Steve is a rare find. He's honest and charges a fair price for his work. I found Steve on a cold winter day when my furnace would not light and I was calling around for an igniter. Steve didn't have the part but he talked me through taking the side panel off of my furnace and lighting the furnace by hand.

I assume that they performed the service satisfactorily. However, they left no service report, saying that they would email it to me. Only after 3 weeks and 3 phone calls did I get a report simply stating that they checked the system and it was working properly. Any other HVAC contractor I have used left a report with hard data for the measurements they took, e.g. motor current draw, air temperature rise or drop.

The technician added coolant and cleaned the coils on the exterior unit. He explained things well and was professional.

This was done in an expert manner at a reasonable cost. This was an upgrade over the original system another company had installed that was not working very well. Steve has a very impressive knowledge of HVAC systems and I will continue to use this company to maintain the heating system.

Over the years, Steve has been helped install and maintain our heating and air conditioning system since the original 1967 Comfortaire unit was replaced a decade ago. Units selected were excellent value and reasonably efficient; gas units. A guest noticed that the unit fan seemed noisy and on inspection all checked out (related to the year built but not abnormal for that year). The humidifier that had not been operating the last year was checked and put back into operation. No more work was needed at this time and costs were reasonable. Steve's knowledge and judgement leads to advice I trust and is the first I call with questions or work that might be needed.

Steve Powell the owner of Uneeda, came out to give us an estimate for a replacement of our broken down A/C unit. While all other vendors were too busy focussing on traditional A/C unit, Steve was the first to point out that a Heat Pump would cost us just a little more up front but save us money in the long run. 
His price quotes were a little lower than the others but his knowledge and willingness to spend time in educating us to make the right decision outstripped the other contractors. His men Mitch and Eric were extremely diligent and worked hard to finish a great installation on the appointed day. We are looking forward to be serviced by Uneeda for as long as we own this home in North Potomac, MD.
