They were just average. The price was okay. The service itself was not so great. They do it more for the money, then they do for providing service. We measured for them when we wanted blinds for upstairs, and they said that they would only put them up if they measured them for us, and they would charge us to come and measure them. We will never go through them. He was punctual. He didn't explain what he was doing, he just came in put everything and went.

They could have done a better job where the edge of the wood floor meets the front door, there were some gaps, maybe about 2 or 3 millimeters in size. They didn't do a good job in another part where the bathroom meets the hallway. There are gaps there that are kind of more obvious. I would consider using them, they'd be in the running but not at the top.

There was one part I thought they could have done better. In one part of the home its hard to tell but the carpet doesn't quite meet the edge of the floor.

Ordered the right door on line and paid 99.00 to have it shipped to my house because it advertised as and quot;An easy 1 2 3 installationand quot;. Once we got it out of the box, we realized it was not as advertised, not an easy 1 2 3 installation. Tried to call my store many times, which is the Germantown store and they would not answer the phone. So, I ended up calling the Gaithersburg store. They made arrangements for someone to come out and measurew because they said they could not install the door without measuring first. They waved the measuring cost. When the guy came out to measure he started telling me that I would have to have the alarm company come out and remove the alarms system. Turns out they had told him it was an exterior door, not a storm door. Once we got it straight on what was being installed, he looked at the door and told me it was the wrong size and I would have to reorder the door. Called the store, and the lady on the phone kept trying to put the correct size door in the cart, and it kept putting the wrong size door in there which is exactly what happened to me. She processed the return of the wrong door for me, gave me an RMA number and the number of who to call to pick it up. I called and made arrangements for the return and they returned it to the store. The store lost it. They did find it eventually and process my refund but in the meatime, they changed installation companies and someone else had to come out and measure AGAIN!!! They still would not refund the original $99 they charged me for shipping. It took another month for someone to come out and install the correct door. Mean time still hadn't got my refund for the incorrect door. I called the store and they looked all over and finally found it in the trash!!! They did process my refund then. All in all not a good experience and will never use their services again.

Home Depot replaced all my windows and did a really nice job. I had multiple quotes and they were the lowest. There was no sales pressure (unlike the others) -- the estimator simply showed me some brochures while he measured, and recommended a good window style. There was no pressure to sign immediately, and he said give him a call if I had any questions. It took about 5 or 6 weeks to get the windows in and the crew showed up ready to go. They were very professional, efficient, and left no debris. Everything was installed and caulked nicely.

Overall, all experiences were good. We had a few issues with roof install and kitchen install, but in both cases Home Depot stepped in and ensure issues were corrected immediately and efficiently with no additional cost to us. Exterior door install was not as good as we had hoped, but only in that the installer left a fairly good mess for us to clean up and marred the door frame.

Great job. This was the sixth set of exterior doors we've purchased from Home Depot. Unfortunately, each time they charge for things that were previously free such as removing the old doors (hint: you can give them away online so don't pay to have them hauled). But they stand by their work and correct any issues without argument. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

It went great. The windows look great and the contractors were awesome.

We have a lovely new washer which has worked fine so far, and yet another installer anecdote, probably my favorite one that's happened to me personally.

We spent about 5 hours (in 2 sessions) with a Home Depot sales consultant to design the layout of the wetbar, select the cabinets and the granite for the counter top, and order them. The sales consultant was very helpful and patient. The cabinets arrived within 3 weeks. After they were installed, we contacted the Stone and Tile World to see the stone, have the counter top size measured, stone fabricated and installed. The entire process went over very well. Both staffs at Home Depot and Stone and Tile World were friendly and kept us informed. The wet bar looks beautiful. I have read bad reviews about Home Depot, most were due to bad contractors they used. I checked the reviews of Stone and Tile World at Angie's List and Checkbook and found it was rated very well. We also compared the price of the granite with 2 other stores and found the price at Home Depot was comparable. We also ordered the sink with Home Depot, but found the price at Amazon.com was much cheaper. We returned the sink, Home Depot was nice not to charge us the re-stock fee.

We were very happy with them. They stood behind their work. Their designer was excellent. He was personable and responsive.

They do a great job and are very professional in the work area. They clean up well and kept the jobsite from turning into a mess. Their cuts for the hardwood floor were precision and done with great detail. I am stickler on good quality work and that is what they provided. I would recommend them to anyone in the future.

I spent $8,000 on the work. They did a good job. They worked continuously from the time they came out to the time they left. They were very clean. Once they left, I could not even tell that they had come out. They were very courteous and they were on time. They did everything that they said they would do. I had received other estimates and theirs was the best price. I will use them again in the future.

The entire process was great. Home Depot understood the products they were selling and offered great suggestions. There was no pressure. The installation was smooth and professional. In an order this size, there are always issues. They corrected the problems and came out as soon as possible to get the job done. They made me feel like a valued customer. I will be ordering from them again -- I have more sliding glass doors to buy.

The installers were fast and did a decent job on all. Just a few annoyances with the blinds: (1) the Roman shades were delayed in shipment from the manufacturer by several weeks; (2) blinds for the Master bedroom are just a little too long (like 3/4"); (3) and despite several attempts by us to remedy the situation, the cornices for the wooden blinds in my son's bedroom are missing the short side pieces. That's why I downgraded their ratings on everything but price.

I purchased a home in Feb. In March I looked for a fence installer. (get estimates) I went to home depot and was told the person that did this was not there. I would have to fill out a form and he would call in a few days. This was OK. I continued to get quote's, Never heard from anyone at home depot. Two weeks after, I received a message on my phone asking to come out and talk about what I wanted to do. "I'm not sure what it is you want done, but we can talk about your decking needs". (What decking??) At this point all my estimates where in and I had decided. To sum up They attempted to contact me 2 weeks later and didn't know what I wanted the quote on/for. I did talk to some at the store. They asked if I'd wish to reschedule.

In terms of overall service, my question is what service? It is difficult to find anyone for help and if you're lucky and find someone, he/she is too busy helping someone else. We have also had it where one employee went to find help and never came back. We once had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone to show up at the paint counter so we can buy some paint. In the meantime, no other employee offered to find help. There was a long line by the time one single employee came to the counter. Even simple things can be frustrating. I had to have a couple of keys duplicated. There was at first a 10 minute wait for a person to show up to find the person. After three attempts (including driving back and forth 3 times) and losing the original inside the machine, I was finally able to have my keys duplicated and thank goodness he and another staff member found my original key that had fallen inside the machine. When we were planning on remodeling our kitchen, we had to wait a long time for someone in that section to show up to help us. Then we were told we had to make an appointment. Our kitchen is pretty small--about 8'x8'. We wanted new floors, cabinets and countertops. We also wanted to switch the places of the kitchen sink and the dishwasher. The estimate was almost $18,000 and that did not include taking down and removing the old cabinets, countertops, and flooring. Additionally, the employee said they would not guarantee the work because they contract out remodeling services, so you never know what you're going to get. So, needless to say, we did not go with them. Ceiling fan and lighting selections are very limited. We ended up going elsewhere for those items.

After asking for a measurement estimate, I scheduled a specific date after nearly an hour with an untrained associate at their store on their computers. Apparently HD doesn't communicate with their contractor, who not only would not honor the promised date, but refused give me even a 3-4 hour window of time. "Home Depot policy is to only give the exact time on the morning of the appointment". What a ridiculous way to run a business. If my cable company can give me a 3 hour window of time to expect service, I had expected HD to be better. Took my business elsewhere...they never even got a chance to measure for my business because of their scheduling policies

Went poorly overall. Home Depot managers were quick to make promises that they could not keep. Because the entrance floor was installed over the existing floor, the result is a floor that "moves" when I walk on it. Also, the moldings that were installed around the edges are coming apart. The threshold to the kitchen has long disintegrated. We complained about this substandard work on many occasions and received promises from their manager that it would be fixed. Once we even got a handshake and promise from their district manager but no one showed up and the floor is still in a sad state. Unfortunately we had to pay them when the work was done and we had no recourse.

They were excellent. My water heater went out Saturday night and I had a new one already to go by Sunday evening. They were very quick. I liked how they got right to the job.

They are very good. I have had them out to do a couple jobs already. They are always very professional and prepared for the job at hand. I would definitely recommend them to others in our community.

OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. HOME DEPOT WAS UNABLE TO SCHEDULE SOMEONE TO INSTALL THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER FOR 2 AND A HALF WEEKS AFTER OUR PURCHASE DATE, BUT THE CONTRACTOR WAS QUITE PROFESSIONAL AND CAPABLE.
