Worst customer service. I prepaid $1300 to refurbish my lawn. Service through the year was fine. When the money ran out from prepayment, I requested the service be stopped. TruGreen did two more service and tried to bill me for those service. I called customer service and they were of no assistance. The rep from the escalation team was downright rude. Wish I knew this before I dropped all that money from what I thought was reputable company. Never again.

Badly. What was supposed to be a first visit for $30 cost us $80. Never spoke to a real person about our situation and was scheduled by a robo-phone call for a third visit. No one ever responded to our request for a real person to evaluate our situation. Would never use this service again.

After three months, we cancelled the service because there was no noticeable reduction in the weed population and it certainly wasn't under control. While TruGreen did offer to come out and do a reapplication, it seemed like the just didn't have the right solution for our lawn. Adding another application of something that clearly wasn't working didn't seem like a good idea to me. They also repeatedly called to offer additional bug control services. I said I wasn't interested and asked to be removed from their calling list. They continued to call me (about once every two weeks). When I told the rep that I had a bug control solution, they got very pushy and argumentative, trying to get me to switch. This was the final straw and I decided to terminate my contract with TruGreen.

They come out 5 or 6 times a year. They are pretty good. I've been dealing with them for over 20 years, so I don't know anybody else's price. I'm a sucker. If they do a good job, I don't really shop around any more. It isn't cheaper, but if it makes it better, it's cheaper. My grass is clean. They are on their own time scale. I never call them. They just come out. They come out because they are on a schedule. They are on scheduled treatments. I get 6 treatments a year. I don't call. It's just scheduled. They do a couple in the Spring, a couple in the Summer and a couple in the Fall. They are prompt. I don't have to call them and say, "Where you at?" They come and get the money. I don't have to call them. They call me. They are on a contract. We just agree to continue the contract and there's no calls made unless they want to sell another service, and I never accept. We don't even talk. They just come out. It's just scheduled maintenance. They know what time of year it is for different treatments and they do it. They come when they are supposed to. I haven't had a need for other services. They are good. They only use chemicals. I don't have a landscaper person. I never know they are on there until they leave the sign. Even when they do the granules, I never see them. My first impression is that I thought they were professional. They said they would thicken the grass. They thickened it. It's thick and healthy. I don't have weeds.

There are a lot of farms around here, so we use them to spray our lawn and trees. I have been using them since 1971. They are environmentally conscious. There were a couple of times when my yard was not covered properly. Each time I called the company, and they immediately sent someone out to fix it. The company is very respectful. They have maintained my property for over 50 years, and they keep it  beautiful.

Scott's billed me for applying Grubex to my lawn even though I told both the salesman and the technician that I didn't want the Grubex treatment and even though no Grubex treatment was in fact done. I complained about the charge to Scott's and was told it would be removed. A month later, Trugreen's automatic phone line informed me that I owed $80 for a Grubex treatment and for a July lawn treatment which I had already paid for. I called up Trugreen and explained that these two charges were mistakes, and I cancelled any future services. Then today (about 4 or 5 days later), I received a bill from Trugreen saying that my account was past due, and I owed them $80 for Grubex and July treatments. I also received a letter thanking me for signing up for fall aeration and seeding. The incompetence of Trugreen's billing department is infuriating. Unless you enjoy being aggravated, I recommend you stay away from this company. Unless you like aggravation, I recommend you stay away from this company.

I signed up for a one year treatment plan and I have more weeds now than when I started.
I sent trugreen pictures of the issues and yet they still never sent a tech out to reapply weed killer which was promised.  Of course they make great promises when you are buying the service about multiple applications.
And once they sell you the service your local contact is gone and you must deal with Corporate Trugreen.  This means waiting on hold for 15 minutes every time you try to call them.
Please do yourself and your wallet a favor and stay away from this company.

The service gets an A but the company gets a C.  They called me saying they wouldn't come for 2 weeks but the next day they showed up.  Their communication in the company could be better.

The people, that I work with, are excellent. The one thing, that I have a problem with, is the billing and customer service. This occurs at the corporate level and there's a clearly a disconnect between them and the service people.

TruGreen sells on having a custom program for every customer.  I didn't find this to be the case.  The first time they came, they just started spreading chemicals without even looking at the needs of my yard.  For what it's worth, whatever they did worked as the number of weeds diminished.  This year, I saw that the weeds had returned in force and decided to cancel since their one size fits all approach didn't work.
Also hired them to treat my trees and shrubs for insects, but they only do small trees; not the larger ones that I have throughout my yard.

We contracted last year (2014) with Trugreen for an annual contract for lawn care - fertilizer, weed control, fall airating and re-seeding, and Trugreen took care of the schedule.  Usually treatments were about once per month.  The salesman discussed with us that we had a lot of violets and henbit, and that if a weed control application did not take care of them, Trugreen would do another one or even two applications for free.  Last summer went okay, the henbit was gone but the violets were not, but we did not complain or request additional applications.  This summer, 2015, our neighbor (who had also contracted with Trugreen) pointed out that if we did not get rid of our violets, HIS violets would return.  So in July, we asked Trugreen to make an additional weed application.  They arrived right as dark thunderclouds formed, and despite my telling them that there would probably be a heavy rain very soon, they applied the weed killer anyway.  It rained heavily 10 minutes later.  I telephoned to say that the application was washed out, and they came back in a week to apply another treatment of weed killer.
Two weeks later, we got a bill for $110 for the two treatments ($55 each).   I called to say that these were supposed to be free - the first one was the follow-up to the regular one that didn't kill the violets, and the second one was because the "free" one got immediately washed out.   I was told by the person on the phone that these treatments were not free.
I made many phone calls to customer service who insisted that we owed them $110.    I said we would cancel our relationship with Trugreen if they did not keep their guarantee made when we signed up in 2014.  They said fine.  We cancelled.  They continue to harass us, sometimes with phone calls at 1 am, for their money.    We feel that Trugreen's customer service is terrible; they don't keep their promises; and they certainly do not keep their customers.
BTW, there are still weeds in the lawn.

Fast, friendly, and on time. Results of the service are still pending as there has not been enough time to let the spray do its job.

The service is going well. They're doing a good job so far. We do not always see them. There seems to be somebody who comes out each time but it's not always the same person. It's a year long process. They have a schedule that they do things certain months of the year. You can call them if something needs to be done. But, we haven't had to do that. We get an automated phone call when they're going to be coming. It also is subject to weather.
