Things went pretty pretty well, considering the circumstances. They were nice to deal with and thorough. The only negative happened when their dehumidifier leaked on the floor it was supposed to be drying, thus increasing the drying time and the days that we didn't have access to out laundry machines, not to mention the extra electricity costs involved.

I wasn't very happy with their service. I felt like they had a lot of customers that had pipes that had froze and bursts so they came in and put fans in and feel like they really didn't do a very good job with my house. At the end of the day, they still ended up having to tear up all the drywall even though i feel like the fans would have dried it. They didn't even get my permission before ripping out the drywall. Just feel like they were too busy, that was the main issue. They had too many customers.

Everything worked out really well. They seemed okay. They were late a little bit sometimes. They had a good price. They were a few hundred dollars less than their competitors.

Jonathan was very thorough, he explained every step in the process. He explained what they did first and if something wasn't dry in a certain time what the next step would be, etc. They left dryers and fans so he explained when they would be back to check on the property. Everyone was very respectful. I asked them to come around to the back and they did without problem. They called when they were on their way and showed up. They were very professional. From what I understand from other people the price was pretty much in the ball park. I didn't have time to get a second estimate. They are based out of Miami and came up here.

Fish tank leaked about 15 gallons of water onto carpet. Called before 8:00 am. They told me it would be about $500 without any details as to what made up that number. Said they would do their best ("fight" was the word Mr. Ullon used) to keep that cost lower. Peeled back small area (about 35 sq ft) carpet, removed padding, sucked up excess water, sprayed some disinfectant, put in a fan, came back next day to install new padding and put the carpet back down. Did a light steam cleaning of area. Charged husband $640. Still did not have a breakdown of individual charges of what went into this cost. Was floored when I got home from business travel. Called right away and accused them of bait-and-switch because of the significant cost increase. Mr. Ullon just kept saying over and over and over "That's what we charge Mrs. ####. That's what we charge Mrs. ####." Additionally, they did not tack the carpet down very well and it is apparent it will not hold for very long. The next week Service Master offered to send a regional manager out. My spouse thought they would be calling him back to set up a time but never did. They also dropped the cleaning charge as a "courtesy". Responded to my Better Business Bureau complaint with complete lies. They indicated to the BBB that they itemized the services and charges on the phone before they started (they did NOT). They also said my husband "refused" to have a regional manager come out and quoted him as saying something like it was already done and nothing can help - he NEVER said that. They also said we never paid them but for some reason Service Master could not get our credit card to go through. They sent us an invoice where we finally saw the individual charges that included a whopping $200 for "Professional Carpet Installation" (remember this was about 35 sq ft and it was already there!), $115 for the light steam cleaning where they didn't even move furniture to do the whole room, and an equipment "maintenance charge" (what maintenance? Fan was there overnight and they came and got it the next day). They didn't even move fish tank back into room. I paid those items that I did not dispute and got a nasty letter a short time later saying they would turn my overdue bill of about $200 some over to a debt collector. I had to pay it under protest. I am a victim of their bait-and-switch tactics and the outrageous prices they can charge because their response is normally to an emergency for which homeowners submit and insurance claim. If they had been up front with me we would have just gotten new carpet for the room!!
