McCathran Electric

Came on time as scheduled, did meticulous work with almost no holes in drywall! This was impressive, given having to pull so many cables from main breaker box to various locations throughout the house. Used upgraded plugs with state-of-the-art safety features as his standard. Attention to detail including keeping things neat and vacuuming up any debris when finished. In addition to bring a competent and experienced electrician, he was friendly and flexible.

We were referred to Mccathran Electric by friends who had used them before. From the first call, Debbie was very professional and pleasant to deal with. I put in a request for a semi-rush job to have our light installed and they accommodated our needs by scheduling us sooner than we expected!
Bob arrived on time and got to work. His work was methodical and near perfect, leaving a barely visible small area of drywall that had to be cut to extend wiring to the new fixture. He took his time to make sure the job was done right from the start. We have used several home services in the past including electricians, handymen and other contractors. McCathran Electric is by far among the best. The get the job done thoroughly, on time and do excellent work.

Mr. McCathran was recommended to us by our next door neighbor who had been using McCathran Electric for years and was very happy with them. Mrs.McCathran answers the phones and schedules the estimates and appointments. Mr. McCathran came by at the scheduled time for the estimate. We told him what we needed done, and he explained in detail what the work would entail. We liked the estimate and so we had him do the work. He arrived promptly on the designated day, did the work meticulously and cleaned up afterward perfectly. He appears to take a lot of pride in his work, and he is very friendly. We are very, very pleased with the results.

The first call to McCathran Electric was very informative, cordial, and professional. Scheduling the free estimate went smoothly, as Bob was willing to accomodate our schedules. Bob arrived right on time for the appointment, and spent a lot of time with us to answer questions, discuss our plans, and provide his opinions and recommendations. Bob provided a timely written estimate, and we had no problem scheduling an appointment for the outside electrical work. Bob handled all permitting and completed the work perfectly and on schedule. Bob gets all A's from us, but price is probably really an A- or B+ becasue he is a little more expensive than some of the other electricians we had interviewed. However, what we got for a few extra dollars was the top-notch work of a master electrician with many years of experience, and the satisfaction of a job done flawlessly.

SLOW AND PRICEY

I let him pick the sconces for us and he would be coming back to install it. In the past he did an unbelievable job installing the low voltage lighting around the perimeter of my deck. He is honest and good. He follows the code. He is on time. He calls me if he is going to be late. He cleans up after himself. He helps you figure out if there is a cheaper way of doing things. When I write a check I feel it is well worth it. I have lots of ideas for him to work on in the future.

He is excellent to work with. His wife answers the phone and she is just delightful as well. He is also reasonable in cost.
