Salesperson was arrogant, unprofessional & rude! Looks like quality stuff. But I would never give my $$$ to an ill-mannered, impolite salesperson. First impressions have lasting impacts!!

Terrible. Rich, the sales person who took the call was arrogant, rude, insulting, and sexist. I would never hire this company as long as Rich is the sales person. After hanging up, I realized he was the same person who came to my home a few years ago and gave an estimate and he was rude at that time. His bid was also way over what every one else proposed.

The owner answered the phone, looked up the job, and offered to order and install a replacement drawer and cabinet door AT NO CHARGE. I was amazed, fully prepared to shell out some dollars to replace the two pieces. The replacement was just complete a few moments ago, just a few weeks after I called. The kitchen cabinets are restored to their uniform whiteness. The courteous installer even had a small paint tube in his truck, and touched up some rub marks. As noted, I was very pleased with quality, price and installation the first time around, and hugely pleased this business valued my business enough to offer a free replacement and installation.

They were prompt, courteous, and completed the work on schedule. They made suggestions for increasing the available storage space (always a problem with the galley kitchens in a duplex).. The results were spectacular -- we had a brand new kitchen at well under the price we would have paid for replacement cabinets.

Their methodology is very good. They use master carpenters. They're not just guys they just hired 2 weeks ago. The owner is an engineer and assesses the job before the work begins. He had some really good ideas that we incorporated. They put in new drawers and re-faced my kitchen cabinets. The product is good quality. They used Amish doors for the cabinets. I was very pleased with this. They built a wood frame around each cabinet and attached the new doors on that frame. They didn't just use the existing mount. This is very important for quality, longevity, and stability. It looks like a brand new state of the art kitchen. I would use Kitchen Magic Refacers, Inc. again and recommend their service.

First, the installation itself was very good. No issues there. We did have significant issues with Kitchen Magic in the final week. My brother signed a contract with Kitchen Magic to complete the work stated above with a 1/3 down-payment and the rest to be financed at 0% for 12 months. The home was vacated in early July, as I worked (possessing my brother's full power-of-attorney) with contractors to complete pre-sale renovations. My brother moved 3 hours away in early July and planned to return when required. Kitchen Magic was unable to start the installation when they scheduled because of an employee illness - no issue there, it does happen and we were understanding and flexible. After the installation eventually began (July 29), after Mike, from the company determined that the installation MIGHT be completed on August 1st, Mike called me at work and stated that we must either come with cashier's or certified check for the balance due ... or get my brother to return that day to sign the 0% loan ... or their employee would "walk off the job right now". I told Mike that declaring an emergency was unnecessary as my brother could come up on Saturday and sign any paperwork necessary OR he could FedEx the paperwork to him, he would sign/notarize it and return it via FedEx and he would have it all by Wednesday ... and we would happily pay the Fedex costs. He refused to do anything via FedEx and reiterated that if we could not commit to getting my brother to drop everything and return to the worksite with payment-in-full before their employee left "today", he would have their employee "walk off the job right now". He then blamed the Federal Government, new credit laws and the rigorous requirements of the credit agency and that he "had been stiffed by a prior customer who did not pay". I reminded him that we had been very flexible with their schedule and they could be flexible for a couple days to get my brother to drive up to sign any paperwork ... it was just impossible to do it "today". I was unable to leave work, my brother could not leave and drive three hours ... so my wife took the remainder of the day off to get a bank check and get to the job site ... only to find that the installer was unable to finish that day anyway!!! Manufactured emergency … no need for a check and ½ day wasted. Okay ... I was not quick enough to remind him that we actually have a signed contract that states that they will do work and we will actually pay for it. There is no requirement that payment be made or paperwork be signed the very day that work is completed, especially when the job completion is indefinite. The fact that there is a contract actually DOES mean something to both parties and we did nothing at all to deserve this manufactured emergency. In the end, we seemed forced to skip the 12-month 0% financing, which, I suspect, was the reason they manufactured this emergency ... they benefit by receiving cash over credit. Oh … and they still have not deposited the 1/3 down-payment check they were given at contract signing on June 11th (today is August 14th). Recommendation: I would read your contract payment terms well in advance of signing the contract. Ensure that payment of any balance due is required by reasonable terms: 15 days or 30 days from project completion. If you cannot get reasonable contract payment terms that ensure they cannot create an emergency, do not do business with this company.

I just got off of the phone with Rick from Kitchen Magic Refacers, and I would never consider using this vendor.  Rick spent more time making sure that I knew that I didn't know what I was talking about and that he knew everything about us and our kitchen in a 5-minute phone call.
Even when I got past his arrogance and asked for an appointment for a quote, Rick refused to schedule one because my wife would not be present for the appointment.  When I said that I was happy for them that business was so good that they could say no to getting quotes, Rick replied that "business was very good".
I'm happy that Magic Kitchen Refacers can be so selective as to who their clients are.
You make your own judgement in dealing with them, this was just my limited interaction.

The sales visits were good, many options are available.  The representative brought everything possible to see in terms of door types, colors, construction, etc.   Very helpful and professional.
The purchase (sign the contract) was professional and quick.  NOTE - we were not told that we would have to acquire our own cabinet and drawer hardware (pulls, knobs, etc.).  It was not brought to our attention even though we had selected doors that would require these.  This notification could have been done and prevented a slight issue of misunderstanding between contract signing and installation.  This is the reason for the B grade in responsiveness.
Installation went well.  It was estimated to be a 5 day job, but it took 6 days to do.  This is the reason for the B grade in punctuality.  This was due to the size of the kitchen as well as some material not being in the original delivery.  I had additionally done some of the work prior to their arrival (removed all doors, drawers, and associated hardware).  I did this because I was saving all this for another use on my part.
We are happy with Kitchen Magic, through the entire process.  The small glitches of communication and the extra day were minor in the whole process.  We recommend them and all who see our "new" kitchen very much like the results.

We hired the contractor to demo the bulkhead and replace existing cabinets with larger versions.  After demolition started, contractor realized that the bulkhead would require substantial modifications to be removed, as it was structural load bearing. Contractor worked with us to redesign our plans to just perform cabinet and drawer replacement/refacing.  All went well from that point and the job was completed with professionalism and to our satisfaction.
