Flooring
We contracted with Home Depot for new Bruce Hardwood Floors. Home Depot's contractor (R & R Tile) performed the initial installation. We were pleased with the initial installation. Time frames were met and the work appeared OK. After several months, we noticed problems with the flooring (separation and drifting). After numerous visits (the original installer, independent inspector, Home Depot manager - twice) and calls to Home Depot (Germantown Home Depot store, Home Depot Atlanta Service Center, Home Depot CEO's office), it was determined that the flooring was improperly installed (non-staggered joints) and that the entire job would need to be redone. It was also revealed that although we selected Bruce hardwood flooring, this contractor is not a Bruce Certified installer (nor were the sub-contractors used for our installation). To date, the flooring has not been replaced.

TERRIBLE, terrible, terrible- they ripped it all out 2 1/2 times and could not get any of it installed properly. Installers unreliable, sloppy, seemed to have very little experience, if any, installing tile - or maybe they were just lousy installers.
