We were referred to Pillar to Post by our real estate agent. Because we are buying a bank-owned property (sold as-is), it was particularly important to work with someone who would document every detail. Rocky has been very easy to work with, very thorough (keeping safety, energy efficiency, and maximum length of use in mind), and always extremely professional. Rocky inspected a home we had contracted to purchase and was flexible in working with our tight-deadline schedule to inspect the house and do a last-minute expedited mold test. There were additional charges to expedite the mold test (shipping UPS overnight), which Rocky laid out for us in advance and we were happy to pay. The test showed that toxic mold was present, and Rocky's services saved us from a very costly--or deadly--mistake. When we found a second home we loved, there was no question that we wanted to work with Rocky again. Each inspection lasted about 2.5 hours (both were townhouses but I'm certain the duration of the inspection has more to do with the size of the house than keeping appointments to a pre-determined duration). Rocky took my husband and me around with him, room by room, to see and discuss each issue he identified, including the lot and exterior of the houses. Following the inspections, he sent a 70+ page report with detailed comments, photos, information, and recommendations. He also coordinated booking and payment for the subcontractor for pest inspection and sent the report for pests and radon test results to us by e-mail. In addition, on the day of inspection, he gave us a binder full of resources and some helpful money-saving tips. Throughout the process, Rocky has been very responsive to our questions and provided some referrals to radon mitigation specialists, as well. We cannot recommend Pillar to Post more highly.
