The total cost for the project was $31,900. Miguel was the highest of three bids that I had received, but he was also highly recommended by a friend who had hired him for a similar project. Miguel was also the best to deal with during the bidding process and clearly explained everything to me, which increased my confidence in him and ultimately led to me choosing him to complete the job. I am very happy that I chose him to complete the work. I had tight deadlines to meet as I needed the bulk of the work done before all of my belonging arrived from Chicago. The total project took 6 weeks to complete, and Miguel and his team was able to complete everything except the kitchen within the first two weeks, allowing me to complete my move on-time.



Throughout the project, Miguel was easy to work with, was willing to adapt to changes that I made, and ultimately ensured I was very happy with the final project. I could not have asked for a better kitchen. I would highly recommend Miguel and the Quality Fix and Build team for any project.

Miguel and his team are a highly efficient, quality group of professionals that have been a great pleasure to work with. We purchased an early 20th century rowhouse in Glover Park, DC, that had been neglected for years and was in serious need of updating. Miguel and his team got to work as soon as we took possession of the property and completed a great deal of work in a very short period of time (6 weeks). - Replaced the old sash windows with new Andersen models. - Refinished the original oak flooring, which had been seriously abused, including deep pitting, scrapes, stains and several areas which sagged badly. - Installed new floorboards, door and window trim. - Completely replaced all the aging galvanized plumbing in the house with commercial grade copper for supply and PVC for waste. - Retiled one of the bathrooms and installed new sink and toilet. - Repaired a lot of cracked plaster - Painted the entire interior of the house Miguel was extremely responsive, even during times which would normally be considered "after hours" including evenings and weekends. While the price for this work was obviously not trivial given its scope, we found his services to be extremely well priced, especially given the level of quality of the work which was performed. I am still amazed by how good the hardwood floors look compared to what they looked like when we bought the house. I would highly recommend Miguel's work to anyone looking for a responsive, professional contractor who takes a great deal of pride in his quality of work. We are currently planning on installing a gas fireplace with custom carpentry and remodeling our front porch, and are planning to engage Miguel for these projects as well.

Quality Fix and Built has just finished adding a large, gorgeous master bathroom to my house in place of a sitting room. Prior to that he finished my basement including adding a bathroom and laundry room. He screened in my porch adding lovely trim and detailing, built a stunning bookcase in my family room, and added wainscoting to 3 rooms. He is prompt with bids, very helpful choosing finishes, even going to stores to help with selections. He finished on time, his price is fair, he cleans up at the end of each day and does extraordinary work. He knows code and regulation, lines are straight, his subs are accountable, polite and careful. Miguel Mora presides over all work with a perfectionist's eye. He is polite, kind, ethical, and a fine craftsman. I'm a Realtor and I have referred him many, many times. To me he is invaluable, a jewel of a resource.
