TIDEWATER ADJUSTING SVC

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! Our homeowners insurance  sent  Mr. Dave Klaes-the owner- to our home to view a severe mold problem we had in our house from a leaky pipe in our crawlspace. He made us wait to have anything done while he went on vacation-then he forced us to use his friends company for the mold cleanup even though I told him which company I wanted to use-he said he needed more than one estimate, and accepted his friends company's estimate without even seeing it-which was
more! We had to move out of our house while the cleanup took place and the company we were forced to use (Maryland Restoration) did get rid of the mold in the crawlspace but did a terrible job with everything else-they threw out ALL of our possessions without notifying us or letting us see what they were throwing out so we didn't even have a chance to salvage  anything-AND they stole things from us. (and this is just a couple of the things they did-I have a MUCH longer list!) Mr Klaes then adjusted the amount we paid for all the items on our list that were thrown out by his friends company to amounts he thought they were worth-which decreased the amount we got back from our insurance. Not sure how he could do this since the company he forced us to use didn't even document what they threw out-we had to make a list from memory-we still think of things that were down there that we didn't claim!  Both of these companies should be avoided! They are both sleazy and dishonest
