Home Security System Service
A sales representative who later identified himself as Torrin Winmill showed up unsolicited at my door when I happened to be home. He seemed to know that I was a former customer of Pinnacle Security who had been switched to another provider, in my case ADT. He presidented himself as representing Honeywell ? he was wearing a short bearing Honeywell and GE logos ? and said that as a former Pinnacle customer I was due a new alarm system at no charge.
I had to tease out of him the not inconsequential detail that accepting a new alarm system "at no charge" would involve being switched to a new monitoring company at a higher charge than my current monthly monitoring rate. He also pushed hard for an immediate decision ? even initially refusing to leave a brochure that I could look at. I made clear to him that I believed that he was misleading, that I would not buy a security service from someone walking off the street representing a company I knew nothing about, and decided not to proceed further.
This is the second time a person showed up unannounced at my front door in an effort to sell me security services in a high-pressure manner (he first was Vivint, which has been sanctioned for deceptive, high-pressure sales tactics in several states, in turns out), with the come-on that they are offering to upgrade my equipment without saying up front who they really are and what they really intend ? to sell me a more expensive security package.

Home Security System Service
It was a free service to install and the equipment was free. It was $52.99 a month for the service. We also bought a Neck Monitor for my husband that was $49.00.
We just recently had the alarm system put in from Security Network INC. When they were telling us their sales pitch, they said that the FCC changed the regulations to not hook up the systems to a phone line. But, I found out that that wasn't true. Initially that's why we bought the system in the first place. They told me that someone could cut the phone line, which would make the alarms system not work. They also said they would write a letter to my previous alarm company signifying that my account with them was going to be canceled. Well, my old company never got the letter. They called me asking me why my system was shut off, because they were trying to do the monthly checkup that the alarm was working and thats when I told them that i switched providers and was wondering why they never got the letter.
I do not trust this company anymore and I am trying to get a old of them so that I can get out of my 5 year contract.
