I enjoyed working with Rod Miller and would recommend it to others. There are several elements of their work which impressed me. They were incredibly punctual; indeed, they showed up early each day. They finished the project a day earlier than anticipated. The men who installed the air conditioning system were professionals and I trusted them to do a top-notch job. Rod Miller certainly won't be the cheapest option, but I felt that the comfort of having this done right outweighed the savings of having this done cheaper. The system has worked wonderfully since it was installed.

I had four companies come in to check my heating/air unit. After a cost of $100 for the visit, I was told that while I could have it repaired, I should really consider replacing the unit, because of its 10+ years of age. They told me it would just be a matter of time before it broke down completely. Thinking I needed to replace it, I called in two more companies, everyone emphasized the age of the unit and the tax break that I would receive should I decide to replace my old unit with a more energy efficient one. I was looking at a $5-$10k cost. That being the case I really wanted to investigate the best units and the companies to install it (hence talking to so many people). After the initial three companies a neighbor recommended Rod Miller. I called, telling them I wanted to buy a new unit. They came in to sell me a new unit, but after asking what I already had, asked if they could look at it (at no charge). After 5 minutes I was told that it could be easily repaired, and that in its day, my Carrier unit was one of the best around. They recommended that I repair it AND get it out of my head that it was going to break down again anytime soon. Which is what I did, and it has been working perfectly ever since. They also recommended a service agreement, but were very upfront about the limits of the additional fee for parts replacements. I found them to be extremely honest and helpful, and truly looking out for me. I hope they continue to maintain their high level of integrity, it is what will keep customers coming back.

We've had a service contract with Rod Miller for a number of years, and use them for our routine maintenance. On one of the hottest days of the year, and a Sunday to boot, our A/C went on the fritz. We opted to pay the weekend premium and have someone come out to do the repair that day. They showed up when expected and repaired the compressor. We gladly paid for the labor and part and premum for a Sunday visit. Two weeks later we unexpectedly got a greatly-reduced new bill in the mail with our orginal uncashed check returned. With no prompting from us, they had re-examined our service contract and determined that the part and basic labor were covered by the contract, so had reduced the bill. Not only do they do quality work, but they have displayed commendable integrity and business honesty.

The company ordered the wrong size filter for the electrical heating unit upstairs and took several weeks to correct that problem. On the third visit, the technicians were very nice, but after replacing the filter in the electric heating unit and leaving, the upstairs started to get cold. The next morning, I realized that the upstairs heat was not working at all. I called the company and asked them to send someone out (it was a Friday. midday) and the earliest appointment they offered was on the following Monday, despite the fact that it was extremely cold and the unit was working fine until they replaced the filter. I emailed the company president, VP, and sales manager to request that they send someone that same day, but no one responded to the email.

Rod Miller Incorporated has been very dependable and reasonable. For the most part, the servicemen have done good work. One time, though, the serviceman didn't even go on the roof, so I know he couldn't have checked the air conditioner because it's on the roof. I had to argue with the company to get the destination fee refunded that time.

Rod Miller is very professional, confident and friendly. They are always on time and they do a good, quality work. I think their prices are always fair as well. I am keeping them around for good.

I think Rod Miller's prices are high as I pay 462 for the annual contract every year which to me is pretty high but with that contract it allows them to come out every season to check the units. The crew was polite and seemed to do what they were supposed to do because everything is working fine.

They were well coordinated. They knew what they were doing and everything seems to be working fine now. I will definitely keep them around for future use. This is the perfect heating and air company for anyone and I am pretty sure they can solve any one's problem.

I have been using this company for years for service contracts I have had for both of my heat pumps. They recently suggested that I replace one unit and gave me a price. After checking several other companies (including many on Angie's List), I got a much better price elsewhere and advised Ron that I wanted them to do the job, but their price was 35% higher than another company. I hired the other company and repeatedly tried to call Roz, the service manager at Rod Miller, to get my service contract adjusted to include the new system. They gave me much difficulty and when I finally just asked for a refund on the unused balance, they offered only 50% even though the contract was renewed on March 30 of this year and I have 9 months remaining on it. I thought they might be considerate and give several percent more, but I quickly accepted the loss and am now awaiting a call on WHEN I might expect my refund. Incidentally, the new company gave me a much better deal on a new service contract!
