he provided me with a burned disc copy of the report he used NO PAPER, which I saw as a huge convenience. I prefer computer files over printed paper any day! Also included on the report were a couple articles that he saw may be of interest to me. My total inspection took at 3.5 hours and I learned so much about my home and I cannot wait to move in.
