 + -1 moreEXPLAINED THE SITUATION ABOVE, THEY CAME IN AND INSTALLED DISH, MODEM, ROUTER THAT i HAD TO BUY, AND 3 WEEKS LATER, AFTER HAVING ONE BAD PIECE OF SATTELITE DISH REPLACED, THE ROUTER IS CAUSING PROBLEMS AND i CANNOT REACH THE MAN THAT INSTALLED THE ROUTER, HE WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS. I CANNOT GET ONLINE AT ALL NOW, AFTER PAYING $70.00 FOR INSTALLATION OF ROUTER, AND $60.00 FOR THE ROUTER.
Description of Work: Hughes came out to install a satellite dish, modem and router, which I had to purchase on my own. One week later, a rep was out replacing a bad piece of equipment on the dish, 2 days later, something went wrong with the router I bought and I can't get online, or reach the man that installed all this equipment originally. My family needs the Internet, due to attorneys, doctors, etc, because of two special need boys. I have called the installer, who I paid $70.00 to install the router, and he won't return my calls. I paid $60.00 for the router, and can't get online without it. BUYER BEWARE!

 + -1 morewe tried hughesnet "free" 30 day trial. WE were unhappy with the product . we were kicked off the internet constantly. We had to fight to connect as well. When we finally called for assistance, we were told we overused our gigibits for the day! WHAT! All this money, and internet usuage isn't unlimited? Anyway, many things went wrong and they were not as happy to remove the product. Our FREE trial has cost us over $300.00 so far; and they want my husband to ship everything back at our expence, and we did. They told us to leave the stuff on the roof. We returned everything else.. Then our credit card was charged another $177.00 & they said they wanted the stuff off the roof too. (or there would be more charges) My husband is too old to get up there so we had to hire someone to do that. What a nightmare this has been. They misrepresented everything they possibly could ,and they did not disclose everthing up front. They refused to do anything but say,"its in the contract". But they tried like h*** to sell us something else to make it better. We had to fight and argue with them to cancel. We are still fighting with them. The customer service is non-exsistant, They can't and refuse to get the stuff they have installed working properly and then expect you to purchase more.. I would not recomend hughesnet to anyone ever!!
