"Thank you for the glowing review! We are proud to bring “best in class” service to our clients. It is interesting to note that one of our Angie’s List A rated competitors contracted for this kitchen expansión and remodeling project in April 2020. The entire job should have taken no more than 6 weeks. After more than 3.5 mounts, not only did that company abandon the client, but left them with a disaster. The client hired a licensed home inspection company to provide them with a written report which identified and documented all of the issues including numerous code violations. We used the original agreement and design plans along side of the report and without making any promises that the final outcome would be exactly what they expected (due to the horrendously bad work) delivered a final result anyone would be proud of. During a time when most people would come unglued, this couple maintained their composure and were delightful to work for. Thank you again for taking the time to write this review and to allow us to help get you back into your own home. Alan Stevens"
"ANOTHER SCORE! Wonderful client! One of the best. The management Premier HomePro"
"Fantastic! We are extremely pleased that everything went as well as it did. The teams really enjoyed your delightful dispositions and all of the time they spent interacting with you. We can't wait for the next investment property so let's get this one sold and get things moving. Jan Stevens Managing Partner Premier Homepro"
"Our staff is the BEST in the industry and we are very proud of this review. We could not thank this client more for their good nature and communication style. Paul and crew are just one of the top teams 10 teams here at Premier Homepro. Thank you for taking the time to write this wonderful review. Jan Stevens, Managing Partner, Premier Homepro."
"Thank you so very much for the wonderful review. I appreciated the fact that you called me back to let us know that the check was incorrect and you owed us an additional $600! WOW, a great review and an honest person all in the same package. Its great to meet wonderful people like YOU. Looking forward to the next project in your home. Jan Stevens"
"Thank you for the nice review. Premier HomePro!"
"WOW! What a great review. Thank you so very much for the kind words.. Yours was a long and involved process that took great planning and implementation. I am really happy that you love the outcome. Its always comforting to know that our clients remain extremely happy with the service they receive from start to finish. Premier HomePro"
"One of our best clients yet! Yes, we are very pleased to have done this job. From the first meeting to the close of work, we really enjoyed our time with the client. In fact, we had one (1) remaining issue to replace - a cabinet door came in damaged. Once it was ordered and delivered, we installed it and she not was not only ecstatic but immediately gave us a referral. The job is not done until it is 100% done. We always tell our clients that they have to love us at the end of the project as much as they like us at the onset. The most important aspect is completing the job 100%. No one remembers the 95% that a contractor did correctly if the last 5% is not complete. We ALL want to be treated with dignity and respect and more importantly, we want to receive what we were promised. ALL WE ASK of our clients is to be nice, communicate effectively (construction is a little invasive) and we will deliver. Nice people get more! Premier HomePro"
"WOW! What an amazing review. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH. Its not easy to find a clients as great as this couple. We were pleased to immediately strike common ground in the first interview and went right to work getting our architect, kitchen and bathroom designer to work, then got the structural engineer and sub contractors (plumbing, HVAC and Electrical) involved. What started out great ended up even better then anyone anticipated. This house shines from top to bottom. We finished on time and just a tad over budget due to some unanticipated termite damage. All in all, everyone was thrilled that there were not any additional challenges. Old houses often have hidden conditions that lead to unforeseen and unanticipated work. In this case, it only put us behind schedule for a few days but we picked up the pace on the rest of the job and still finished by our contract due date. (We actually finished three days early ;-) We love great clients and have a saying at Premier HomePro, "Nice People Get More"! Now that their home is completed, we plan to host their open house to show off all of the new finishes. Maybe if you catch us in time, you too will get an invitation! Best always, the staff at Premier HomePro."
"It seems we get lots of A ratings from people in unfortunate situations. This is due to the fact that people call us all the time with some sort of disaster and we act promptly and do not take advantage of them. Among all the factors that cause us to respond to a client's calls, some are wants and some are needs and some are emergencies. In this case, the client listed his home and the day the listing went live, he had a pipe burst. We rapidly came to his aid and solved the problem. I darn near gave him the deal of a lifetime and did it all long distance. He had already moved out of the property and moved to Texas. I [Member Name Removed] take straight "A" ratings and a "B" for price any day of the week. We have a saying, "The sweet taste of low price is soon forgotten when the work is incomplete or unsatisfactory". In our business, people do not really understand the sheer cost of the overhead. Our employees have to live in the DC area too. In order to have the best, we have to be competitive in the wage we pay. We have skilled tradesmen who do their jobs and do them right. We really appreciate the great review."
"Dear Client: We are truly pleased to have received this wonderful rating and will be back in touch for phase two of your remodeling project in the new year. Thank you again for your business, time and consideration. The staff of Premier HomePro"
Premier Home Pro did a fantastic job and I will use them again in the future for other projects.
"We enjoy both the large and the small jobs. This client had a shower that needed to be regrouted and we were happy to do it in a day! Glad you appreciated the work. Thank you for the "A" rating. Alan Stevens, President, Premier HomePro"
When I first met with Brian Matthews, and his son Derek Matthews, there was an immediate rapport between us and trust was quickly established. I don?t have much of a sense of design and I sometimes find it difficult to explain what I want done. Brian and Derek were very helpful in interpreting my ideas and turning them into a plan.
Now, I am very much a creature of habit, and I hate my routine being interrupted, so when I decide to have construction work done, it takes a lot of convincing ? mostly by me. In my experience, construction work always takes longer to complete than anyone plans for, and this experience was no exception. I know everyone would like to have work completed in a couple of days, but that?s just not realistic. I had a lot of work done, which I had been putting off for years, and I knew my condo would be in a construction flux for an extended period of time. I?ll admit that after the first week, I wanted it to be over so I could get back into my daily routine. But ultimately, I persevered and maintained my sanity throughout and I?m very happy that I decided to have all of this work completed.
I would recommend Premier HomePro without any hesitation.
"Premier HomePro was pleased to do two jobs for this client. Our dedication to doing it right the first time gave us the second opportunity and we are thrilled that it turned out to their satisfaction. Thank you for the overall "A" rating. From all of us at Premier Home Pro, THANK YOU for allowing us into your home. We hope you enjoy our work for years to come. The staff at Premier HomePro!"
Throughout the course of the project, Brian and Derek were extremely responsive and professional. They were on site every day and would give us updates about how the work was going on a regular basis. When things came up that were unexpected (such as having HVAC vents running through the wall that we wanted knocked down), they met us at the house and made sure that we understood what the issue was and gave us options for dealing with it. And when the arch didn't end up exactly as we had hoped, Brian and Derek were quick to fix the issue. They both made sure that we were 100% happy with the final product, which we really appreciate. We plan on hiring these guys again for future renovations to our house and will be recommending them to our friends and family.
"The best thing the president of a company can learn is that their clients are not just happy, but raving fans. Brian Matthews and his son Derek are two of our top team members and we are so very proud of their work. This client was really a pleasure to work with. As many of us know, it takes two parties to make a project a success. It takes a great contractor and a client willing to understand that remodeling may sometimes really upset the natural balance of the home they are living in, It's not all just like HGTV where light hearted people seem to come and go and everyone is 99% smiles all the time. What it really takes is the willingness to be exceptionally nice, easy to get along with and do it all knowing that the end result will be magnificent. ' Thank you for this amzaing blessing, We can't wait to start your next remodeling job!"
"I love to help people. Too often today, true customer service is lost in automated answering systems, unknowledgeable customer service reps and folks who are only out to make a buck. Call me anytime on my cell phone if you have a question about home remodeling and I will be happy to answer it for free. In the case of this call-in, this client had a home inspection on a home she was trying to purchase. The inspector told her her roof trusses were sagging because the manufacturer had left out the support structure. In fact, the home inspector did not realize (or know - even worse) that the roof had large rafters in it and no support bracing was necessary. In fact, the only problem was that they sagged a bit from being installed upside down. Each board has a natural curve on one edge or the other that should always be placed upwards when installed in a roof or on the floor. That way, the weight being placed on it levels it out. If installed with the curve down, the board continues to bow and the curve is accentuated. That being said, in her case the roof looked like it was sagging from the exterior. Unskilled and uneducated carpenters do not know this trick and too often these days walls and roofs sag. It is not really a structural defect, but does create sagging finishes. After she described her problem, I had her send me the inspection report, looked it over and gave her a few very helpful tips which made her morning complete and relieved her concerns about her upcoming purchase. Ironically, home inspectors are often not wiz kids and do not have true construction experience therefore, as is often the case, make erroneous statements when doing the pre sale inspection. I have to say, I get a certain level of satisfaction giving out free advice. Pay it forward and the blessings pour in from the universe. I hope more people see the value of giving me a call for free advice. I can be reached at 240 223 7034. Alan Stevens, President, Premier HomePro. The project involved putting in an egress window with drain system and pipes going through to my sump pump, moving a wall with plumbing, hvac and electric, sound proofing and new ceiling, framing a bedroom and kitchen, putting in new cabinets, granite countertops, laying new flooring, carpeting and framing out stairs, putting in access door for storage, running cable and phone lines, putting additional heating in wall, new lighting, new doors and painting walls and stairway. The contractor, Brian Matthews was very easy to work with and flexible when I requested some changes or modifications. He offered up some suggestions that I hadn't thought of. Living in an older house there are usually some surprises or unanticipated problems - so when they came up Brian handled them quite smoothly and without much adjustment or sometimes none to my total bill. There was no nickel and diming which I have run into with other companies. He paid alot of attention to detail and gave me some things that I didn't expect. His men were knowledgeable, respectful and hard working and have all been with him for many years. They also cleaned up everyday when they were done.
The renovation turned out better than I expected. I now have a very comfortable, modern apartment with beautiful floors, cabinets and granite countertops. I would not hesitate to hire Premier Home Pro for any future renovations.
"One of the best comments any contractor can have is when a Member post that the job turned out "BETTER THAN EXPECTED!" We are so pleased this member is not only happy with the work we did in her house but that she took the time to fill out a review for Premier HomePro. Premier HomePro was established in 2005. We learned about Angie's List in 2008 and received our first Angie's List "Super Service Award" in 2010. Since receiving that first award, which places the company in the top 5% of all companies in the country, we have earned it 5 of the past 6 years. We believe in providing our clients with exceptional customer service, award winning design and installation at a competitive price. We believe that in a time when great customer service is often a thing of the past, we try to raise the bar to new heights. If you or anyone you know is in the market for any type of remodeling, an addition or simply an electrical upgrade or a bathroom redone, Premier HomePro is at the top of our game and a leader in the DC market! Please feel free to call directly to the top and speak with me, Alan Stevens, President of Premier HomePro for a free telephone consultation and evaluation. "We are so pleased to end 2015 with this great review! Thank you for your business and for the opportunity to work in your home."
Besides they did a top notch job on patching some leaks in our roof and do some drywall work. They also did a great job installing a new gas fireplace. He was able to identify that we would be better off with a "ventless" unit, that was also a big help.
Great work, nice guy, very reasonable. Give him a call and you wont be disappointed!!!

"THANK YOU FOR SUCH A FINE REVIEW! Yes, your basement did have a bit of a swampy smell when we arrived and the problem became obvious when we investigated it. The other issues you listed were quickly addressed and we are so pleased that you are happy with the final results of our endeavors,. I'd like to take this opportunity to expound a little about out company and our philosophy, We are a "ONE STOP SHOP" for all our our clients repair and remodeling needs. We know from being consumers ourselves, that more often than not, a service provider who specializes in only one thing will let us down by not doing the WHOLE JOB. An example of that is a plumber or electrician who repairs some wiring or a leaky pipe and leaves holes throughout the home. When we do work in a client;s home, not only do we do the actual work, but we repair everything but also patch and paint; leaving the home in beautiful condition. On larger projects like additions, kitchen and bath design and remodeling, or whole home remodeling, we create beautiful designs, assist the client in product selection, disassemble and remodel the project at hand and create beautiful living spaces for our clients. No two projects are the same but the end result is almost always the same.............its finished 100% to our client's expectations and we earn high marks in each category for a job well done. Thank you again for hiring our firm to do this work in your home and thank you for the excellent review on Angie's List."
"Once again - A HOME RUN! We received a message on Angie's List from this client and as per company policy got back to her immediately and set a time to meet. Her goal was to do a face lift on her aging kitchen so we got right on it. A few weeks later, the project was 100% complete and we are adding another very happy person to our wide range of clients. Premier HomePro PRIDES ourselves on doing a great. As we move into 2016, we would like to thank this client and all of the clients we have had that have made this yet another fantastic year for our firm. We grew every year during the recession and every year since its near ly ended. This past month we added a full service electrical division and are continuing our expansion into that market as well. I am not allowed to disclose this member's name, but Ms. Member, we thank you so much for being such an easy client to work with and hope you enjoy your new kitchen for years to come, Best. Alan Stevens President Premier HomePro 240 223 7034 [hyperlink]"
Premier Homepro demonstrated a commitment and professionalism that is rare in the remodeling business. Premier Homepro was on-site frequently to review the work. Premier Homepro demanded excellence from the work team and did not hesitate to redo something that was not to their standard.
Even after the project was completed and fully paid, Premier Homepro returned to correct every issue I had (all very minor). Their commitment to my satisfaction was evident throughout the project. I would not hesitate to recommend Premier Homepro.
"Thank you for the fine review. We could not have executed the project any better than we did. This client had a real problem. She had nearly 4 whole bathrooms that needed remodeling all at the same time. From our first appointment to completion, she was taken care of the whole way through. We will be posting pictures of the work. The bathrooms are awesome using HGTV style contemporary, not uber modern design. Marble accented by white and grey with wainscot paneling with chair rail accent the borders and dark cabinetry with marble tops just make one of the bathrooms shine with beauty. The frameless glass for the shower enclosure is an especially nice touch. We are so pleased you are happy and cannot thank you enough for this fine review! Alan Stevens President Premier Homepro 240 223 7034 [email protected]"
"We appreciate the feedback and there is the possibility that there were some communication issues regarding our service area, We do not service most parts of Frederick MD, Its out of our geographic range and we feel that its best to service clients who will not suffer from long commute times. My sincere apologies to this client if they feel we may have dropped the ball. I assure you that this is not our modus operandi and it will be followed up with future communication."
Brian served as the designer, choosing the fixtures, doors, cabinet design and location of all items in the bathroom. He acted as a general contractor providing on-site supervision and instruction for teams of workers. From the inception of the project, Mr. Matthews, was an effective salesman assisting me in the best product selection to achieve the right look for the bathroom.
He was personable, sincere and seemed to care about my mother who is 97. Also, he had a most reasonable price. The job was difficult in that the room to be renovated was a pantry built partially over a stone foundation, with a rotting window frame and rotting wall studs. The existing room had metal cabinets filled with junk and affixed to the walls. Brian made arrangements for a trash vendor to haul away the cabinets and bags and bags of trash. The house is over 100 years old.
The plumbing, I'm told was the most difficult because the concrete floor had to be jackhammered and all new pipes installed. The walls had to be insulated and reinforced because during demolition, it was discovered that the walls were deteriorated, An electric heater was installed to give heat in winter and it and other appliances required new circuit breakers.
The work site was left clean inside and on the outside property. I was almost in daily contact (about 1 month) with Brian who did most of the calling to see if we were satisfied with the progress and the outcome. The work was performed in Rockville and I live in Prince George County and was not able to do a daily observation of most of the work. We are completely satisfied with the work and appreciate the effort and long hours that were put into the project.
"it was really great to work with this client. We did have a few extra tasks to do and she was really pleased with the results. When we have delightful clients to work with, it makes life so much better for everyone. Brian Matthews is the consummate project manager who stays right on top of each job to ensure complete client satisfaction. We are pleased that he is a member of our team and thank him for years of dedicated service to our joint effort. Once again, thank you for the outstanding review! Best always, Alan Stevens President Premier HomePro 240 223 7034 www.premierhomepro.com"
