Great company. I recently joined angie's list and am going out of my way to write this note because I think it is well deserved... I have used rod miller for the past few years on my heating and cooling needs. They have replaced an AC unit, a humidifier, and a circuit board on my furnace. Their guys speak English. Their guys are nice. There guys go in clean. There are no hidden costs or surprises when they're done.  They tell you what's up with what's wrong and the price before they do the work. Their service manager, Dave Oristian I think his name was, very efficient. As the owner of a couple of old houses, you need a regular go-to HVAC guy. They are it. Thanks.

Installation went well. The Rod Miller crew included Andrew, Patrick, and Fransico. They were very professional and completed the installation on time. Gas pipe and electrical wiring was extended so the furnace could be rotated and utilized existing PVC piping for the furnace flue. Work also included all sheet-metal, wiring and piping necessary to complete the installation. The old equipment and debris was removed. All work area was clean upon the completion of the installation.

Service person arrived late, after having missed a four-hour window. He was obviously in a hurry, and went through the inspection very quickly. I'd specifically chosen this company because we have a Nest, and I wanted the inspector to look at the thermostat to make sure it was set up correctly.  He looked it over very quickly and said it was correct, but couldn't explain to me why the electric heat pump is set to "dual fuel."  It didn't leave me with a lot of confidence.
That said, the technician did seem to know his stuff. I might use them again if we replace our HVAC unit, but I don't think I'd use them for small tasks.

Rich was on time and very professional. Rich tested the system and found a crack in the exhaust drain. Leaving water on the inducer causing it to seize up due to age and condition. Rich provided us with serveral options. We could repair the 19 year old system for $1,125.00 or replaced the furnace. We decided to replace the HVAC system, since both the air condition and the furnace was purchased at the same time 19 years ago. We also decided to use Rod Miller for the new HVAC install and schedule an appointment.

We had a 12 to 4 window, and the technician arrived at 1pm.  He assessed the problem and fixed it within an hour.  He was polite and friendly and explained his repairs, and was good natured about having to climb through a skylight to access the AC unit.  We had a coupon for the service visit, and while the equipment seemed a bit on the expensive side, we were happy with the results.  We will likely call them again for future HVAC problems.

In certain places they were excellent.

They definitely did some problem solving that was beyond the normal realm of service.

We did have a billing issue where they sent me a bill as if I hadn't paid them. Once I called they fixed that right away, though we did have some issues with responsiveness.

We like them. They are good. They have been regularly servicing our furnace every year for a very reasonable price. They kept it running past well as you we have expected. We have recommended them to others who have been apparently satisfied as well. They don’t give you an exact time when they come.

Some switch in my gas furnace was stuck and would not allow the furnace to ignite. The technician "unstuck" it. Its been working ever since. The tech indicated that if it happens again, I should get a new one. The furnace is 10yrs. old. The Technician was "TEDDY;" a very honest man. He's great.

My tenants said the thermostat wasnt responding and the radiator heat was constantly either on or off.  Rod Miller company, who we had used before,  came to assess the situation and needed to come back with the right equip to fix it. When they did the job, they replaced an aquastat and had to run a wire to the thermostat. They asked permission to cut a hole in the ceiling to run the line. We said fine. They ran the line. It works and the tenants are happy.  $920 seems a tad high to me, but of course its all a foreign language to me so what do I know. They did say they needed 2 people to run the line and only charged me for one.
