This was an old car that needed a lot of work which had been put off for far too long. The service director, Sami, was confident in his shop's ability to handle the electrical, leakage, and other issues that needed to be addressed. The shop offered me a ride home, pick up service, or the use of a shop rental car for my convenience. Sami gave me regular updates by phone and email and the total cost was very close to what was estimated. The extra amount was for some minor parts that were replaced were recommended by the mechanic to extend the life of the car. I will definitely go back to this auto shop.

They have a deal where you can get 5(?) oil changes for $150(?) if you pay upfront. I forget how much it is for an individual oil change, but this makes it much cheaper per oil change. We purchased that. We also had them perform the Maryland inspection on our car which cost approx. $80 because we just moved from another state. They did this on a Saturday morning and because the inspection takes a while they drove my husband back home to wait for them to finish (because we only have 1 car), and also called him when it was done and came back to pick him up.

.I am definitely going to use Hillmuth again. Their prices were reasonable. They did professional work, advised me of other issues with my vehicle. The also pickup and deliver.

Hillmuth ended up having to order three different front pipes to find one the fit properly and the bill ended up about $40 less than their original estimate. The shop communicated well with me and kept me up to date. The repair completely fixed the original problem.

The customer service experience was, on the whole, positive. The service managers I spoke to, both on the phone and in person, were polite and responsive to my questions. The services I authorized were performed at the price I was quoted and in the timeframe that I was promised. They even adhered to my request to save the old motor mount they replaced, so that I could see its condition. The shop seems well run and customer service oriented. That said, the reason I would be reluctant to go back is that the prices I was quoted (for services I didn't actually have performed) were very high. For some of the same services on the same car, I was quoted much lower prices a couple months ago in a different city, before I recently moved. And in my experience of having had many vehicles serviced by many different independent shops, chain shops, and dealerships, this shop's prices were among the highest I've seen. In addition (and unfortunately common to many shops), they tended to include services in their quotes, or recommend services, that are rarely recommended by manufacturers (e.g. brake and power steering fluid flushes, additives for the fuel system, as well as additives for oil and coolant changes), and are of dubious value. In summary, if you want a shop that provides good customer service, but isn't a dealer, and don't mind paying high prices, then this is probably as good as most. However, if saving money is important to you, it's likely that you could find another shop that would provide quality service for less money.

We have been going there for several years. They are very good. They are friendly, explain everything to you and try to do the best that they can price wise.

They are really good mechanics but they are pricey; you are paying for what you get there but they are really good. They are honest and all of those things. I price shop a little more and try to find a little better price. Everything is nice there and they are real professional but everything is on the high end there. I will not use them again in the future.

They are friendly, professional and have a good sense of humor. They always call before starting any work to let you know what the problem is and what they plan to do. At first, not well. Problems continued with leak and power steering fluid. Returned vehicle and proper maintenance was done. Price was higher than dealer ($149 vs $99 for power steering fluid change).

They do a specific task of mounting tires for me. Other than that, I don’t use them for anything else. They do a great job, are reasonably priced, and are very efficient.

It went pretty well. I was there on the scheduled time and dropped it off. They fixed it on the same day. They were pretty easy to work with. I did not have any issues. I will be going back to them. Their price was very reasonable but I cannot remember as to what it was.

They charged a couple of hundred dollars for their service. I was very pleased with their customer service. They are a friendly group of people. They make me feel welcome. They explain everything to me. In fact, they even wanted me to come back into the garage area. They wanted to show me what in particular I needed to know. I am very happy with them.

They did a nice job, they gave me a time table and stuck with it. They gave me a ride to my house and back and that was very helpful. I've seen the inspection for less money.

I needed a quick AC repair before going on vacation. I found out later that they were very high for the service performed in my area. The service was fine, just a little too pricey.

I have used them in the past. They are very professional and you can trust them. I feel comfortable going there. They are very clean. Their price is little bit higher, but their quality is very good.

We always go there and they are very good. They are not cheap, but they are also not expensive. They are also friendly.

Very professional and trustworthy. They let me know that there were some other issues with my truck then told me which ones I should have fixed and which ones could be put off. Rob Ripson was the main person I dealt with and if all Hillmuth employees are like him, I will never look for another mechanic! They may be a little more expensive than other mechanics I've used but it's so rare that you can find one you can completely trust!

I brought the car to Hillmuth based on a word-of-mouth referral. I explained the situation and mentioned that because the car had 100,000+ miles I did not want to spend a lot of money on it. They said they would run a test to determine the problem. The cost of the test would be about $150. Well, $150 seemed a lot, but I reasoned that once tested I would know for sure what the issue was. Later that morning I received a call saying that the test was inconclusive, so they would like to run another test, this one only added $75 to the bill. I thought "well, its only $75 more", so OKed the second test... and then a third, and then a fourth. Final bill was just under $500. The results: it just condensation. I brought it to another garage and they determined (for free) in 15 minutes that it was not a cracked block or head gasket and was likely due to condensation. Hillmuth is death by a 1000 cuts. Each "test" was not that expensive, but the final bill for all the tests was crazy. My guess is that they are a competent auto repair firm and if you want a thorough exam with extensive testing then these guys maybe the company for you. However, after this experience I will not use their services a second time.
