They had to take care of the whole door frame for the new storm door and a new wooden door. They were the best deal. They seemed to be a good company. I would recommend them. The only thing I didn't like about them is, they put a whole new door frame in with a door and before they would guarantee it for several years, it required that I buy a storm door also. I went along with it. But, I just didn't like that idea that you had to buy something additional in order to accommodate the door that we bought. That's the only issue I had with them.

Worked all day to resolve problems associated with the fit of the screen doors on an exterior porch and made sure that everything was properly taken care of.

Called for apt. and had the representative come out within a few days. He was very prompt coming for the apt., measured the doors, explained thoroughly the steps that would follow. I was estimated a time frame that the job would start, which was right on. The workers were punctual and very courteous. They removed the old doors and replaced with the new sliding glass doors. They were done within a few hours. Before they left they cleaned up and left the area spotless. Great job!

Everything with this project went very well. The salesman was very friendly and professional and not pushy. The price was among the lowest we encountered, and the windows themselves had good specifications. We had 5 contractors submit quotes, and it was clear right away that Rockville Windows and Doors was one of the two worth considering. After signing our contract, someone came out to measure our windows and door and then 6 weeks later, they arrived at their warehouse - which was within the 4-6 week window we had been promised.
The install went very well. Three installers installed the 8 windows and door over two days. They took their time and were careful not to damage our walls and put protection down over our flooring. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of both days. At the end of the install, the lead installer pointed out that there was a manufacturer problem with our screen and they'd have to order a new handle. I thought it was great that he was pointing this out to me rather than the other way around. While touring their work, I noticed some very minor wall damage around 1 of the windows. He agreed and said they'd repair this when they returned with the screen handle.
Roughly a week later someone returned and he took care of the mark on the wall to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication about the screen part that was needed so he could not fix that. Honestly, I did not mind - I only wanted the screen to be correct for resale purposes, not because I felt screen doors needed a lock. He said he'd return with the correct part once they received it. While the technician was there I pointed out two issues I had not initially noticed. His response was apologetic and professional. He agree to fix both - even though one required ordering a new window sash. No arguing or anything - just great service.
On their final trip out, the final items were all addressed as expected. Again, the technician was friendly, professional, and took his time. Just really great service. I included my story about these minor issues so that should you have problems with the products or install, you can probably count on the company to be easy to work with.
I would summarize Rockville Window and Door as providing a great product, with great service, and at a great price. Every time I had a concern, it was addressed without argument or issue. And the new windows and door look great. I just got my June energy bill in and I saved roughly 20-25% compared to last June with these new windows. Eventually, the savings really will pay for this project, and in the mean time, I will get to enjoy the look and comfort from our new windows.

Kevin came to the house promptly and took measurements and outlined the procedure from beginning to end. When the doors arrived they immediately called and set the appt. The workers were prompt. Did a GREAT DOOR! Very happy with my doors and the whole experience.

Overall I am very happy with the experience I had with Rockville Door and Window. Peter Lukacs was able to provide a quote for exactly what we were looking for in our new door, and stayed in contact with us the whole time. Because of the custom door order we made there was a nearly two month wait. Once the door came in we were immediately contacted and scheduled the installation. The crew that performed the work was arrived promptly in the morning and had the old door removed and the new one installed in nearly no time.

Everyone with whom we worked from Rockville Window and Door Co was very professional and reliable. Our saleman, Kevin Cavanagh, worked with us to help us get a door within our budget. The sales, measuring, and installation staff all arrived when scheduled. The installation crew did a wonderful job and installed the new door in about 4 hours.

Overall, the service was outstanding.
The estimator provided a clear, concise description of the work, which was to occur over a 3-day period.
The installers arrived on time and performed the tasks within estimated timeline. They worked efficiently with little interruptions.
They were neat and cleaned up afterward, including outside and inside packaging materials, scraps, personal items (lunch/drinks) as well as ensuring the caulking was finished neatly and precisely.
One of the window frames was broken in transport, so they installed it without the caulking until the replacement came (about 1 week because all of the windows were special ordered because of the height), once it arrived, they contacted me immediately to schedule a follow-up appointment to installed the new window, complete with caulking.

What I especially liked was that the Project Manager (who happened to be one of the owners) came by every day to ensure the workers were on point, that the job was being performed well and and to see if I had any questions. You could also see that he got along with his crew.

There were no surprises and the job performed and materials were outstanding.

They replaced 10 windows in my home. I was happy with their service, especially the quality. I was however, a bit disappointed in their responsiveness. I would possible use them again.

The company installed new windows on our 60+ year old colonial, which still had original windows. We chose this company after getting bids from two additional companies (Champions, which we thought was too expensive, and Unicorp, which also had good reviews, but for whose bid and choice of two types of windows we found too confusing--the salesperson was too convoluted.) Rockville Window and Door salesrep was brief, direct and to the point. He provided the bid and estimate as he had promised. The crew came to install the windows when they said they would. They replaced the 13 windows in one day, as estimated, and did a thorough clean up job outside and inside. The did all this work during that winter's coldspell, and worked in 25 degree weather.

The Rockville sales rep showed us two types of vinyl windows to chose from, and we selected the one he said is usually used in houses (the other window was a cheaper window for and quot;rentaland quot; places.) I no longer recall, but I don't think he showed us the full window, but only a section of it, which looked fine. However, I must admit, now that the windows are installed, I think they look a bit cheap, and I wonder how long they will last. Maybe that's the case with all vinyl windows. But, we've had them installed for a year now, and they've been fine. They're definitely better at retaining heat than our original windows were.

Happy with their estimate, helpfulness in the store demonstrating their products, and quality of their work.

Very well, we have a high quality replacement door that was installed on budget and on time. May not be the quality of Anderson/Pella, but suits the age and price point for the house.

Kevin Cavanagh made the initial visit to my town house in Gaithersburg to look at my project and to explain everything I needed to know about both the new doors and the process of installing them. I was getting several estimates to install Provia doors, and Rockville Window and Door came in $500 below a rather pushy company from VA. In addition to the cost savings, I liked the idea of doing business with a local company.

Kevin answered every question I had and was very prompt at leaving the contract for me inside my front door. As soon as my doors came in, installation was scheduled exactly when I wanted it.

The first of two installers arrived on time but had brought only one of the doors with him. Fortunately, his partner arrived soon with the other door. Both Aref and James worked steadily and carefully to make sure that both doors fit perfectly and worked correctly. They completed the job in exactly four hours--precisely the time frame I was told it would take.

My new doors look great, and every neighbor who has wandered by has stopped to comment on how nice they look. They really do brighten up the front of my house, and I just love how solid and well made they are. I especially like the fact that, this winter, I will have a storm door that does not have internal streaks and drips that I could never clean (which plagued my old door because of the broken seal between the glass panes).

I was very pleased with Rockville Window and Door's service and attention to detail in every aspect of the transaction. If I ever move into another house that needs new doors, I will definitely choose Rockville Window and Door to do the work.

Rebate for no lead after professional testing received. Can't wait to save money after very cold weather conditions this winter. Make sure to get correct warranty information.

I had never used this company before. I got their name from Angie's List, and I compared them with several other companies. They were the best of the companies. They were very professional about their work. They measured the door three different times to make sure the work was right. I had a problem with the frame, and they kept coming back to make sure the work was done right. I am really happy with them. Their thoroughness and professionalism stand out. They knew what they were doing.

Couldn't have been easier. Salesman came immediately to view site, brought demo units. Measured carefully inside and out, made recommendation, left detailed literature and promised estimate, which we had within a day or two. Estimate was clear and precise. We mailed 1/3 deposit for work to proceed and got a receipt. Company called to schedule installer visit to measure again and identify any potential problems (there were none). He arrived promptly and took care of business. A couple of weeks later they received the window unit and called to schedule installation immediately. The installation crew arrived on time, were friendly and courteous and cleaned up perfectly afterwards. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional and delivered exactly what they promised. Sales manager Peter Lukacs is always my first call for anything to do with doors and windows.
