 + 0 moreI believe they are oriented in serving builders so we were low man on the totem pole. They put the floor in the house originally when it was built for the previous owner. It was like the left hand wasn't talking to the right hand. The communication was not always prompt in that it felt like it fell through the cracks. I'm sure their work is good. They are a large company and they have had success. I think it is just that we are not the kind of customer they are prepared to deal with. I was disappointed. It didn't seem like they were all that interested in getting our business. They were not good at returning phone calls.
Description of Work: We got an estimate from L & L Floor and Interiors because we were looking at expanding the amount of hardwood floor we have in our house.

 + 0 moreWe called several companies that were recommended on Angie's List, but they all gave us different advice, and wildly different quotes. We found L and L through a friend and called them. They were great! Their advice made sense. Their quote was well documented; and they were extremely professional. They showed up on time every day and did their best to stay out of our way. We gave them a key to come and go at their convenience, and they cleaned up every day after working. They were excellent and we would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: L and L Floor Specialists re-tiled three bathrooms in our DC house. The tile in our bathroom showers was falling off, in three bathrooms. We called multiple companies and asked each: 1) why is it falling off; and 2) what can we do to stop the problem (and make sure it won't happen again)? We got conflicting advice from everyone but L and L told us that it was due to a faulty material. We liked their explanation and they were able to verify it later, when they started in on the work. They re-tiled all three showers and made them look exactly as they had -- which is what we wanted. The jobs took several days, so we gave them a key and let them come and go at their convenience. But, once they started the job, they stayed on until it was completed.
