Fixed! Hvac Service

Excellent! I suspected my HVAV company was not totally honest when they kept telling me my older system was failing and either needed replaced or costly repairs. At the recommendation of a small business owner colleague who had a similar experience, I called John at FIXED! They came right away took gauge readings assesses the system and said it was operating within all normal ranges and was clean . A couple months later, they gave me fair and transparent estimates on what could be replaced and what’s not needed.

I knew John from my renting days - my landlord once worked with builders and always called him to fix her HVAC problems. John was always very nice, prompt, and would teach me what was going on, so when I moved into my own house, he was an easy choice. My new house had an awful condenser at the front of the house, visible from the street. I hated it and wanted to move it around the corner where it was less visible. I texted John for an estimate on Monday, and we scheduled for Thursday morning. When he arrived, he looked at my HVAC setup and told me that is was a mess - lots of disorganized, old parts. He said that he could move the condenser and that it would cost about $900 - likely not worth the cost. There were two options on how to do it: using existing parts, or buying new parts. Using existing parts would require more labor, and using new parts would cost more in parts, less in labor. He said both costs would be about the same, and in those situations, he always recommends to go with new parts. Finally, he informed me that my air conditioner was 17 years old and probably about to die. He said that instead of putting money into moving an old condenser and likely having to replace it, that I should just wait until this one dies and put the new condenser where I want it. John talked me out of business, and gave me what I believe to be honest advice with my best interest in mind. I have complete trust in John, and imagine anyone he hires works with the same integrity.

Working with Fixed! has been a great experience every time. My heater died on Tuesday (probably the coldest week of the year), and so I texted John asking if he could come out. John was extremely responsive (always texting back within 5 minutes) and was able to schedule me for Thursday morning. He sent out his associate Mike, who was a very nice guy. Mike quickly diagnosed my problem as being a dead condensate pump, which he replaced in about 10 minutes. After he replaced it, he made sure my heater was working properly and checked to be sure nothing else was failing. He didn't find anything, and he left. I was able to go to work on-time, which was an added bonus.

Great ! - John came out the same day and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem (a blown capacitor). John was totally professional and great to deal with. I would highly recommend him for future HVAC repairs or HVAC replacement

John the HVAC tech did an excellent job of tracking down and repairing the problem. I will definitely call him again for any future problems that crop up.

I did not actually use Fixed! for any service - I contacted him about installing electrodes on my oil furnace and he admitted that he would not be the man to do the job, since he does not specialize in oil furnace burners. He recommended a few other repairmen and offered to help if i couldn't find anyone that was available. He seemed like a really honest and helpful person.

John called the Friday prior to confirm our Monday morning appointment to install our new Trane Heating and Air Conditioning system.  He reviewed everything I could expect to have happen and said he would be there at 7:30am ready to go.  First of all, anyone I have ever hired to do work for us shows at 8am, HE wants to start at 7:30!...impressive in my book.   Monday morning arrived and so did John Hamblin…15 minutes early!!!  John was parked outside my house at 7:15am ready and waiting to start my install at 7:30 as promised.  My doorbell rang promptly at 7:30am….impressed yet again.  John and his sheet metal guy were polite, professional and extremely neat.  My old system was neatly dismantled and  hauled away and our new system was neatly put assembled with all wiring secured... if a new heating system could be considered a thing of beauty, I'd have one.  John finished the install around 1pm and promised to return with a years supply of filters and to double check that everything was working correctly. As it turned out, the fan in the heater was warped and quite loud, John came out, replaced the part, checked the system and said he would be back in April when the weather begins to warm to check on the A/C. John Hamblin is my heating and A/C guy, I will never use anyone else.  I give him the absolute highest recommendation possible.  If you need your current system serviced, or are in the market for a new system, he's your guy.  His prices are far better then the big name companies for name brand equipment.  We obtained estimates from Home Depot, Coastal, Michael & Sons, Arundel Heating & Air and Sears, John blew them all away.  He offered us better equipment for a much better price and you cannot beat his customer service.  Our new system has been installed for 2 months now and it is running beautifully.

Great!  Punctual, professional and very easy to work with.  The price was fair and he was very appreciative to be able to do the work.

Came within 24 hours prior to expected heat wave. Found and corrected problems related to improper installation of our A/C system by another company.
